The Visigoths (Latin Visigothi, Wisigothi, Vesi, Visi, Wesi, or Wisi) were one of two main branches of the Goths, an East Germanic tribe; the Ostrogoths being the other. Together these tribes were among the barbarians who disturbed the late Roman Empire during the Migration Period.

Amalaric (Amalric, Amalarico) (AD 502-531) was king of the Visigoths from AD 526-531. He was assassinated by his own soldiers in Barcelona.

The Sniper of Goth (aka Amalaric Sniper) is an enemy from several games in the Castlevania series. They're the ghosts of Amalaric's assassins.
