What if...

All of your favorite superheroes, villains and other characters from Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, Dynamite and everywhere else suddenly found themselves in a strange place?

A place that seemed like home, but yet was completely different?

A place where they could meet and interact with people from other universes...fight, team up, fall in love or even die...

This place is the Nexus. A reality so close to their own, and yet so different. Some will plot to rule it. Others will try to enforce order upon it. And others will use it as a chance to get away with things they'd never be able to do in their own universe.

Is it a hoax? A dream? An imaginary story? It's all of those, and yet none of them at the same time!

Kapow! The Super-Gaian Guild is a casual, long-running roleplay that has been going on since July of 2004. We are the longest active superhero roleplay on Gaia. New posts are made daily!

Kapow features:

-A casual, overarching storyline built on characters interacting in the "Nexus" universe, a joining-point in between all realities

-Focused 'alternate universe' roleplays such as post-apocalyptic battles, Heroes in High School and others

-Out of character discussion about all forms of entertainment, art displays and exchanges, real-life meetups at conventions

-Contests monthly that give away Monthly Collectibles and other valuable prizes

-Relaxed, informal settings that allow you to do what you want with your character as long as it's respectful of others

-Heroes, villains, side characters, deities, and non-superpowered comic characters all together in one plot

-YOU MUST HAVE A CIVILIAN/SECRET IDENTITY AS YOUR SCREEN NAME. "Courtney Whitmore" is all right, but "Star Girl" is not. YOU MUST BE A REAL CHARACTER, not one you've made up. There are several other guilds for original characters, our focus is existing comic characters.

-No Manga characters, please. This rp's focus is Western comics.

-When submitting your join request, if you are new to Gaia or no one in the guild already knows you, take a little time and write out an introduction. True comic fans are appreciated; experts are fine but you don't have to be an expert to join. Just someone who genuinely loves the character they've come here to portray.

-If you've requested to join with a character who's already active in the guild, you may be asked to submit a different character.

-KAPOW! VOTES ON ALL PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS. As per our agreement when we opened, all members get a chance to vote on new members. Voting takes 3 days, so please be patient.
