Anarchy is defined by the Websters dictionary as a state of lawlessness and political disorder due to a lack of government. This may seem like a terrible state to be in and I won't flat out dispute that claim. But let me ask you this is it really as bad as you think it is. Now wait before you back out of this topic, let me just tell you I am not one of those people who boldly claim that a world plunged forever into the depths of anarchy it a grand and novel idea. No not at all.
Anarchy is a state in which the very soul and nature of man is allowed to roam free and wild doing whatever it pleases without any repercussions whatsoever. Which is all fine and dandy as long as you are not the one that is being roamed upon. In a world of anarchy you can expect murder, rape, theft, and yes believe it or not name calling to be common place events. Worst of all if you suddenly become fat from supersizing to many of your McDonalds meals there will be no courts to make you a millionare at the expense of McDonalds. Horrible isn't it.
But as much as I make fun of the above I would not be interested in seeing an extended period of anarchy fall over the world.
So whats my point? It is this. Anarchy is a required part of the order of the world. Lofty ideas like democracy have no power in a world that knows no anarchy. Good cannot exist without evil despite peoples claims. People are brought into the world expecting to be pampered in a world of over protective governments. They do not bow before order but expect order to bow before them.
This is where the practicality of anarchy comes in. People need to be reminded occassionally what a government is supposed to do. When they see rape and murder happening all around them without repercussions they will once again realize what a government is for. It is not there to listen to the petty whining of people who have every opportunity to take care of themselves but choose not to. It is there to protect them from the greater evils of human nature.
When order prevails too long it begins to exhaust itself and fall into the realms of overprotection which believe it or not is just as disastrous as underprotection. What the world needs is to be constantly dynamic. To be able to fall into anarchy and rise up into order just to fall back and renew the cycle. To much of either order or disorder will destroy just the same.
*For those who are unclear about what I am trying to say here I made another post below that I hope clarifies things*
