Anya
I am baaack!!!!!

*is holding two little bundles, covered in blankets to protect them from the cold*

Yuumei - I really really liked your diary entry *takes of her hat and bows*

*walks to the changing table and puts the bundles down*

Ok, these are Ghlyssa and Morion! Their guardians are Svrellia and GunsmokeGirl

*unfolds onr of the bundles and shows it to the public*

This is Ghlyssa, I found her in the garden behind Sabin's house. She was almost frozen solid, the poor thing! I think she will make good friends with the plant fae children.

*Ghlyssa makes cute baby sounds and yawns*

*gently putting Ghlyssa back on the bed, Anya walks up to the other bundle*

*the other bundle is struggling with the blanket that is over it's face and there are muffled sounds coming from underneath*

*Anya looks sheepish and picks up the bundle*

Umm ... and this is Morion ... errrrrr ... yeah.

*is not taking the blanket off*
Svrellia
*gasps as she sees Ghlyssa sleeping and creeps closer while trying not to wake her up*
Oh my, she's beautiful! And she looks so happy and sweet!
*lifts her gently and holds her close*
*Ghlyssa opens her eyes and stares for a moment at Svrellia*
Hi, baby, I'm your Mommy. *Svrellia nearly whispers this as she tries not to cry in joy*
*Ghlyssa stares for a moment longer then her mouth opens wide in a huge dimpled smile and she grabs Svrellia's nose and giggles*
*Svrellia tickles Ghlyssa and talks and plays with her until Ghlyssa yawns and snuggles deeper into her arms. Then she gently rocks her back to sleep and puts her snugly into bed for a well deserved rest.*

Ghlyssa was found on the 20th of January in the year of 2004. She was nearly freezing in the garden behind Sabin Duvert's house, but when Anya brought her to me wrapped up in that little blanket, the first thing she did was giggle and grab my nose. We've been together ever since. She's very carefree and worries little, though that has changed a bit as of late. See her diary for the reasons behind this.

Ghlyssa loves spending time in the forest alone or with friends. She has a friend in a tree spirit deep within the forest and spends much of her time there. She heals quickly within this tree, and though it is on the same dimension as the world, it seems to connect to a realm that is slightly different, a realm that Ghlyssa has a connection to somehow.

Ghlyssa has slowly learned the difference between good and evil. She doesn't truly understand what the meaning of evil is, but if someone tries to hurt a friend of hers or a family member, she will intensely dislike whoever is behind such an atrocity. For the most part, she tends to be rather neutral. It doesn't seem like it since she is always surrounded by people she cares about. She would go out of her way to help any member of the plant kingdom, but for another creature she did not know... who can say?

Languages
Ghlyssa speaks common and Sylvan, as well as the language of plants and plant creatures which is not spoken. She also speaks one of the ancient druidic languages, though she does not realize it. This is how she communicates with her tree. When she visited the Earthkeeper, she also learned to speak Elvish since these were the one species of animals that the Earthkeeper studied closely.

Powers
Ghlyssa's powers are not very useful to her in emergency situations. Most of her abilities are related to plant life. She can help plants grow, and can heal them to a certain extent. If they are too badly damaged, she can only help by sending some of her own life force into them to promote rapid regrowth. She can also speak with plants and plant creatures through a language that uses no words.

Her music may not really be considered a power, but it is definitely supernatural in nature. She creates sounds on a harp that seem almost impossible. When Ghlyssa plays, it is as though the music of nature has been carried to where she is standing. The music induces a calming effect, a strong sense of peace and well-being. A person feels that all their dreams are possible. The strange thing is, it has the same effect on both kind-hearted individuals and those who are evil-minded as well.

A surprise that Ghlyssa quickly blocked from her memory is that she has the ability to transform herself into a green mist. This occured when Taka's shadow attacked our home. I haven't commented to her on it because I know she would mention it if she chose to remember.

There are probably powers she has shown an ability for that I have forgotten to mention. It is hard to remember everything about my daughter all at once.

The Earthkeeper
Ghlyssa recently visited the Earthkeeper's Realm. It was not a trip she wished to make. The Earthkeeper called upon the traveller spirits to bring Ghlyssa to her realm. During the trip, Ghlyssa discovered that she had once been a part of the Earthkeeper. The spirit had released a small part of her soul when she heard Svrellia's voice calling into the void for the girl. This shard became Ghlyssa, who Anya found in Sabin's garden.

The Earthkeeper is a spirit who was born with the dawn of our galaxy. It realized it was a living being during the time when the first plants were showing up on the planet. It withdrew shortly to watch the world from afar, but this caused alot of turmoil. Mass extinctions happened because of this, and the spirit later discovered that is because it lends much of its energy to the world, allowing plants to grow.

