Asobi Seksu (half-Japanese), Autolux, Chapterhouse, Cocteau Twins (gothic-sounding), Curve, Dreamend, Loop (for the rockers), Lovesliescrushing (heavy atmospheres, no percussion), Low (more minimalist than shoegaze, but deserves a mention), Lush (very 80's Brit-pop sounding), M83 (only Dead Cities album is any good), Medicine (anything but the latest album), My Bloody Valentine (Classic, you should start here), Pale Saints, The Radio Dept., Readymade, Ride, Serena Maneesh, Slowdive, The Swirlies, Thrushes.
