This is Bullseye. He's the resident mascot of this thread (besides Roxy and her brother Rico, that is). He's very protective of this shop, but also very friendy. He's also got quite a few brothers and sisters who like to pop up every now and again.

Q: So, what is this shop all about?
A: Cute Canadian-based pets, of course!

Q: Why the name Clearly Canadian?
A: Because Roxy likes alliteration.

Q: But isn't that, like, the name of some drink?
A: Yes, yes it is.

Q: These are so cute, may I have one?
A: If there is a flatsale, raffle, auction or custom slot opening going on then yes, as long as you abide by those rules. If not, please wait until the next batch is released. I hope to make enough of these guys to have a pretty steady stream.

Q: So how often will there be a flatsale/auction/raffle/etc.?
A: Depending on how business goes, as frequently as several times a month.

Q: So I won a flatsale/auction/raffle/etc but I don't have the gold to cover it. I do however, have *insert item(s) name(s) here*.
A: I do accept items. Pretty much any donation item or letter I'll accept, as well as select uncommons, event items and store items (ducky hat, GCorp items, fairy wings, kimonos, fox items, most pimp items, dragon gowns, etc). If you're not sure, send me a pm and i'll let you know. I value donation letters/items, event items and uncommons/rares by the marketplace, and store items at 80-100% of store price depending on the item.

~ Each flatsale will be announced at least three days in advance, and will take place in PST (Pacific Standard Time, aka Gaia Time). Previews will be up at least a day in advance.

~ Unless specified otherwise, everyone may participate in flatsales. There will be special newbie flatsales but otherwise everyone is welcome!

~ Only one bottle per person per flatsale. That means you may either try for yourself or someone else, not both.

~ Each flatsale pet will be 1k.

~ If you cannot attend a flatsale you may have someone proxy for you as long as both you and your proxy let me know in advance.

~ Flatsale pets may not be co-owned.



~ Each auction will be announced at least three days in advance, and previews will be up at least two days in advance.

~ Each auction will have a starting price of 1k (flatsale price) and will generally not have an autobuy (thus making it an overpriced flatsale). The one exception is if I am questing or helping someone else on a quest.

~ Unless specified otherwise, everyone may participate in auctions.

~ If there is an auction series, then you may only win two of the pets from the series. However, if you already own two pets from the same series you may win one more and give the pet to someone else.

~ Unless specified otherwise, auctions will run for exactly three days.

~ All auctions will be anti-snipe. That means that you must at least show interest before the last 4 hours (in other words, post at least once in the auction thread), and any bids placed within the last 5 minutes of an auction will extend the auction length by 15 minutes.

~ If you cannot attend an auction you may have someone proxy for you as long as both you and your proxy let me know in advance.

~ You may co-own but with only one other person.



~ Each raffle will be announced at least three days in advance, and previews will be up at least two days in advance.

~ Unless specified otherwise, everyone may participate in raffles.

~ If there is a raffle series, then you may only win two of the pets from the series. However, if you already own two pets from the same series you may win one more and give the pet to someone else.

To answer everyone's question right away - NO, these will not now nor ever be RP-required pets. They can even sit in your signature or petpage and collect dust. Though it would be nice to pop in the thread every once in awhile and say hi. wink However, in order to breed, you must at least post one RP post about your pet meeting his or her mate (even if it's just "Marmot1 waddles up to Marmot2. "Wanna make babies?" Marmot1 asks" wink . After all, in real life animals don't become pregnant on their own.

I'm pretty lax in how you can RP (humans can interact with animals, it doesn't matter if you use proper or casual RP, past or present tense is fine, etc).

However, to keep some semblance of reality here, there are some boundaries:

Things You/They Can Do

~ Talk to/feed/play with your pet
~ Talk to/feed/play with someone else's pet (if that someone else is controlling their pet at the time!)
~ Manipulate objects like they would if they were the actual animal. Moose can push with their antlers, beavers can slap the water with their tails, bears can carry things in their mouths, etc)
~ After they reach adult stage, they do gain the ability to speak English. So if your pet is an adult you can carry on conversations with them.
~ Anything that an animal of that species could do in real life (geese can fly, bears can climb trees, beavers can swim and gnaw on trees, etc)
~ Injure each other

Things You/They Can't Do

~ Godmod (either godding-out your own pet or controlling someone else's)
~ Anything that an animal of that species couldn't possibly do in real life (a moose couldn't fit down a marmot hole, beavers can't gnaw through a tree in 5 seconds, narwhales can't get out of the water and moonwalk, etc)
~ NO OPPOSABLE THUMBS.
~ Critically injure or kill each other (yes, they can do this in real life. But no dead animals in my shop.)

bottle 1: Stop Potion
cost: free

This potion stops the growth of your pet. It can be used at either the bottle or baby stage, and can be reversed with a Growth Potion.

bottle 2: Growth Potion
cost: 250 gold

This potion immediately grows your pet to the next stage, or reverses the effects of the Stop Potion. It can be used at either the bottle or baby stage.

bottle 3: Reverse Potion
cost: free

This potion immediately reverts your pet to the previous stage. It can be used at either the baby or adult stage. However, the effects of this bottle are permanent and cannot be reversed with a Growth Potion or normal aging.

bottle 4: Rando Potion
cost: 500 gold

The effects of this potion are not yet known. Therefore, Roxy cannot in good conscience sell them just yet. But she thinks she may be close to figuring it out.


To order a potion:
Post in this thread that you would like a potion, and if it has a fee send the trade to this account. As soon as I enact the changes, your pet's image will change to reflect them and a small image of the potion used will appear in the cert.
