Update March 28th
gonk Some people didn't see the instructions... but the following people are coloring females



And everyone else who wants to, will do males. When they are done... they are not done yet. You're not obligated to color, and I'm not expecting everyone to (I'm guessing a female to male ratio of 8/8 for now... will adjust when we know what everyone else is doing) There is no due date yet.

Don't sweat the coloring guys whee just do the best that you can. We're all our own worst critics, for one, and for another it doesn't take much to be good enough for the breedable community *cough wink* You're all wonderful heart

I don't know about anybody else, but it is taking forever for ANYTHING on Gaia to load... actually... it's taking forever for anything ANYWHERE to load for me, so it must be just me. But that's why I've been absent stressed I flew into a blind rage today, ya'll shoulda seen me! heh...heh...Anyway, a list of tasks for general members looking for something to do/ feeling helpless:

1. Color a dragon. Even if you are not doing a female this time around, you may always color one for later (don't do like a thousand though ninja ).

2. Start thumbnailing your pictures! I'm sure Sora would appreciate the help. Only do this if you know what you're doing. Thumbnails are 75x200 (width by height) with a one pixel border of "your crayon color" around it. If you finish yours, post them here in the thread with the links to where the full pictures are. If you don't want to/don't have time to/don't feel like it/ because we ARE working on it, it's just a lot of work for so many people eek

3. Put a shop banner in your sig. If the banners we have don't match your tastes, make a new one! Everyone would greatly appreciate any contributions on that front biggrin

4. Donate some gold? xp hehe current total: nearly 7000 gold


K guys, the term is just starting for me and I have classes from morning till night tomorrow, so Roseanne will be back Tuesday night or Wednesday.



3.27.05-- Attention all accepted members! PM "TehColorist" with any info that is missing from the shop profiles (link above ^). Also, make sure that you have sent either TehColorist or Sora Icefreeze SEVEN pieces of lineart (sorry, I know I said 5, but seven apparently fits better in the layout or something sweatdrop ). (Some) dragon lineart up with instructions, pages 14 + 15 in this thread.

And I'm a colorist looking for work, so I'd definitely be interested!

I like this idea, and i'm intrested to be part of it... maybe have the shops in just the commissions...?

I'm going to start it, I suppose, and with more of a "shop" setting to it than a "listing" setting. I haven't gotten feedback on which of those two is more of an appealing idea, but I'm guessing "shop" is anyway.

And it'll probably be in Requests and Commissions or in the Minishops main forum. I still haven't quite decided... o_O; but I'm going to start a gathering thread (or rename this one/rearrange it a little) and so I'll have time to think about it and others will have time to yell at me about it ^^.

Right now things to think about are:
+how many colorists?
+are we going to have to enforce some level of quality/exclude some people? (I'd really hate to do this, as it makes ME feel *really* self-conscious about my own work)
+Is a name important? so far my only firm idea about it is that it should have "COLORISTS" very boldly in the subject xd

I'll rearrange the first post ^^;

That's exactly what I was thinking (tentatively... ninja ) 3nodding (as far as the "core" and then a "listing" type thing) so long as it doesn't get too confusing. ^^ That is, if there even are enough people for that interested biggrin

That might be an idea. If we made it a guild, we could also expand it to be a resource- with toturials, links to useful downloads, critique each other's work and stuff. That could be neat. I'd be willing to pitch in a few k for a guild.

Edit: I also have I lineart set that I could throw in as I'm not using it. If we were looking for a fun way to finance a guild, once we have enough members we could each colour one, sell them, and use the proceeds to start the guild. It'd be a good way to get a bit of publicity, as well. It's of some faery dragons. I'll see if I can dig it out when I get home.
