Vampires used to seek out family members to teach them the ways of the bloodsucker. But Xohasij, a clanless vampire leader, created the Vampire Academy to help educate young and new vampires in all vampire ways and protect them and help clans grow after the end of the Vampire/Lycan war, which nicked some clans and totally wiped out others. Vampires of all kind, ethnicity, and power are welcome. But just because the Shadow Academy is hidden from the mortal world doesn't mean it is safe from all... and we do NOT sparkle.
