Welcome to the first auction of spring! It looks like we have a special rainbow egg in.
This auction is for a Wethkin egg of the weather type Rainbow. Being rare and special, this Wethkin has no auto-buy.
The minimum starting bid is <i>5,000</i>.
The auction will run a minimum of 5 days. To prevent sniping, 25 mins will be added to the most recent bid within half an hour of the ending time (which is Friday night, May 6th, 8pm GST/PST) until there are no more bids. Sniping is bad domokun
You may bid:
- gold
- donation/sealed letters (valued at mid GCG or 4.5k for sealed envelopes)
- donation items (valued at mid GCG)
- fairy wings (valued at 30k)
- nitemare head band (valued at 56.5k)

- Stay alive. You do not have to RP every week (or at all if you don't want your Wethkin to gow very much) but please do stop by the main Wethkin thread to show you are still on Gaia! If you go on vacation please let me know so allowances can be made. If you do not stop by for a period of 2 months, I will raffle off your Wethkin for adoption.
- No guilt tripping. No one deserves a pet more that anyone else. Moping or otherwise being emotionally manipulative may result in your posts being deleted by a mod and non-accepted bids.
- Send your trade promptly. If you do win the auction, please send the trade within 48 hours (2 days) of me notifying you. If not someone else more interested ie. next highest bid may get it instead.
- No retracting bids. If you can't or shouldn't bid, then don't. You cannot retract your bid.
- If you break the rules, I do have the right to null your bid.
- Don't bid if you can't afford. Please, don't bid if you can't pay. It makes things confuzzling and everyone annoyed at you.
- Don't steal art or concepts. domokun Respect others creations. These are not free for you to take, copy/paste or alter in anyway without my persmission, art or story. If you are found stealing or altering artwork, you shall be reported to the a Moderator, Gaian Blacklist, and banned from the shop. Quoting and paraphrasing text is fine as long as you give credit to the original author. Similarities within my story to other stories, are purely coincidental and no characters are based on real people, living or dead.

Is there going to be Co-bidding?
Not unless both people plan on co-owning. No random supporters or friends donating during the auction please. You must both want to share the Wethkin equally. Since this is often hard to do, I don't recommend it. I will evaluate each case before deciding if such a pair can win the auction.
The season sprites are small creatures formed with magical energy. They embody elemental magic that is found within nature. Each one is related to a particular type, and helps change the seasons and weather in kind.
Each season, new sprites appear to carry it out over the months.
Here, you can get your very own Wethkin to join you all year long :3
Some Wethkin sprites may never reach their full adult forms without your help (light RPing). Teach and interact with your Wethkin in the nymphchild stage to encourage it to grow into a crysalis. If you are patient, it will grow until it is reborn in an adult form, possibly with some effects that result from your RPing in the child stage :3
Good and bad, Wethkins are gender neutral as they are made up of energy. Breeding is a special process in which the sprites join their magics together to form new sprites. As such, 2 to 3 sprites may chose to mate at a time. RP is required to attempt a 3 partnership :3

An Egg -stage lasts 5-10 days- :
- about the size of a gumball, the egg must be protected from predators and accidents. In this stage they are sensitive to changes in temperature and weather, therefore be sure to always keep an eye on your egg for its safety. When the weather's right your egg will hatch into the next stage :3

A Larvapuff -stage lasts 1-2 months- :
- the puff staged Wethkin is about the size of a ping-pong ball. They can emit small amounts of magic of their weather type, and most can also float or hover about (though not all can at this stage). Some may talk in short sentences, but they usually babble nonsense. Their tolerance to temperature is much better now so warmth should not adversly affect a winter Wethkin (however, fire is another subject...) X3

A Nymphchild-stage lasts 1-?? months- :
- growing up fast your puff is now a rambunctious child! In this stage they have more mastery over their weather type and can talk in quite understandable sentences. Teach your Wethkin well, as in this stage they love to learn new things and mimic you on a daily basis. They are about the height of your hand length (6"-7" wink . Some nymphs may never leave this stage and as a result can become quite the little adults in their attitudes and personality.