Due to the Earthkeeper's brief retreat, the animals and humans that evolved afterwards are not dependent on the spirit. It has no power over animals and humans, and this is part of the reason it released part of its soul to become Ghlyssa. The spirit wanted to learn more about the new inhabitants of Earth. However, Ghlyssa became much more independent than the Earthkeeper expected.

The Earthkeeper was never able to take on a true physical form, existing instead as a mist within the depths of the Earth. Perhaps it is because Ghlyssa became a physical being that she grew so quickly apart from the Earthkeeper.

A Note

Just because someone is not listed here does not mean Ghlyssa does not consider them to be a friend. These are only my notes on how I think Ghlyssa feels about a few of the other fa'e and some of her other friends who are not fa'e. Ghlyssa may know more fa'e than she has told me about. And just because Ghlyssa considers someone to be her friend does not mean they have to consider her a friend as well. Someone on this list may secretly hate her for all I know.

About Garyn
Ghlyssa met Garyn before she met anyone else... other than myself or Anya of course. He had a different form then however. That of a tree, his spirit residing within. Ghlyssa healed his tree when she had just grown into her toddler stage. The Earthkeeper pulled him from the tree, and he was forced to undergo a naming ceremony. Now he can never take the form of a true plant again, and instead chooses to live as a plant creature. He and Ghlyssa have a strong bond, which causes... strange things to occur.

About Aylana
Another of the first friends she made. Aylana spoke telepathically to Ghlyssa, surprising the girl a good bit, but she soon grew accustomed to it and misses Aylana dearly as she has not seen her often recently. Along with Nyoka and Shina, Aylana is one of Ghlyssa's blood sisters.

About Shina
Ghlyssa cares for Shina alot, and perhaps relates best to her. Shina has a high regard for life of all types and Ghlyssa shares that with her. She was overjoyed when Shina emerged from her spirit cocoon healed as she was. Shina recently gave Ghlyssa a necklace that helped her during her trials in the Earthkeeper's realm. Along with Nyoka and Aylana, Shina is one of Ghlyssa's blood sisters.

About Nyoka
Ghlyssa did not know Nyoka very well at all until introduced to her by Aylana. On a journey to discover more about Aylana's past, these two learned more about eachother through trials that Ghlyssa had never imagined she would face. Due to that trip, four of the fa'e girls have become blood sisters. Ghlyssa, Nyoka, Aylana and Shina share a strong bond.

About Laylana
Ghlyssa almost envies Lana's strength of spirit, admiring her determination and ability to bounce back from a bad situation.

About Riven
Ever since what happened at Shina's house between Shina, Hoshi, Riven, Silver and Ghlyssa, she has felt a certain affinity with the four. Now Ghlyssa is entranced by how fun it is to be around Riven. She loves to fly with him and can leave her worries behind when she's with him. She has also become a bit curious about him as of late.

About Aurora
Ghlyssa met Aurora before she was ever planted. Amy had talked to me and I had informed her that Ghlyssa may be able to talk to the seed's spirit. She was, and truly enjoyed being able to converse with someone she felt was so similar to herself in many ways. They will likely be fast friends once Aurora is born.

About Silver
Ghlyssa adores Silver and admires him for his desire to help protect the other Fa'e. She has also felt a particular connection to him after what happened at Shina's house. She has a rune on her hand from Silver that is only visible when it is active.

About Morion
The first person Ghlyssa ever spoke to. Her shouts of "Sar Mrion" are still pleasant in my memories. She was worried for him after what happened to him at the party Smoke threw (quite without his knowledge ^^), but is glad to find that everything turned out so well.

Ghlyssa is a baby
A picture of Ghlyssa when she had just been found. She was the sweetest baby I've ever had the honor of looking after. She rarely cried, though she did once when we went to a butcher shop. I never had to worry about her during the night, she would talk to her friend Trennyn in their language and was a perfectly happy little girl. While she was a baby, sometimes blue marking would glow on her. It worried me a bit, but it was truly beautiful.

Ghlyssa is a toddler
Ghlyssa soon grew into a toddler. It was such a quick change! She started crawling and even attempted to begin playing the harps I bought for her. Even at her young age, the music she produced was too lovely to describe in words. Also, the blue markings became a permanent fixture on her body.

Ghlyssa has a tattoo?
A few days after she had grown into a toddler, she briefly met Hoshi. The remarkable little boy gave her a star and told her how to use it. Before I could stop her, she slapped it onto her ankle and it has been there ever since. From what I've heard from the others, Hoshi has some sort of connection with the fa'e through these stars.

Ghlyssa is a kid
It wasn't long before my darling little girl had grown yet again, this time growing much more than before. She was able to run better with her stronger legs, and she began flying more often. I thought at first it was because her wings were stronger, but I've seen her fly and she doesn't flap her wings as much as I would have thought necessary. Strange...

