Once upon a time, there was a very rich family. This family had a single son, Yojiro. From birth, Yoji was a very weak child. He was kept inside most of his childhood, and when he reached the age of 12- he fell ill and into a deep coma. The family was devastated. Thier precious treasure was asleep, and would never wake up. The father did everything he could, buying scientists from all over to try and cure him to wake him up. Four years passed, and when the boy was 16 the parents decided to stop trying to wake him.. and start trying to do the best with what they had. The father then pooled his money into building his son a world where he could be in his sleep, a Dream Land- a place better than the world he couldn't give him in his real life.

It took the scientists two years to fabricate the world for Yojiro. They spent countless days writing programs and filling documents with code. When Yojiro was 18, they offered him the first version of 'Dream Land'. With the parents permission, the scientists hooked Yojiro into the program through several wires in his hands, neck, and even eyes. A special AI system was incorperated to keep an eye on him as he wandered the Dream Land freely...

Two years later, the program was released into a special school as an 'after school club'. The school was called Aquila, and the after school program was dubbed: 'Shutensa'.

There are two worlds. The real world, where everyone exists- and the Dream Land. Dream Land is achieved through special equipment that only the school provides and keeps on hand. [ Like, the matrix. You have to 'jack' into the program in order to exist in the other world. ]

The 'Avatar' is the name of your character in the Dream Land. Avatars basically never speak of thier 'players', since once in the Dream Land- players cease to exist and you don't remember anything but Dream Land and whatever it is you're doing.

Lune is the great Goddess of Dream Land. She's the guiding light of the world. In real terms, she's the AI program. In Dream Land terms, she's a Goddess that frequently roams the Dream scape watching over it's Avatars. Luna's Sea, is a trail of stars in the sky that run across the world like a stream. From this stream, the new Shutensa appear.

The Path of Ghosts is a high level area that mostly no one dares to wander into. Not much is known about it at this time. Edenia Falls, on the other hand, is a beginner area. There are a lot of cute creatures around these grassy plains.

Shutensa at Aquila is another project funded by Yojiro's father, Victor Lu. He wanted his son to have 'friends' and 'enemies'... so he opened the project to a few students at the school he had planned Yojiro to attend when he was younger. With the help of the Astrology teacher and a scientist he hired to create Dream Land, Yojiro's father has begun to introduce more people into Dream Land. The school is in Japan, but takes influence from Europe as well as several other countries.

Grades are 6-12. Average ages are from 13-19.

• The Astrology Club // Professor Aaric Corwin ; Dr. Julian Klein
  The Astrology Club is the group of students that participate in the Shutensa project. They're all special at something- be it smart, athletic, loud, musicians, or just rogues. It takes a certain degree of mental power and will to be introduced into Shutensa, aside from that.. anyone can join.

  Student council runs the school. They're beneath the faculty, but have power and voices within the Faculty meetings. There is one rep from each grade, officers within the council, and a president.

Professions are fairly new to Dream Land. Jobs have three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Master. Jobs/Professions are called 'CRAFTs' or 'PATHs'.

Raffles are our random bit of fun. There is no rhyme or reason. We'll explain them when the time comes.

Auctions are straightforward. Don't bid unless you have the items. The auction will always have the following information on its own thread. It will list a start and end time, a starting bid, and an autobid. There will be a link to the auction always put on the front page of this thread. Generally, we'll use Mid Lucky Gen to rate donation items and possibly a select few other items. Further information as to if you can co-own, will be listed in each individual auction thread.

Naturally, pet trades depend on what pets the shop owners desire at the time. The lists will be available below if they are looking for something. If you own the shop of those pets and would like to do a pet trade, PM Shutensa.

We absolutely encourage events and will plan several in the future, but don't let that discourage anyone from roleplaying outside of events. Events might get special items or features, so always pay attention whenever an event is in planning. All event information will go here and take place in either this thread, a special event thread, or the guild (so that it can be a sticky and easy to find).