Why you want a Wethkin, and why do you want Rainbow in particular:
I have been wantign a Wethkin for a long time now ... I've been so intimidated to RP that I haven't participated in any of the sales that have been going on, but you should seriously see the millions of practice RP's that I have typed out and saved in my desktop under "Wethkin RP"! I really hope that this will be my chance at getting a Wethkin, and gaining the courage to role play with the other Wethkin owners. ^_^; I really love interacting with the people that commonly enter your main thread, and I would enjoy owning and taking care of my own Wethkin. I would be a great addition to the Wethkin family. ^^ Anyways, I have always had a fascination with rainbows, ever since I was a child. Even when I write notes to this day in college, I always have a ride array of colors to write in. ^_^;; Rainbows are a symbol of happiness, innocence and hope .. and I can't wait to portray those in actively role playing with my wethkin.
What type of weather for this season (spring) do/are you enjoy/interested in most and why:
I absolutely love the sun that breaks through after a lot of rain during the spring .. It just glistens upon those dewed leaves and flowers outside, it looks like the sky stopped crying and smiled just for you. Everything smells wet, yet so fresh .. and you feel the warmth of the sun upon your face. Most flower petals that started to grow upon the trees are usually found on the ground because of the harsh winds of the rain, but they look so beautiful when their color reflects from the sunlight. It's just an extremely happy and comforting experience, and it is especially wonderful because rainbows usually show their brilliance during this time. ^_^

Why you want a Wethkin, and why do you want Rainbow in particular:
Well, generally I want a Wethkin because I greatly enjoy the shop art and concept. I love the seasonal idea of it and the how creative and beautiful the art is. I also like the shop atmosphere and how there are different levels of RPers so that people can ask for help without feeling akward.
I like the Rainbow for twofold reasons.
Firstly, I've always enjoyed rainbows. When I was a kid we would very rarely get double-rainbows. There were always a big deal and the entire family would turn out of the house to see them. The fact that they always followed our horrible spring storms was a big part. I'm deathly afraid of tornadoes and rainbows were always a reassuring sign that the bad weather was over.
The second reason is that in college my roommate and I had friends who were very active in the gay rights club. We used to hold parties them on occasion and we'd try to make various rainbow things: rainbow-decorated cakes, rainbow mac and cheese, even rainbow sushi. One of my roommate's prized possesions was a big rainbow patterned blanket her mother had sent her and after the party we would sit with it in our laps and watch tv or tell ghost-stories. Rainbows still bring back that sense of connection and togetherness to me.
What type of weather for this season (spring) do/are you enjoy/interested in most and why:
I have a love/hate relationship with spring rain. I love to watch the lightning storms that we get in spring and the gentle spring rains are always a wonderful thing to curl up at the window and listen to. Rain, I think, is the big sign that winter is over and things are beginning to live again. I can stand outside and watch the rain in the distance for hours.
But I can't deal with tornado like weather. As long as there's no alert I love storms and can sit in them and watch in them with glee. But if there's hail or an alert or the town sirens start going off than I hate spring most of all. So I would say the spring rains and storms are the most interesting weather to me.

Why you want a Wethkin, and why do you want Rainbow in particular: First off I want a Wethkin cause I have been attracted to them for a while now, the art and the add ons are so cool and the Wethkin themselves are cute! This one in particular I want 1 cause its soooooo colorful. I love brightly color things, two I wrote up something for the last flatsale then did my normal thing and spaced off. LOL

The rain, mostly cause its what brings everything back to life and makes it pretty again after a long winter of nothing but grey and brown. We barely get snow where I am just a lont season of cold and ugly. Thus the rain is the best cause its what help to bring back all of the pretty colors. The sun helps too of course but I don't like it as much cause I burn and get headaches when I'm in it to long so its always funner for me to play in the rain.

Why you want a Wethkin, and why do you want Rainbow in particular: Rainbows are always very calming and mesmerizing to look at, like.. the calm after the storm. It's something to let us know that we're still alive, and that life is still enjoyable, lets us know that through all the bad, something good can come of it. I think the rainbow Wethkin could symbolize this, that no matter how bad it gets, there'll always be a rainbow to look forward to after the storm.
What type of weather for this season (spring) do/are you enjoy/interested in most and why: In the spring season, I love it when those warm spring showers lightly fall on the earth. When you can hear the gentle patter of the rain on the roof, and can go out on the porch and just listen to it and watch, or curl up with a good book while you relax to the sound of it. Or a time to curl up with those you love and just relax during this time, knowing that because of the rain soon flowers will bloom and life will "start over" so to speak.
