The Magic Guild of Gaia, and the Quest of the Magic Empire
A land cast into darkness,

Welcome to the Magic Empire! A land of magic and wonders, beauty and excitement, as well as darkness and destruction awaits you within the walls of this, the Jewel of the Magic Guilds of Gaia. The Empire is a land that was once ruled by a benevolent and kind man known as Ghaleon, whose power came from that of a woman known as Althena, a Goddess. With this power, the Emperor created a beautiful haven filled with Gardens and grand architecture that would stand for all that was right in the world of Gaia.
That was then...
Now, corrupted by a darkness that once enthralled him, the man known as Ghaleon has taken upon himself the title of Magic Emperor once more. His intentions? To use the power of the Goddess and his Magic Empire to destroy every last trace of resistance against his will and then recreate the world in his own design. Ruled by misguided principles and willing to opress any and all who stand in his way, Ghaleon has become a noble and dark tyrant in his own land of beauty.
What once stood as towers in the Magic Empire have been replaced with poor villages lead by the few elite fighters who remain either in service of, or in battle against the Magic Emperor. While the majority of the world is directly in the service of the Magic Emperor, there are those still who oppose him.
There are those who have cast aside the rules and standards set by the Emperor, and refuse to live in the structured reality which he has created for them. Rebels, knights, and demons alike have forsaken their lives in hopes that one day, they might find the key to defeat the Magic Emperor and his servants, and then win the freedom that was taken from them when Ghaleon achieved full-power.
However those who have forsaken him are warned that their rebellion will be swiftly met with the full wrath of the Magic Empire. In light of this, the number of rebels and villages has dwindled to a handful. The heroes of freedom are hunted, slaughtered, and cast out ruthlessly by the Magic Emperor's servants, who are more than willing to kill in the name of their ruler.
Those who fight for true freedom often must hide, run, and fear for their lives, because the moment their guard is down, they know the Magic Emperor will deliver the hammerstroke of doom upon them. This is the dark reality in which Ghaleon's vision has forced the world to live. And with the power of the Goddess behind him, the Emperor's regime has been clearly without rival on this planet...until now...
A hero of old, one of the forgotten heroes of Lunar who tasted victory against the Magic Emperor...a magician's apprentice named Nash Ausa...had perhaps discovered a way through which a power that nearly rivals that of the Goddess could be unlocked. However, before he could unlock said power himself, Nash mysteriously disappeared, leaving behind only a rumor and a parchment which he imparted to the leader of a certain group of rebels, the Great White Knight Ryo Akiyama.
The parchment included a poem, and the story of a boy named Alex from a small town called Burg who saved the world from a great evil, long, long ago. It was left in the care of the White Knight in hopes that he would be able to decipher it and one day end the terrible rule of the Emperor. The next day, Nash left the village...it was the last time he was ever seen.
So now it comes down to this...a final quest for the future of the planet. If those who stand against the Magic Emperor cannot find the power of which the hero spoke, the world will remain plunged into darkness for eternity. However, if they can, then the light may yet outshine the dark once more.
