Hello there, my name is Ebony. Welcome to the Sugar Fairies Shop ! Although I don't sell the Fairies directly, I can teach how to catch one and will provide you the necessary items you need in order to do so.

But first at all, let me introduce you to the Sugar Fairies, because you probably wonder what are these. Sugar Fairies are tiny beings that live in the nature. You usually can't see them because they made themselves invisible. They generally avoid humans because they are afraid of them, yet they sometimes sneak into houses to steal their all time favorite food, sugar. But they take so small quantities that we never notice it anyway. Sugar Fairies have two shapes. The first one is called Lumen and this is the shape used by the Fairies most of time, as they can travel very fast and made themselves invisible with it. The second one is the actual fairy form. For this one, the appearence of Sugar Fairies is linked to their taste, they wear clothes and accessories that recall their favorite food. If a Fairy's favorite meal is cherries, well you can expect her to have cherry-shaped earrings and wear a red dress for instance. Pure sugar doesn't exist in nature, so they feed themselves with foods that contain it such as fruits, honey, nectar, and the like. Here is an exemple of one that I managed to catch, a strawberry Sugar Fairy (the Lumen look all alike by the way). Isn't she so cute ?^o^

What you need to do to catch a Sugar Fairy is pretty simple. All you have to get is a mere sugar cube. Well not exactly... you need a sugar cube and something I won't tell you about because I'm selling my services. Yep, business is business XD I'll take a sugar cube and I will turn it into a special sugar cube. You also have to bring a fruit for this. Or anything provided it contains sugar. Even chocolate might work, you never know. Some vegetables and flowers should work too. Also, I've got some special items, which make possible to attract rare Fairies, but we'll talk about that later.

Interested in getting a Sugar Fairy ? ^^ Check out the counter for FCSCs (Fairy-Catcher Sugar Cube), these are special sugar cubes that will allow you to attract them.

Here is the part of the shop where I'm displaying various items such rare items for FCSCs, premade FCSCs, and from time to time totally random things that are not always linked to the Sugar Fairies...

So if you followed me so far, you know that they are common and uncommon Sugar Fairies. Rare Fairies also exist, all Lumen are potentially rare Fairies which means that any Fairy may change her appearance if she taste something new and became fond of it. Rare Sugar Fairies have usually two attributes, one that is common or uncommon, and another which is impossible to get with irl items. Actually these are a sort of 'evolved' Fairies and can be caught only by using a special item. I brought some from my travel in others worlds and I'm selling them here, so feel free to look around.

Normal flavours are free, as you bring me the item for the making of the FCSC. However, if you want a rare item, first at all you need a sugar slot of course, but you also need to add 10k. Rare Fairies are pricey but usually have a more complex design.

The items above have been already sold (full display/descriptions can be found on p2)

From time to time, premade FCSCs are displayed on the counter as well. Prices may vary, depending on the fact that the item is common or uncommon, but also depending on the fact that if the ingredient used to create it is expensive or not.

To purchase a premade FCSC, post in this thread saying which one you'd like to buy, then send the trade. I take any items listed in the breeding spot as part of the payment by the way.

Note : These premades are Non-RP. You will get the fairies when trade is confirmed. Certs will be posted in the thread and you'll be able to name them then.

Post in the thread which FCSC you want and send the trade ~ thanks!

These will usually be sold when the fancy takes me...

Sugar Fairies breed during Full Moon Dances (called FMDs for short). They will be held at the shop, in the garden and I'll set up a thread at the guild for those who wants to RP as well ^^

Sugar Fairies can breed but since they are spirits and not animals, the process is totally different. They do a mystic danse during which they use their Lumen form to merger and once they split, new Lumen are created. This event is very energy consuming for them, therefore Sugar Fairies can breed only up to three times (except for rare Fairies who can breed up to five times) and only once a while, during full moon nights. Something even more particular, they can be breed by couple or by group of several Fairies ! The number of Lumen created in this way is quite variable. But I must tell you something, the Lumen won't stay with you ^^; So what is the point of making your Fairy breed ? It will allow others to get a 'flat sale' sugar slot. You may buy one for yourself as well, and you have the priority in this case. And this time catching a Fairy will be much easier for uncommon ones. New born Sugar Fairies have greater chance to like your FCSC as they don't have much experience.

