Ӈistory
A nuclear apocalypse and World war 3 had always been a speculation for years in the 20th and 21st centuries. With the rise of power uses, technological advances and space exploration it was only a matter of time. In the years after 2012 and the world not ending. Religions used there power and political pull in countries to turn against each other. They justified they're actions, in the name of they're 'gods'. It was controlled well by the military leaders around the world for years. Until they're ultimate decision to destroy all religious books and artifacts, in 2022, very few to this day remain. They were then forced into combat, with tensions running high. Civil wars broke out with rioting in the streets, killings escalated and education declined. We spiraled out of control; with the onslaught of bombings happening already, and mini civil wars spread out. With the major cities and other highly populated areas first to be taken. Chemical warfare and biological warfare were both used. The government was outraged and in panic, retaliating with as many bombs, weapons as they could, thinking of the protection of its people. They officially declared war in 2030, we fought to fight and to survive. Countries were once again invaded and corrupted; men, women and children were slaughtered by the thousands they were the ones that refused to conform. Or were just simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Even with all that had happened, we managed to stave off attacks and came together to unite to end this. Nothing was as devastating as when the first nuclear bomb was dropped in December 2049. The target was a nuclear power site, the world ground to a halt as it strive to control the radiation. This didn't stop the other nuclear bombs from being dropped. With the countries covered in ashes. The last standing reminiscent of government was later wiped out in the spring of 2050. The last known nuclear attack was in the same time. But the radiation from the nukes and the previous chemical attacks flourished among those that lived, some of the viruses and diseases remained. The survivors of this later went off on they're own or formed small towns with others.

Ῥresent Day
A century ago, since the third world war ended. Although still many wars and battles have exploded nothing has been as bad as the war. The nuclear war has left its mark on the world. As the human population has slowly began to rise from the ashes they once called their home. Most of the main bodies of water had either evaporated or were too toxic to be of any use. Bandits wander the open roads in between the sparse towns that actually managed to survive against the odds. There are still some houses standing, which are open for lonely travelers to rest at night or try to raid for anything worth value. The people of the wasteland decided that without a proper currency, they wouldn't be able to function, so they decided to use bottle caps to replace the money that they had lost. Guns and ammo, though not common, are still around and very valuable. The most important and valuable things though are clean water, food and medicine. Layers of clothing, radiation suits and equipment are in high demand, due to the unbearable heat and sun rays that were heightened due to the radiation making the atmosphere thinner.