Where's my little girl!?
A good while after she grew into a kid, Ghlyssa went missing! She was angered at me for keeping important information from her, and I will never truly forgive myself for the incident. I worried for her more than I have ever worried in my life... despite all my searching, it seemed to be of no avail...

Ghlyssa's back... as a teen
About five days after she went missing, Ghlyssa showed back up at the house. I embraced her, at first not even noticing the change. I was too delighted to have her home again to think of such things. Afterwards, I saw the difference in her. She had not grown much in height... she is still shorter than most of the fa'e... even some of the kids regrettably. But there was a noticeable change in her. And now she seems... almost haunted somehow... she's shown alot of anger recently, but I think that it is because she is growing and having trouble reconciling her new age. I hope that is all it is...

Ghlyssa's Room
This is a picture of Ghlyssa's room. She has planted more flowers since I last took a picture, particularly the flowers given to her as a gift from Flarie and Lana. I tore the floor out when Ghlyssa was a toddler. It was a lot of work! But it gave her more space to glow flowers in, and it was worth it to see her so happy. She spends alot of time in her room, just relaxing or writing in her diary.

Lana's Gift
This plant and fairy were given to Ghlyssa as a gift. She waters the plant everyday and brings the fairy some fruit. Anytime she isn't home, I water it for her. It was a gift from Flarie and Lana.

Slytherin Family Gift
This egg is a gift from the Slytherin Family! It should hatch on Easter. Look at it bounce, it looks so happy! ^_^ Ghlyssa has it in her room to keep it nice and warm. Nyoka is sick right now, but we're hoping she will be better soon!

A note
This is not the entire family. The entire family can be found here. These are the members of our family that I believe Ghlyssa is closest to. About Rhianna
Rhianna is one of the newest additions to our family, but she waltzed in and made herself right at home. She came from an electrically charged bottle and will still on occassion zap me. She never zaps Ghlyssa (lucky girl), but instead tends to follow her around in the woods. Eventually her appearance even changed to start looking similar to her. Ghlyssa loves spending time with Rhianna.

About Trennyn
Trennyn was the first pet that Ghlyssa ever came into contact with. And he isn't really a pet anymore. He has become a dearly loved member of the family. And even though he tends to spend more time alone now, he and Ghlyssa will always be close friends. The bond shared between Ghlyssa and Trennyn is deep. She also cares for the other bloomlings, but Trennyn will always be the one she can confide in most.

About Oasis
Oasis is my genie. She came from a lamp covered in flowers with a little butterfly. She doesn't speak our language, but Ghlyssa has almost finished learning as much of the genie language as possible. The two played together constantly at one time. But Oasis isn't as happy as she once was... perhaps because she so rarely gets to see one of her own kind.

About Dermyn
Dermyn is anything but a pet. He is definitely a full fledged member of the household. And he loves to taunt me with that. He cares for Ghlyssa more than he will ever admit, having fond memories of when Ghlyssa would pull on his tail and request rides. He takes it upon himself to keep an eye out for her, though most of the time she doesn't even realize she is being watched. He still can't forgive himself for not being there when he felt it was most important that he should... when Ghlyssa went missing for those long five days. He is much more careful now to remain close to her always.

About Ainsley
Ainsley is most assuredly the most light hearted member of our family. She acts as though she were a queen or princess, constantly demanding the most choice seats of the house and preening nonstop. Nonetheless, we all adore her and wouldn't ask her to change for the world. Ainsley was a gift to "Little Leaf" from Eirnae. Ghlyssa will never tire of this little fairy cat's constant affections.

She went flying late at night, but something attacked her... maybe the imp? Not really sure.

Ghlyssa meets Silver and Cir today. Silver makes a strange rune on her hand... it's only visible when active.

After helping Shina, Ghlyssa's tree was wilting and she had to heal it. Later, she went to Morion's party and for the first time, vines sprung from her wrists.

Ghlyssa felt a strange presence following her today, without malevolence.

Svrellia goes to look up information about the Earthkeeper and while she is gone Ghlyssa begins to hear the Earthkeeper's voice in her head. Later, Kapu shows up and leaves a frightening note for Ghlyssa.

Kapu shows up while David is visiting... he is knocked unconscious and Ghlyssa allows the Earthkeeper to posess her long enough to drive Kapu's spirit away. Taka shows her a vision...

I am so very impressed that you were able to find a harp for Ghlyssa - and such a spectacular one at that! *clap clap clap* As Ghlyssa grows up into a toddler you will see flowers psorut on her head formth hidden buds that have been developing in the leaflike strands of her hair. There are also some blue markings developing on her wings and the joints of her hands and feet.
