Each pegasus must choose his or her own path. While he choose to leave the forest and bond with a human? Will he decide to join a band of fellow pegasi and roam the wilderness? Or perhaps he'll decide to become a loner. Maybe he'll start a family with the mare of his dreams and become the lead stallion of his clan.

The Pegasus-Human Bond
Yes, humans and pegasi can live among one another in peace. Pegasi usually do not show themselves when confronted by many people, but may approach a lone human. Pegasi are lifelong friends and most will never betray their loyalties to human and pegasus alike.

The Pegasi Herd
While some pegasi choose to live their lives among human companions, many desire a natural life beside fellow pegasi. While some pegasi may be loners or live in pairs, these creatures are naturally herd animals and generally prefer to travel in groups of four to ten. Usually, family groups stay within the same herd. When foals born into the herd mature, some will choose to stay within the band while others will go their seperate ways. If their is a conflict within the herd, the lead mare/stallion may banish another pegasus from the band. This leader is also responsible for deciding which pegasi are accepted into his or her herd and which are left behind. If another pegasus wishes to challenge the leader, he or she may become the new head of the band.

Humans may also come to be accepted among herds, but this is highly unusual.

Note

Please note that I have the final say on herd interactions. Fights between pegasi and banishing herd members will NOT be on a personal level.

The golden marker shows the origin of the pegasi; it is an area between the forest and wetlands. This is where most herdless pegasi spend their days. Herds may move outward and claim their territory.

Frey couldn't hear the greeting, though he could just barely make out the presence of two others at the shore. That is, before his head goes back under the water, and all that's left of him is bubbles that rise to the surface. After a few seconds, even the bubbles stop.

Cornix looked hard at the placid lake surface searching for the young colt (( xd )) that had vanished beneath. He walked farther out into the lake, the water coming up to his chest.

Looking up at the grey sky he blinked as a light rain showered down on him. Now where did that colt go to? He wondered as he looked back down at the lake.

Just as the rain had begun to patter and disturb the water, Frey burst out far closer to Cornix than he would have expected. In fact he probably just splashed the poor thing silly. Wading up to flop on on side at the edge, the colt neighed in amusement. He then felt the drops of rain touch his coat, and lifted his head up, sticking a long tongue out to catch drops of rain in it.

Cornix whinnied in surprise as a bunch of water droplets splashed on him as the colt burst out of the water right in front of him. He watched as the colt caught the rain drops with his tongue. Feeling annoyed at first he then started to laugh at the colt's goofy personality. He walked up to the young Pegasi and introduced himself. "Hi! I'm Cornix. Whats your name?"

Frey stuck his tongue back in when he heard a voice, and he sat on his haunches rather childishly, looking up at Cornix. For a good full minute, he didn't respond, and he didn't look like he was going to respond. He just.. stared.

Whenever Cornix might blink, Frey would finally pipe up - "HA! I WIN. I so win."

He hopped up to all fours and pranced around proudly as if he was on show, legs raising up high with each step. After a moment he stopped, and gave a big grin to the colt obviously waiting for a response.

"My name's Frey."

Cornix cocked his head at Frey's hyper antics. He watched with a half amused have confused look on his face as he pranced around showing off. "It's nice to meet you Frey." He smiled and then a smirk came over his face. "So you think you won that eh? You wanna play something else?"

"Yes, I'd suppose it is rather nice to meet me." Frey mused with a sage nod, before flopping down once more, resting on the grass.

"Another game? Why I'd love to! That's exactly what I had in mind. A brilliant idea, if I do say so myself. .. Who are you again?"

His mind had wandered off in a tangent about how good of an idea he had just had, and when it returned, he looked up at the colt in mild confusion.

"For the life of me I can't recall.."

Maybe that's because Cornix had never mentioned his name, but Frey wouldn't realize that. He'd simply assume he'd forgotten.
