This guild is devoted to putting your original work out there for others to read. Exercise in writing is developed, and intelligent critiques of style, plot development, technique, etc. is encouraged. This guild aims to be an excellent tool for writers of all levels, and through interaction with this guild, we aim to see improvement in each individuals writing skills.





Please post one work, story, or poem per thread. If applicable, post the appropriate work in the appropriate subforum. Any updates to a story (i.e. a new chapter) should be kept in the first post(s). Critiques can then be posted after the story without readers having to search for pages to find out what happens next. If submissions can be rated Mature, they must be rated as such in the title of the thread.

Rules and Regulations

1. Please follow Gaia ToS.

2. No spamming.

3. Critique in a helpful manner-in other words, refrain from flame.

4. If you wish to post a link to a non-Gaia website, such as a personal webpage, please post it in the Links thread and no where else. Not following this rule, even if it is in response to a question in a thread, can lead to banishment from the guild. If someone wants to know where to find something, then post it in the Links, saying "I posted it on page so-and-so of the Links thread."

5. If the work is over a G rating, then please note the rating in the title of the thread.

6. Please proofread and spell-check your fiction and poetry before submission.

Ratings

G Basically, with this rating, the language and violence is so low you could read this to your Sunday school teacher. No swearing or extreme language, no provocative sexual situations, little or no violence. For example, hand holding or a peck on the cheek is the most the characters do romantically, and violence is brief, and not bloody.

PG A little more mature as would be appropriate for someone of about twelve. Some romantic situations, such as kissing, without extreme description or doing other things than kissing (i.e. anything below the neck). Violence is limited, and language is a little stronger without swearing.

PG-13 Appropriate for an audience of age thirteen and up. Sexual situations cannot involve anything below the waist, and language includes mild swear words. Violence does not include sadistic, cruel, or warped scenes.

M Mature only. Can include explicit sexual scenes, strong language, violence, and unsavory situations (i.e. torture). Readers view at their discretion and may not agree with the ideas expressed within.
