Selling pets since 09.08.05

First things first. This shop sells pixle pets that are not role-play required. There is a plot behind the pets because I was bored and wrote one. Perhaps in the future there will be RP events, but they are not manditory (though participants will receive rewards).

4/29/06 -- Well the Easter Event was quite fun in my opinion, and only one basket remains. It will be raffled off in Alissa & Kris' Gaia Wedding Party. Come summer the shop will be closed down, to be re-opened in August or September with the new 2.0 lineart. More on that in about a month.

Old News

03/25/06 -- There will be a free event next month between April 9'th and 17'th to celebrate Easter. Eight eggs will be given our at random as well as two baskets (redeamable for a free custom with one mutation). So be on the lookout next month!

03/10/06 -- Tomorrow Kris and I will head out south for Spring Break. So for the next ten days I will not have reliabale internet access and will be unable to do growings, FS, etc. Everything will resume on March 20'th.

02. Rules change, it's a fact of life.

03. No stealing please. It makes Chibi cry... This applies to things like editing your pet without permission and claiming any art as your own.

04. The following are not allowed in the Thread:
- "Flaming" or otherwise insulting a crew member, an owner, or a potential customer.
- Begging for pets. This includes asking for "deals" or "price breaks".
- Advertising of your shop (or anyone elses for that matter), unless given permision by Llaerihn or ChibiPoet.

05. Hot-linking is allowed for the first three stages of your Llaerihn. After they become an adult you have about a week to save it to your own server.

06. If you have a question, be sure to read the post that pertains to it. If you PM either account with a question answered in the Thread, the first time you will be answered. The second time you will be ignored. The third time you will be Gray-Listed. Etc.

We are fortunate that the events leading up to the race of Llaerihn did not take place in Gaia. They did not take place on earth, or even our solar system. Indeed, these events took place in an entirely different dimension where a race known as the Llaer exerted control over all other lowly races within their realm.

The Llear grew powerful, too powerful in fact. Their wars destroied entire planets and caused great cosmic shifts within their dimension. They soon brought destruction to their entire way of life. Broken beyond repair, five Llaer risked everything to leave their home and existed for an unknown period in The Place Between Dimensions.

These five suffered much there. Their powers became as nothing. They could only look in on other worlds and other lives as they drifted, aimlessly. Perhaps in some unknown time another race did just as the Laer did for one moment these five had lost all hope and in the next there was such a terrible surge of power within this Between place that it broke open the dimension we reside in. We are fortunate that only these nearly powerless Laer got through that hole, for many other more deadly things reside in The Place Between Dimensions.

The five were now revived. They did not have their old bodies, they were much smaller and less human-looking (for their ormer bodies had been much like ours). They soon discovered that they were in no way the dominant force in this dmension, but they had plans. They had hopes.

With what they thought was their remaining power they made seven others like themselves, the Llaerihn they called them. These seven, two female and five males, were their hope. With these they would make a new race that would become so numerous as to take controle simply by the force of their numbers.

The seven did as The Five commanded them to. They multiplied. They traveled far and wide. They were always on the lookout for power. But the children of the seven, and their children as well, grew distant from The Five and began to make their own lives. No longer did they always report back to The Five. They did not tell them that slowly power had been comming back into their blood. That they could instantly move from wherever they were to a place they had once been. That they could exert controle over simply minded bugs and creatures. They kept this to themselves...

The Five, seeing their controle wane, left for a time. Few know what they did or what some of them are still doing. Only to return is one of The Five who has set himself up as a diety over the Llaerihn. For he can do wondrous things the others cannot. He can summon water, mold it to do his bidding. He can controle water creatures far better than any Llaerihn can controle even the mindless gnats. He is Royal Evening.

Though he does not say where the others of The Five are, he has similarly set them within his own hierarchy of gods. They are Crimson Night, Jade Noon, Ebony Morning, and Golden Dawn. He has placed himself at the head with the other four arrayed about him. Some do not question this, but there are others who wonder about why the other four are missing...

As soon as I find someone willing to do a pixle map, then there will be a map. Until then my description will have to do.

