Welcome to Gaia! ::

History
When humans became numerous and powerful, chaos arose... in the shape of light. They believed the world would be much better without the elements of Death, Darkness, Destruction, and so on. Though none of the Gods are truly evil, nor truly good, people belived otherwise, and trapped all Gods and Goddesses under Destruction in crystals. Because the world could not surivive without a balance of the negative and positive energies, Destruction broke free and had helped others escape as well. Once the dieties had freed themselves, they turned on the humans, and soon each other. Complications turned the sides against each other, "Good" remaining in the Heaven Sanctuary, casting the "Evil" into the Abyss.

Now it is five years later. The humans technology has been obliterated, but at the same time the connection between heaven and earth was lost, and the gods could no longer walk the mortal realms. So to do their bidding, they created Avatars on earth, temporary manifestations of their entities. The Avatars may appear in many forms, humans demons, and many other species on the world of Sohrn. The inhabitants of Sohrn are aware of these entities wandering their earth, and may worship, or in some cases kill them. Now the humans begin to rebuild their cities with ancient technology, having no where else to turn. The Gods are now at war with eachother, utilizing these Avatars.

    Full name: Aevar Mani

    Appearance: Appears a youthful elf, his hair is a raven black, like many elves, and flows down to his shoulders. His eyes are like fire, red and orange, alive and chaotic. About 5'8", and 114 pounds. He wears a black cloak, red on the inside. He wears a shoulder plate on his right shoulder that shows a red gem against the black steel. Long dark feathers emerge from the plate, pointing toward the sky. He wears the skull of a demon on his waist, just as the God of Fire does. Under the cloak he wears black steel breast plate, fassioned specifically for him.

    Race: Avatar (Appears elvish)

    Element: Fire

    Personality Traits: Although dark, he is kind to most, and rarely annoyed with people or angry. He is very tranquil.

    History: He always knew he was different, and he always knew he needed to keep it to himself. He was never alone, because there was always a voice in his head that wasn't his. It was the God of Fire, Bizarre, and Aevar knew that he was a manifestation of this diety. He hid this fact away, untill one day it showed itself. Society cast him aside as his own parents turned their backs. Since he has wandered, Bizarre his only guide.

    Miscellaneous: It is said this Avatar gets his abilities through the demon skull on his armor, but that has not been proven.

    Character strengths: Agile, accurate, calm and collected, aware and open minded.

    Flaws: Lack of power, too trusting, appears too secretive.

    Equipment: Cataclysm: A double edged longsword, the color of onyx, except for a blood red ruby embedded within the hilt. Holds the power to immolate. He also has black steel armor that offers better mobility than most armor.

    Roleplay Sample: "You cannot stay, Aevar! The power's of destruction are inside of you!" Aevar looked off into the distance, smiling. The Elder rambled on. "When the God's return you will have us all in jeopardy!" Aevar closed his eyes. This was it, he knew this moment would have to come sooner or later. After all, the Avatar of Fire could not remain here. Bizarre needed him to do things... to make all the realms safer. Sure, he was a puppet, but it was for the greater good. He chuckled a little at that. Although everyone saw the element of Fire as destructive, and therefore evil he was apparently on the evil side. No matter. Let them believe we are the bad guys. It doesn't matter. "Aevar?!" The Elder looked at the young Avatar. Aevar broke out of this thought, "Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't listening."

    Full name: Lonru Krau (pronunciation: LAWN ROO KRAU)

    Appearance: Has cyan hair down to his waist. Golden eyes. Stands at 5'3". His weight is unknown. He looks about the human age of 14. He wears midnight black armor with human skulls decorating the plating. His lower armor consists of the same black metal but has red runes inscribed into it which seem to move around slowly. His left shoulder plate has 3 red spikes coming off of it and his right is a demon skull. The gauntlets have the same red runes as the lower armor and have 5 inch claws extending from the fingertips.

    Race: Avatar (looks human)

    Element: Destruction

    Personality Traits: Loves to fight but knows when to accept defeat.

    History: Grew up as an outcast and preyed upon by the bullies. His hair is a symbol of his status as the Avatar of Destruction. He tried to ignore the snide comments thrown his way until he could stand up for himself. As his powers grew, he was pushed even more out of society. Only two people ever cared for him but they met questionable deaths.

    Miscellaneous: Can go into a sort of berserk.

    Character strengths: More adept at his powers than most other Avatars.

    Flaws: Inability to control his anger.

    Equipment: Destruction Armor

    Roleplay Sample: Lutherius felt his stomach twist and shrink as he screamed out in agony. But as he screamed, no sound came from his mouth. No sound could be heard anywhere. Everything was pitch black. He had tried occasionally to make anything nearby be surrounded by farie fire, but there was never anything around to catch. Again his stomach twisted causing excrutiating pain that nearly made him pass out. He had been going through this for a long time already. On several occasions his stomach had felt like it was turned to a marble and then expanded out like a balloon. This would always have the effect of making him lose conciousness. Fortunately, the most recent ones had not been so severe and he was beginning to understand the technique he was to learn from this. Just as the thought enters his mind though, the marble sized stomach and the expansion of it forces his mind into the same black emptiness of activity that he was surrounded by.

Aevar had been walking for hours, but he did not fatigue. The sun was high, and the wind was cool. It was a beautiful day, and the elf appreciated the beauty.

"Bizarre, how far away is this temple you spoke of?" Aevar asked with his eyes closed and his spirit content with the traveling.

"It is not far, you must be patient."

