★☆ short overview ★☆


RENTRER EN SOI is a -somewhat- new band,
formed in 2001 by three of the original members.
The name RENTRER EN SOI itself is French,
and translates [literally] into English as Return of/in Self.
Which really comes out to Self-Return, more or less. XD
[For the record, some people have been led to believe
that the name translates to "Self Revolution", but I'm not
sure I myself follow. I've been taking French for...
many years, lol... and I don't get how "revolution" can
be determined from rentrer, which can also
mean "to go home." It remains in the eye of
the beholder, I guess.]

In 2004, two members were added while one
member left the group.
The group today consists of:
♪ Satsuki || Vocals ♪
♪ Takumi || 2nd guitar ♪
♪ Shun || 1st guitar ♪
♪ Ryo || Bass ♪
♪ Mika || Drums ♪

I suppose RENTRER EN SOI is more indies if
anything, because they're still not that
quite known amongst jrock fans. [Even though they
are becoming more popular as times come
and go.] They're definitely not known like
Malice Mizer or Dir en grey, but more sort of like
Vidoll or 12012. I guess it depends on who you
are or who you talk to, but RENTRER EN SOI really
is a great band with so much talent that I want
to be recognized more.

*leh nods* ._.;; like I said, I don't think many people have heard of them. They're very new to the jrock world. They have their own website, though. [Google search! xd ] And then there's another one called: "Rainy Blood" that is an English fansite.

I'm pretty sure that their CDs aren't out in stores... here, anyway... but you can get some of their mp3s off the web. >.>

They're pretty good, I was pleasantly surprised when I first heard them. I haven't been too happy with the newer bands lately, but Rentrer en Soi is good.

Oh, I love this band! Satsuki is the next Isshi xD! They are really great, awesome lyrics and great music. they really aren't that new <<. I mean.. they were on the cover of CURE once by themselves, and more recently along with Phantasmagoria. That's~ actually pretty big in the indies scene x_x;;. I mean, I know other bands that I was happy if they were in CURE at all xD!

anyway~ my favourite member is Mika x3! I really haven't picked a favourite song yet, but I like lots of their songs :3! And they have really great PVs, and they are produced by Yukari (ex-Baiser) which is Awesome! Satsuki even resembles Yukari a bit x3! He likes him alot, keke. And Dada (ex-Velvet Eden) even designed some of their outfits! How awesome is that! kyaa~~

Hrm... yus, that's how I found out about them in the first place. ^^;; I went to an anime convention, and in the dealer's room there was a jrock section with Cure magazines. I have two of them and the name: "Rentrer en Soi" stuck out to me, and I started getting their mp3s. xd
And I heard about that tour from someone in a community on the site Livejournal.com... I never heard any of Phantasmagoria's music, though. *shrug* I meant that they're not like Dir en Grey or Malice Mizer or anything. Most people I talk to say that they've never heard of ReS. ^.^

I have four of their PVs and part of 1! xd I have their Fallen, Aqua, flow~of~time, Sincerely, and part of their Kuuhaku no Joukei PV! I wish I had more, though. T.T

Mika is cute, too! ^^;; I call him: "the black boy-bride Mika." xd
Mah favorite is Shun. I think he is so lovely. *-*
Oh, and mah favorite song by them is: "Hoshikuzu no rasen." ^.^
