ABOUT
“Sins of the Blood” is a role playing community based on Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series of books. To join this guild, you must be at least vaguely familiar with canon up to the end of Blue Moon (assuming you read the books in the order they were written). If you don’t wish to be spoiled for the first eight books, I don’t recommend reading any of the plot summaries or current story arch’s involved with this guild.


RULES
01: No uber/Mary Sue characters.
-- “Uber” characters are defined as any character who is the best at everything, or has so many powers they would be unbeatable if they got into a fight with another character. No; you may not circumvent this rule by giving them one super secret weakness that’s impossible to find, since this wouldn’t make any real difference. If you’re unfamiliar with the term Mary Sue, I recommend you Google it before you post your character’s bio.
----- YES, I know Anita herself is both of these things. She's canon, so shut up.

02: Canon characters are allowed in this RP on a case-by-case approval.
-- If I get applications from more than one person for the same canon character per RP thread, the one who has the best grip on the character's personality will be accepted. If you're request is denied, you're free to try for another you might have a better grip on.
----- Canon characters that are dropped/still open will be played by the admin from the guild mule. Any character played that way will still be availible to be applied for, but you have to be active.

03: Do not donate to the guild.
---- For now, the guild is financially take care of, but soon there will be a guild mule you can donate to, so sit tight you financially encumbered members 8D

04: All sexual content should be taken to PMs or off-site.
-- i personally dont care one way or the other about cybersex, BUT i enjoy Gaia, and i enjoy my guild, so take it to PM's. Anyone caught doing it will be kicked out of the guild and smacked with the banhammer.

05: Posts must be in character except in dedicated threads/subforums.
-- Small notes about something’s meaning are fine. Entire out of character posts in the middle of an active thread are not. Take it to PMs or something.

QUESTION & ANSWER
Q: What happens to my character if I leave/get banned?
A: If you leave of your own free will, you can do with them what you want, up to and including handing them off to another person. If you’re kicked and banned from the guild, your character is killed off by an NPC.your death will be humiliating 8D

Q: What’s a banhammer?
A: A metaphor for captain powers that makes banning sound fun.

Q: Who do I contact if I have questions, comments or just want to b***h about something?
A: That would be Sacrificial_jennifer, the girl in charge of this operation.


CURRENT STORY PLOT
Mine...

A hooded figure grins as the girls walk by the alley where he's secluded himself, his keen ears hearing only one of them stop at the door to the apartment building. He waits, hearing the door open and the one who didn't stop break into a jog. Carefully and making as little noise as possible, he unzips the cloak-like coat he wears and lets it fall, a wave of deep black fur following it to the ground.

The jaguar-man emerges from the alley on padded feet, cinnamon colored eyes intent on his victim. With a quiet purr he leaps, powerful jaws latching onto her throat before she can make a sound. Clawed hands rip through the meat of her stomach, tearing into her chest and throat, and all too soon it's over. Placing a small silver cross on the corpse, the cat stalks back into the shadows of the alley, licking the gore off of his hands and dreaming of a hot shower.

News headlines all over St. Louis are all about nothing but the strange rash of murders, commited by a man the media has dubbed Father Blood. Anyone known to be or suspected of being a lycanthrope is a potential suspect for murder. The police are stumped; the attacks all take place out in the open, yet somehow there's never any witnesses.

Victims are always college students, aged between 18 and 23, and are usually female. They're always alone or having just recently parted company with someone. All are known to support non-human rights, or are found to be supportive after their death. The people want answers, they want this killer brought to justice...

Lycanthropes are infuriated that one of their own is killing people. Many are terrified to leave their homes for fear of retribution, or they're more careful than normal to not reveal to new people that they're shapeshifters. Some left town until it blows over. Stranger still is the sudden interest people have in visiting St. Louis, and the bumper stickers that say still things about surviving Father Blood's lands.

Who is this killer, what is his purpose? Can he be stopped?
