Welcome to Silent Cove!

Silent Cove is a small lagoon sheltered from the roaring seas by a high rock wall and a wide-spread sand bar. There is only one entrance to this peaceful place so all new-comers, be they friend or foe, can be clearly seen.

Although there is evident that humans may once have known about Silent Cove, it is obvious that they have long since moved on. The occasionally human item such as a shiny coin or a old can may occasionally be found by those who investigate the ocean floor. However, the biggest mark left by humans is the old raft firmly anchored to the middle of Silent Cove. It is chained to a heavy weight on the Cove floor and doesn't seem to move more than a gentle sway. It's wooden top has been worn smooth by countless years of rain and it's the perfect place for an Everblue or two to sit and watch the stars without having to worry about becoming beached.

Entangled between the chain of the raft and the rock wall is an old fishing net. Although it is too weak to be a threat to an Everblue, it does a super job at catching the small and delicious herring that dart quickly around the Cove. An enterprising Everblue may also attempt to get at the large shrimp that hide under small rocks and craggy face of the rock wall, but they are not an easy catch. They are a favored Everblue item though, so they may be worth the attempt.

There are two cave systems in the rock wall. Once, a lower cave near the Cove floor has several chambers, one which contains beautiful phosperant rocks. The rock's glow change with the tides, meaning the chamber alters between the subtle light of a night sky or the full blaze of a summer sun.
For those brave enough to try without music, the cave is big enough for several Everblue to swim/dance in.

The other cave is not explored as often. It sits near the waterline and is partially submerged. In times past some pirate or privateer used it to hold their treasure. However, the cave become covered in water and that treasure was lost forever to it's unrightful owner. Now Everblues occasionally attempt to retrieve necklaces or other trinkets as tokens of love for their others. It is not an easy voyage. The water in the cave is very shallow and unknown creatures haunt it's chambers. Those who dare must speak to their pod leaders to even try.

Reale had never been one to run late- even fashionably late- but the Leviathan had gotten hopelessly sidetracked along the way. He would rather not think of the circumstances of his delay, though. They were much to embarrassing to him.. even if the locals of the coral reef he had been forced to take shelter in found it very funny.

... Bah.

The dark colored Leviathan entered the Silent Cove in a foul mood, thanks to a few too-forward denizens of the sea. He gave a cursory glance to the surroundings of the Cove, not quite as appreciative as he normally would have been, and continued on his muttering swim until his gaze happened to land upon the waiting Aira.

The sun was just beginning to drop from its zenith, and so the light from the above world angled into the waters to hit the female perfectly. Quite literally, it was a picture perfect image Reale saw.

His angry mood drained away- mostly- and an almost-smile made its way onto his face. His childhood friend really did look beautiful, especially in these settings, and... He shook his head. Admiring her was all well and good, but anything further than that (like the attraction he had felt to her earlier) was surrounded by a line he thought he should not cross. Even if a small voice in the back of his mind said that he had already crossed it... and should do so again, if Aira were willing.

Reale nodded, giving the surroundings something a little better than a cursory glance, though he found that he kept looking at Aira out of the corner of his eye. Strange... she seemed to hold herself more stiffly than she usually did, as if she were embarrassed or nervous... But it wasn't as if he weren't feeling that way as well.

"It is beautiful here.." He was tempted to say to the Deep with the line he had drawn in his mind around Aira, but... he had grown up with the determination to follow what he set out as rules. Still.. Ach. To the Deep it went, at least partially. Yes, she had been his only childhood friend- had remained his only friend- and it was awkward to be attracted to her... but he didn't like feeling skittish around Aira. "But I believe that you give the Cove a run for the title, Airadean.." After all, what's the worst that could happen?

Well, besides everything.

Reale tilted his head at Aira, concerned at her apparent increase in the tense way she held herself. Had he said the wrong thing? A nervous, uneasy feeling wormed its way further into his insides at the speculation of what she actually thought about him, but he banished it with a shake of his head, temporarily, when Aira spoke again.

"Now that you mention it-" ~rumble~

".... I am a little hungry." Reale offered Aira an embarrassed smile, mentally cursing the loudness of his stomach when it became insistant. "And shrimp couldnt' sound better."