You have three options to RP to catch a Fairy, the first one is to put the FCSC in your own house/garden and the second one is to leave it near the shop.

The second option will give you the possibility to catch uncommon Fairies with candy/cake/etc attributes and any kind of flower Fairies, which is most of time impossible with the first type of RP (logically the Full Moon Dance happens in my garden, so new Lumen will stay around, and you can't really expect them to travel to your home...).

BUT in order to do so, you will have to challenge the Goddess of the Spring first. She is the friend of the Fairies living here, and will let you catch a Fairy only if she thinks that you will be a dedicated owner.

Third is usually the default RP option when Ebony is too busy for RP. Read on for more details ~

Option 1 : Catch a Fairy at home

I'd like you to give me some information (it can be done through RP if you wish) :

- Where is your house ? (not the name of the place, I mean if it's a small town, a big city, a farm, near the sea, in the mountains, etc)
- Apart from you who live in the house ?
- Do you have any pets ? (normal ones like cats, dogs, etc or imaginary ones like dragons are ok, not Gaian pets I don't want to godmod with them of course)

These have not to be irl information of course, you can tell me you're living alone in the forest in a gingerbread house, it's totally fine XD

Also some guidelines when you RP for the FCSC :

- Once I've made it and gave it to you, you have to put it somewhere in your house
- Place your FCSC near an opening, for instance on the table near the open window of your living room or the mousehole in your kitchen. You can put it in the garden as well if you have one. Use you imagination ^^

Option 2 : Challenge Aqualea, the Goddess of the Spring

First at all you need to RP and put the FCSC somewhere here :

Then your first quest will be to find the Goddess, she is in the spring of course but you will need to make her appear.

Clue 1 : The Goddess is in water but she is also on 'Earth'
Clue 2 : Once you find her, you have 'read' something for extra clues

Important : Don't simply go near the spring and wait there, you have to do some action, otherwise nothing will happen.

Once this part is done, you will have to solve her riddles or to complete the quests she'll be giving you. There are different kind of quests and you must RP them in order to clear them (please note that they are not listed in order and you may have other sort of quests as well) :

arrow Solve the Riddle ~ just like the title says

arrow Find the Item Quest ~ Sometimes you have to do the Solve the Riddle game before knowing which item you have to find. The item is always hidden near the shop (ie in the thread) and you'll have to use the location given to RP.

arrow Poems ~ You will have to fill missing words or write one yourself with the words the Goddess give you.

arrow Tell me a Tale ~ The Goddess will give you a theme or a title and you'll have to find the story or invent it.

I know there are sometimes easy ways to complete these, but try to play fair ok ? Otherwise there's not much pupose to play these games. Also you can summon the Goddess only once a day. And don't forget to keep an eye on your FCSC status.

Option 3 : Free style !

Please note that sugar slots for this option are not a real substitute for Option 1 or Option 2 if you are actually interested in the RP interactions/surprises, so this is maybe not for you... (of course you still have the possibility to RP Fairies outside the shop, but I guess it's not same).

It's mainly reserved for those who are familiar with how the RP works in the thread : players who wish to get another Fairy without doing much RP or on the opposite, people who are feeling quite imaginative and would like to try something different. And special cases when neither of the first two RP options fits, such as the case of Mutant Fairies, for instance.

I just keep the right to ask you to edit any parts that wouldn't fit the SF concept, if I see them.

Basically with this option, you'll be playing all the steps as a whole. You can do it in one post or several if prefered, but I won't be changing your FCSC status.