"Ah, patience is the thing that I have infinate supply of," Aevar said with a smile and a sigh.

"Yes, it is quite annoying."

"Then get out of my head."

"You know as well as I do our connection cannot be broken. You are the Avatar, and I am the Diety."

"Your too serious," Aevar replied, opening his eyes to the sunlight. He was surrounded by vast hills, with scattered trees and what looked to be a forest in the distance. "Is this a long journey?"

"It is just beyond the trees up ahead, it will not take long."

"That's too bad," said Aevar. "I was enjoying this walk."
</center>
<center>Lonru arched his back as he sat up yawning. The metal of his armor made no noise as it rubbed together.

"This is sooo boring. Why did you say I had to come this way? I wanna fight someone! No one would ever come out here!" Lonru said at the same time as his yawn.

"Don't concern yourself with why. All you need to know is that you will be greatly rewarded for this small detour."

"Still, you could have at least made sure this detour would be when others were here. I mean when I was just scouting I saw some tracks from what looked to be a raiding party. Sure they looked a few weeks old but still-" Lonru nearly whined.

"LOOK! If I had led you here earlier you would have missed the opportunity that walks your way as we speak..."

"Opportunity?! You mean I get to fight someone worth my time?! alright. I can't wait. Im gonna go meet him before he gets here. Which way is he coming from?"

"I wont say. You need to learn to be patient. At least once in a while."

"Hmph." Lonru folded his arms quickly to his chest and jumped up from where he was sitting. "Fine. But I hope this person really is worth it."
<center>
Aevar walked in silence for a long time, untill he drew near the forest. "Do not be alarmed," Bizarre said. "But there is an Avatar up ahead. Approach with caution."

Aevar thought not a word back, but he did go low into a crouch as he went into the forest cover. His face was serious, and his footsteps silent. He kept his hand on Cataclysm's hilt, ready to draw the dark blade. He wondered whether or not it was an Avatar of Creation, or an Avatar of Destruction, but he could not ask Bizarre right now, for some unknown reason. He couldn't lose concentration.

The thick forest wall let out into a grassy clearing, where the Temple of Fire stood. Great stone pillars held up the temple, and statues of Bizarre stood by the great wooden doors. Aevar crept up to the door, which was already opened ajar. His gaze drifted inside, scanning about for any form of life. He felt that there was something inside this temple.
<center>Lonru needed no prompting to engage the target. He could feel that this one was much stronger than anyone he had yet fought. A good surprise attack should make this fight easier... Normally Lonru would directly engage the enemy but he didn't want to take any chances. After all Avec had guided him to this fight so it must be important.

He threw an orb the size of a marble at the door which acted as a hand grenade with shrapnel flying everywhere as soon as it made contact with the door. Immediately after this he bounded off the wall he had clung to and lunged for Aevar's knees. "Lets play!
<center> Everything was a blur in all the confusion, but Aevar managed. The sound of his attacker alerted him of his opponents offensive move, but left little time for a dodge. Aevar lept into the air, bringing his feet in front of him and over his head into a backflip. He heard his attacker land below, most probably barely missing the elf. Aevar completed the backflip and landed gracefully in a crouch, his sword now drawn.

Now where did that Avatar go? Aevar's eyes darted to the right, noticing a light. It was coming from a torch - how appropriate. He brought his free hand out in the direction of the torch, and the flame directed intself to his hand. "Fire manipulation..." he explained to his unseen foe. His immolated hand touched the blade of his sword, setting the thing ablaze.
<center>Lonru crashed into the ground with a thud. He had only partially expected a dodge. He had not expected a backflip. Quickly getting to his feet he turned around to see Aevar make his sword go on fire. "Thanks for the idea!" Lonru said joyfully.

Moving into a catlike crouch he jumped into a nearby tree and started throwing acorns at Aevar's head. "Here... you look hungry... he stops after all the branches around him are bare of the nuts.

He prized his programs.... 60% of all the programs on his computer was made by him. Right now that didn?t matter... he just booted up The World, loaded up his beauty, checked his mail, and began to play.)
<center> Aevar looked for a moment in amazement at his opponent. He appeared to be a child, and was, indeed, throwing acorns at him. Acorns. He ducked his head as an acorn flew past him. He spun as another came close to his body. It seemed harmless, until sudden explosions sounded off behind him. He turned to look as he saw an acorn errupt into an explosion of destructive energy. The game just got a little more interesting. He side stepped out of the way of another acorn, and saw more coming at him still.

"That's enough of that," Aevar announced as he sprang for the tree, sword slashing up. Sparks shot out as the firey blade tore through the tree, causing it to errupt in flames. As the flaming tree began to fall, Aevar lept up onto it, not too far from Lonru, using the burning branches as platforms to ultimately leap onto the temple roof. Immediately as he landed, he pulled the fire from another torch and let it dance in his hand momentarilly, waiting to see Lonru emerge from the black smoke the flaming tree was emitting.
((Hey Bizaare, I sent you the PM. Dunno if you got it or not since all my messages aren't showing up as I got a new one but they do when I physically check them. So check your mail if you got a sec))
As Hackman opened his eyes he found himself in the middle of a lush forest. "Now I can't see anything." Hackman observed, touching a tree and watching it turn black and shrivel up, as if it aged a thousand years in 2 seconds. He extended his finger tips and a veil of darkness completely engulfed the area that he was in and killed all the trees inside, leaving a bunch of dead logs laying all around him. Getting an idea, he started building something out of the logs.
