Worldbuilding is an inherent part of writing any good piece of fiction. Some see it as a kind of necessary chore, but others enjoy the creative processes of character- and worldbuilding so much that they tend to neglect the actual writing itself. If this sounds anything at all like you, you're in the right place. This guild focuses on building a believable world for your story to take place in, and that includes making maps, creating languages, social structures, religions, and technology or magic systems. However, that doesn't mean that characters should be left out, either! *wink* Good character-building will also be discussed.

If you're not thoroughly addicted to process of worldbuilding, but there's some things you just need to get worked out, you're more than welcome to join and discuss the problems you're having. Many people have their 'weak-point' in fleshing out a believable world, so discussions and help are almost always greatly appreciated.


When joining the guild, please type out a short (1-2 paragraph) message stating what your particular worldbuilding love is and why you would like to join. Please keep in mind that this guild is for people who write original fiction only. Sorry, but even fanfictioners that create their own worlds or characters ultimately are still writing fanfiction.
