The sordid wishlist fairy thread tragedy as told by SSL
Well it started off last ... July? I think it was when I stopped accepting new wishes. Once I did that less and less new people came on.
However everything was fine until about October when things started getting bad I think ramen and muffin broke up and someother people werent getting along. So people were coming on less and less then finally in about November I stopped coming on to the thead so I could work solely on finish that damn list 834 wishes took me for ever! Then when I finally finished I got it into my head that maybe I should quest for something I mean after spending close to 3 million on other people I just got fed up with it. It also didnt help that the thread was dieing.
But thinking back at that point I had no idea that the thread would die out I mean sure things were slowing down but the regs were still regs and they came on atleast to say hi.
But it was me going on the stupid quest that really slowed the place down because with no wishes none of the eleves had anything to do. There were no jobs for anyone.
Then after that they thread dried up people stoped liking the chatter box and other people were getting in fights and then some were quitting gaia all togther. It hurt, it made me want to quit I hated that people were leaving and they were dropping like flies and I was upset.
So my bright idea was to re open the thread to wishes. That was a fantastic faliure I mean only one or two regs actually came back... then alchy started becoming different... sephy stoped going on and the thread died. I mean dont you guys remember when you had a hard time keeping trak of your posts because so many people came on and the thread moved so fast?
Well I rememberd and the re-opend thead was not like that at all nope maybe ten pages a week if that. Finally I stopped it I colosed the thread. Then over the summer I started a zine in my town and i thought it would be a cool thing on gaia however that was just a huge mess from the begining.
I mean I wanted to start the thread in the disscusion thread because then all the regs who hated the chatterbox would maybe come to it. Then it got moved to the chatterbox and then I just lost so much intrest. For months all i did was come on gaia to buy letters and peek at my pms. Then one day I started to come back on join in on the fourms .
Yet I didnt fit in in any thread! So I decided I would just re-open the thread however I would wait a while before I would tell people about the thread. I just wanted to see what would happen. Then this wonderful thing happend people came people who ment a lot to me came and then some new really nice people came and things are starting to get better.
It still hurts to look at the list of elevs and I just have a few words
~ leaving gaia is a terrible thing to do to a group like we had I was wrong for shuting it down no matter what anyone says. I want everyone to know that this thread is not gaia this is a little home where no one is a noob and no one is not welcomed
~ Leaving the thread is worse because it was leaving a strong group of people and I know I was not the only one hurt by those who left.
but also I know that I would welcome anyone back... anyone
~ This thread will be open for a long time - me a person who hates bumping if that is what I have to do to keep this alive if I have to sell everything I own (except my scarf which I would wear neked and refuse to sell because it was a gift) to keep this place alive I will. I will be on every day somedays for hours some days for only tewenty minuts however i know that other people kind, great, fun people are coming into this thread and as long as we all stick around our little broken family will get better (that is so ******** cheesy but I honestly dont care) and that would make me the happiest fairy ever.

Alright now I am going to try and explain the jobs I need and why there
important to the thread<3
First job- Wish gathering
- This job is very old but also very important to the thread.
This job is what makes up the list.
The jobs open are
Head gatherer-
Helpers-
(it is up to the head gather to appoint a vice gather)
Second job-Welcoming staff (dont laugh)
- This job entails welcoming anyone into the thread. I dont always have time
to say hello to everyone who comes in. I noticed that a lot of new people
try to come into the thread and the regs ignore them (myself included) so
this job is to say hello friendly chatter to anyone who comes in. But dont
make it blantently obviouse that this is your job and thats the only reason
your saying hi.
(Confus- this is the job I thought would be good for you ^-^;;; wink
-Third job
-Peace keepers
- This job will go to the people who I think wont have any problem telling a
regular or someone eles to stop fighting and take it to the pm's.
I say this because its a thread sides are going to be picked and one person
is inveitably going to have three people yelling at one person.
Also I dont like fighting period.
Fourth job- (no name as of yet- semi like biotches)
Your job is to deter people from begging , and point out when there breaking
TOS
it is also these peoples jobs to report anyone that they feel deserves.
This however does not mean you have to be mean to get some of these things
done.
I know a million and one people come into the thread and dont read the rules
but you'll have to be fair this idot does not know that ten million other
idots have done what they just did.
(but use force if nessassary)
Fifth- Spy
People choosen for this job will not be allowed to tell other people there
job- because I want to know who started what fight and what page it happend
on and how it started. I want to know when some one is spamming the thread,
ect.
Elf job- This is for everyone
I just want to know when I am doing things wrong or if something wasnt
handled right.
I also want to hear what other people think of how we can improve the thread
and accomplish more wishes.
Also not everyone needs a specific job some will get jobs that will come up
later , or they will be working directly with me to figure out the best way
to spend the threads money.

The next posting of elevs will be friday and the last one will be on sunday after that there will be no exceptions... well except for those who are in asia(bunny hop hop).
1. I put the bumping contest on hold until Aug 1st and on Aug 1st you will find out why.
2. As soon as the new list gets put up I will not be accepting new wishes until- well thats a secret ^-^.
3.Elf Notice- Becoming/staying an elf
-1. you must in some way contribute to this thread (weekly)
2. On Aug 14 I will be naming all of the new elves and saying who stays as an elf .
3. I will be opening up some new positons and closing down some of the other ones.
4. Being an elf will no longer include being a regular, coming here often will nolonger grant you title of being elf. However that does not mean regulars will not be recognized (for I love them <3)
5. If you wish to become an elf please E-mail me your application (even if you are an elf now you must send in an application)
