I stress that this is going to be a literate Bleach roleplay. Our goal is an intelligent roleplay that has a solid flow of logic in it.
The RPG will start out before the Soul Society arc (chapter 50/episode 14) since most everyone has read/watched up to or beyond that point. This means that no Shikai or Bankai have appeared, nor has anyone from Soul Society. Members are free play with the storyline from there, and may even throw in later plot developments if they are brought in logically. This does not mean, however, that Ichigo can spontaneously do BanKai from the beginning. Any future abilities characters learn throughout the series will still need to be learned through the duration of the RPG. While it's not required to know the current happenings in the manga, it would be preferred.
While we are not starting with the Soul Society arc, it is not impossible for us to go into it. The problem, though, lies within the number of characters needed to successfully roleplay that arc out. There's just an assload of them. If we can get majority of the captains and vice-captains, then we can do the arc. Sorry, but just Byakuya and Renji doesn't cut it. (But doing (logical) randomness with them in the mortal realm might work...) Current members will probably need to take on some of them (even temporarily) in order for everyone to get filled.
Both canon and original characters are welcome, though we might limit OCs if they start overflowing too soon. Players can have up to 3 characters each. Anymore, and you'll have to ask. Though, we do expect original characters to be well-thought-out, plausible, and preferably creative.
Speaking of OCs... we are going to have a limit of eight characters who start out with knowing how to tap into/control their powers. The rest will have to have their powers develop over the course of the RPG. As for those eight characters, during the Hollow attack while Ichigo and Ishida were having their 'contest', the hollows more or less chased all of the stronger spiritual-power-possessing people into one area, thinking "Pot Luck Feast!" In actuality, once the group was cornered, they were able to defend themselves. Before this time none of them knew each other, and it is up to the player of these characters to decide if their character wishes to stay in touch with the others.
