Story:

Shiaree smiled softly at the little bowl of ice. She'd been drawn to it when she was looking through the catalogue of various ice cream/frozen treats. She had decided to ask Schala-Kitty about adopting another Scoop, and had already picked this one out upon doing a bit of research.

Really, though, it was perfectly gorgeous. She still did not know anything about it-- she had preferred to keep it a surprise.

Gently, she settled it on the kitchen counter.

"Celes, make sure that no one bothers Passionfruit, all right?" she asked the glowing sword that was settled curiously nearby. Celes blinked once in acquiescence, and Shiaree left to let it melt.

The calm night rolled on and the ice melted secretly. Soon, it's ripple of purple and white slid over the surface as if waiting for something to happen.

At then the wish was fullfilled. A bright gold feather arose, dripping at first. It dried as the hat it was connected to sailed around. Finally, the face of our mysterious hero was revealed. Sleek tabby markings painted his face and his gold-green eyes darted about. Upon catching sight of the Sphere, he knew at once what to do. He pulled off his hat, revealing snowy hair, and flattened back his purple ears. And he gave her.... The Face - his secret weapon that made all bow to his every whim. A small mew was added for effect.

Celes was...fascinated by the process. The soft, frozen mixture of water, cream, and sugar (amongst other assorted things she could not begin to guess) slowly melted back into a liquid form.

Just as she was quite certain that it had completely liquified, she saw something stir, and it began to once again coalesce into a more solid form. This time, however, it was not just little round mounds, but instead a rather feline looking creature with a funny looking hat on his head.

The sword blinked in surprise, and then dulled, sending out a mental call for their caretaker. Having recieved no response, however, she assumed that this Shiaree was out of her range, or just particularly busy, and she continued simply to watch the creature and to hope that none of the others got very close to it. She was certain at least a few of them would be inclined to try and consume him, feline form or not.

He is positively adorable. I do not think that there is a being alive that could not be charmed by this cute little bit of ice cream. He's cheerful, sweet, and seems to know just what to say to make everyone happy. And that darling little accent!

Tutti loves him to death. She has been carting him about here and there and everywhere. Vanilla loves him too, but he has been so busy with Chocolate and their wedding plans and such....

Oh, I must go. I think Sagitta and Cera have come over for a visit.

Passion absolutely -loves- his new cousin. I mean, it's a bit weird for him not being the baby of the family (the entire family, of course. He's still a baby in our family) but he likes it, too.

He's fascinated, though, with the idea. He asked me how Checks came to be the other day. I told him I would tell him later-- I'm still not sure how I want to break it to him. Each of my children have responded differently, and each of them needed a different way of being told. I don't know what Passion's way is yet.
