In the future all sorts of new technology has come about, from hovering buses to flying cars; among the most common of this tech is the virtural reality game. A small visor like helmet that holds a cartridge and fits easily over the eyes, the helmet sends out signals into the brain during sleep, allowing your body to rest and rejuvinate while your conciousness exists within the game. The virtural world of each game is almost literally like an entire other world, complete with cities, contininets, rules, monsters, and its own weather.

While linked to this helmet anyone can enter a vitural world and interact with anyone from anywhere on the planet. For the sake of this RP though, everyone lives within the same city, and they all go to the same continent. It would be a bit difficult if everyone were all over the place, wouldn't it?

While within the virtual world you still vaguely resemble your real world self, though voice and other characterstics do change to match the new self that's been created. You only get one chance at your character, so make it good, think carefully about what you're going to create, because once you're done there's no going back. Don't let the game control your life though! You still have to go to school and work, and don't forget to log out if you need to go somewhere!

Second Life is almost entirely open ended. You can become what you want, choose who you want to be, and grow at your own pace.

When you first enter the game, which means you begin posting in the Real World, describing how you got ahold of the game, you will encounter a GM who will help you come up with your character. She will ask you basically everything about your character, such as hieght and hair color, eye color, race, and where you want to begin. This means that I basically have the profile for your in game character, and I will fill it out for you, then post it up. So all you need to focus on is creating your real life character, because from it I'll decide how to give out your first points which will determine how your character is on level one.

You begin in a newbie village for your individual species, and before you can pick a job, you must get to level ten! Don't worry, the monsters around the newbie villages are very easy and have enough experience points to easily get you where you need to go quickly; but be warned, before you can get your job you also need to go on a quest!
