Try giving the kids more of a street sound. Kids on the street would use more slang wnd wouldn't necessarily speak with perfect grammar.

Thanks for the suggestion. Right now I'm focussing on getting the entire thing written (the novel's not quite 1/3 finished) and then incorporating good suggestions when I begin the editting process.

How does one go about "updating" here? Do I post chapter two separately? In this thread? It doesn't seem like anyone bothers reading anyway... Things get bumped around so much; I'm not used to it!

How does one get people to review their work?! Argh. Why do people review one thing and not another? I can see if they don't like it and just sort of stop reading half-way through, but can't they leave a review saying that? Anything? *sigh*

I understand that people don't have time to review everything, but this lack of response makes me sad. crying

The writing forum moves pretty slowly, but keep the story on the first page and people will read eventually.
A good way to attract more readers is to post smaller segments of the story. Potential readers are often intimidated by huge amounts of text, well that, and they are just lazy.

I'll read and post some feedback later, when I'm less sleep deprived. ^^