What you need to include at least :
- A introduction part ~ how you discovered the shop (for people who never came there), coming to the shop and getting a FCSC
- Getting a plate and finding a spot for the FCSC (at your place or near the shop)
- Catching the Fairy ~ strange phenomenons happening (as much as you want but at least a few), the apparition of a Lumen, befriending with it

Just stop when the Lumen is about to change its form, I'll take care of that part of course smile

You can play this option with any form or style you want, the usual way, as the entries of a log, as a story/tale, as a play, as a poem or song lyrics, etc. Anything you can think of. There's no word limit either, you can do it as short or as long as you want (avoid sagas though lol).

And please, even though there's no necessity for coming to the thread regularily and therefore there won't be a RP limit for this option, try to complete all your RP within 1-2 weeks, or if you need more time because you are actually working on something long or elaborated, let me know about it.

Hygiene and Beauty ~

Sugar Fairies are very clean. They hate mud, dust and garbage. Having a fountain or a water spot like a well or a pond near you house would be a good idea, as they love to wash themselves often and play with water. They also love anything as long as it is clean, cosy, pretty or natural.

Language ~

Sugar Fairies use telepathy to communicate with other Sugar Fairies and magical creatures. They can also talk to other animals an go well with them, with some exceptions like small carnivores (weasels, etc) and birds of prey. They can also use human languages, however they don't master it very well and make some mistakes. They usually have the same amount of vocabulary than 5 to 7 year-old children and speak with simples, shorts sentences. However when living with a human, they can learn more of course. Yet they often don't understand abstract things. If you tell them that it is raining cats and dogs, they will go and look outside if such a wonder is possible. But if you explain to them what it means, they'll understand. Still they will find it very funny and you can expect them to sing "it's raining cats and dogs" the rest of the day. They love long and/or complicated words or phrases and like to repeat them whenever they can. There's things they will never understand though, like politics or maths, they'll just look at you with their big eyes wondering what you are talking about.

Sugar Fairies have a soft, musical voice. They love to sing and to giggle a lot as well. They may be quite shy at the beginning but once they'll know you, they can turn into regular chatterboxes (it can depend of course, each Fairy as her own personnality).

Rare Fairies ~

The Fairies that will evolve into a Rare Sugar Fairy are usually from types that are already 'rare' in the nature such as Vegetable or Candy/Sweet Food Fairies. The reason for this is that the latter are the ones that are usually temerarious and sometimes even cheeky (the average Sugar Fairy is quite shy and discreet). Rare Fairies make natural leaders. The fact that the Regal Pea Fairy didn't hesitated to fight against moths or that the Chocopup Fairy had taken a much shyer sister under her wing are good examples.
Therefore Rare Fairies can be friends but if living together, they may not go along that well and this is especially the case if their rare attributes are conflictual by nature, a Fairy with a bird attribute and another with a bug attribute won't make good friends for instance.

Note : Please don't PM me asking for to work here here, I am not hiring, or to ask me to work for you. Maybe as guest artist/colorist (if I have time and I'm interested) but certainly not as full-time artist or to draw linearts and the like.

Q : How can I get a Sugar Fairy ?
A : When a sugar slot is available, usually after a Full Moon Dance. I will also do pet/art trades (but I'll be picky).

Q : I'm confused, how much do a sugar slot cost ?
A : The normal price is 50k (Full Moon slot OR Moonday slot OR Cooking Raffle slot). Premades have their own prices stated in the counter section, they are usually around 25k. Also anyone buying a second sugar slot can have it for 35k instead of 50k, it's a special discount for your first breeding. Watch out for mini games too, you can sometimes win discount coupons and they can be used for any type of slots.

Q : Are Sugar Fairies only female ?
A : They certainly have a female appearance, however they are actually genderless spirits and don't breed the way humans and other animals do.

Q : Can I PM you ?
A : Yup, but unless you need a private/personnalized answer, I prefer if you post in the thread.

Q : Is there a limit to the amount of Sugar Fairies I can own ?
A : Not really. The more I'm free, the more I offer sugar slots (but I'm rather busy so don't expect a lot of them to be available). You can have as many common or uncommon Fairies but you may own only one Rare Sugar Fairy though.