Role-playing in this thread takes place at M'tah'j H'r Laalir'h. (That's Laerini for "Grove of Earth" or "The Earthen Grove" as we Gaians call it.) This is where Royal Evening has made his appearance. During a special RP event (if there are any) then a different place might be specified.

To a Llaerihn, M'tah'j is a sprawling city that, unless one teleports, could take two days to cross. To a Gaian, The Grove is a three mile walk. It is in the midst of a forrest that bumps right up against a cliff-face. To the west there is a terribly tall (for a Llaerihn) flat wall of dull orange rock with green flowing a bit over the top. To the north and east there is nothing but thick trees and bushes. To the south the trees aren't as thick and there's a mighty river (or actually a little stream to us Gaians) only a few Gaian-paces into the thinner trees. Near the center of this oval-shaped grove there is a rock about three Llaerihn high and it is where Royal Evening comes to speak to the Llaerihn and sometimes settle disputes. There is a whole blanket of flowers along the northern end of The Grove and this is the most common place for a female to leave her eggs.

These are listed in order of occurance.

Flatsale - Flatsales are for ordinary Llaerihn. They will cost 500g.

Breeding - When two Llaerihn breed their eggs will be flatsold. The parents get first pick for 300g, one per Gaia account.

Auction - Llaerihn that are very different (lineart edits, rare colors, etc.) then they will be auctioned. Starting bid will usually be 500g with 10g increments.

Raffle - Llaerihn that are made to showcase something new about the shop (petpets, wearable items, etc.) will be raffled.

Customs - Customs now come in three stages. Cheap, Normal, and Special.

Cheap Custom

Fill out the following form for a Cheap Custom. These are one-shade-only Llearihn, meaning no patterns on the wings or body. These cost 200g. If you want a specific color, either use Hex code or include a sample in the form.

Egg
A Llaerihn is in the Egg stage for a varying amount of time. The colors and patterns on an egg often (but not always) are similar to the Wyrm which will hatch from it. Time range: 3 to 5 days, the Gaia randomizer determines the exact number.

Wyrm
A Llaerihn is in Wyrm stage for at least 10 days, the time may extend if life is hectic and Poet doesn't have time to do growings. Wyrms are very curious about their surroundings and are prone to getting into "sticky" situations. When they first hatch these young Llaerihn move like slow snakes. As they age they are able to hold their upper body unright and slither quite fast.

Cocoon
A Llaerihn will be in cocoon stage for 4 to 8 days, the Gaia randomizer decides the exact number. For a small fee this stage can be shortened to exactly 4 days. A Wyrm will find a suitable tree or bush to attach to. Unlike earthen butterflies, Llaerihn draw out part of the tree using an old magic that is only used for this process. When they leave this woody cocoon they leave behind a part of the shell which will forever dangle from the tree.

Llaerihn
This is the adult and final stage of your Llaerihn (except in special RP cases). Some Llaerihn are still like children, others may be extreemly aloof and "mature" while others still may be wild and seek the attention of others. At this stage a Llaerihn can, of cource, fly. They can also teleport instantly to any place they have been to before. Few have tried teleportations to unknown places... the results were not pretty.

So you want to make some eggs. Simple post the following information whenever there are breeding slots open.

Breeding is free. Llaerihn females produce anywhere between 2 and 5 eggs. Once the eggs are posted the owner for the male and female get to pick one egg each for a discount of 300g. (If the owner for the male and female is the same Gaian, they may only pick one egg.) The rest will be sold in the next flat sale.

..genetics..

Certain traits can be passed down from generation to generation. If you have genetics from the begining of Llaerihn, they are no longer valid. Genetics will be fully released in March, at that time you can ask to know what the genetics are of your Llaerihn (and I might add the information to the owners list... I haven't decided yet).

Note: Wing and body coloration are general aspects. Meaning a Llaerihn with the genetics code for rainbow doesn't mean he has every color in existance. It may mean he has red and blue and orange in nearly equal amounts. Also, the eek emote means that the genetics have not been revealed yet.