Q : I've got a sugar slot and I'd like a strawberry FCSC, is it ok ?
A : I'm afraid I won't take any flavour that was previously successfully used by an owner to catch Fairy. They are so many flavour possibilities, and variety is more fun, right ? Rare flavours don't count however. Let's take the example of Apricats, although they are obviously linked to apricots if no Apricot Fairy was already caught, then you may request for a apricot-flavoured FCSC.

Q : Can I give you [insert weird item name] to make the FCSC ?
A : Even if you have a great item to propose, I guess no. I'm not taking anything from you that doesn't exist irl. All my rare items have been tested by me and I know that they are totally hazard-proof for Sugar Fairies.

Q : How do I know if my FCSC is working or not ?

A : Changes will appear under your RP text that will be displayed in the Owners Corner. Therefore you have to come and check in this very thread.

Q : How long does it take to catch a Fairy ?
A : It depends on the type of Fairy (common/uncommon/rare) and your RP participation. Anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks I guess. I'll try to update as soon as I can, but I don't have Internet and I connect from a computer room, so it may take a while (but usually I connect every other day at least).

A : All of them are semi custom, except for premades. But I do not guaranty that you will have the first flavour you asked for (unless it's a rare item).

Q : Can I buy a slot for a friend ?
A : I'd rather not, I had issues in the past with this. I'm willing to do exceptions though, especially towards regular visitors of the thread, but you'll have to check that with me first.

During the shop opening auction, starting from page 11.

ninja What happened :
- Emi baked cupcakes
- Caroline_cupcake caught a Fairy with a FCC (Fairy Catcher Cupcake)

Cupcake recipe (picture by caroline_cupcake) :

Preparation Time: 15 minutes / Baking Time: 20 minutes / Yield: 24 cupcakes

Ingredients :
- 2 cups counter flour
- 2 tsps. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup soft margarine
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 medium egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. lemon rind

1. Grease and flour just the bottoms of cupcake tins, or buy packaged paper liners for cupcake tins.
2. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
3. Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in egg.
4. Fold in flour and milk alternately beginning and ending with flour.
5. Add vanilla extract and grated rind before last addition of flour.
6. Fill cupcake tins half full and bake at 190�C (375 F) or until skewer inserted comes clean.

Past the darkened store of sweets,
You make your way for Tricks and Treats,
Through the darkness of the night,
On candle lit path to fear and fright,
The apples from the trees grow ripe,
But something seems not quite right.

Into the festivities your wander,
Near the food you look and ponder
Over delectable worm covered stew
Roasted baby, and other delicacies too.
Like Cat Tails in a puss-y dipping sauce,
Goes great with Gremlins and a side of moss.

Rabid bat flayed on a spit,
A werewolf laid with its hairy throat slit,
Red Wine bubbles but there is no wine,
You no longer have any desire to dine.
Sugar drenched treats with arsenic laced icing,
A cake with a thousand towers of menacing.

Fluttering flat cakes with wings still attached,
Eyeballs and tongues from knights wrongly snatched,
A smell of wonders comes across you lips,
The sound of a butcher knife across blood slips,
You realize the delicious smell is something else dying
If you said that you weren�t scared you�d be lying.

The Sugar Fairies gather round in great delight
But you must beware on this hallowed night
For while each sugared fairy may not cause you fright.
For each little fairy is not quite,

Seems
They trick you into to thinking them a pretty sweet
They trick you so well you think it a treat
You�ll follow them into the dark maze thinking it was light
When all they want of you is one little bite.

I'll take these but with moderation. If you are a talented artist and are ok to do OC art, I'm even more interested.

Please note that I have the right to turn down offers. Don't be offended, it's nothing against your pet/art, I just might be too busy to do an extra Sugar Fairy or the pet you want to trade is not really my type. Also I'm unlikely to take pets that requires mandatory RP (unless listed) and pets that need to be care of (i.e. that will die if I don't feed it and so on or won't evolve etc). I just don't have enough time for these.
