Background Story
The Guild is dedicated to the Future health professionals of the World. I decided to make this here because I like spending time on Gaia. I'm in a Pre-medical program and I'm in my Second year. I didn't want to loose contact with people in Gaia so I decided to make this to help me stay here, and to still allow me to study on Gaia. Time is a very important thing that I've come to discover when in university, I used to waste a lot of my time in Highschool talking about seriously random nonsense that didn't profit me or anything. I got to university and I realized just how incredibly precious that time is, the Semmester, goes by FAST! So, I made this Guild to allow me to Review what I learned before exams, and to allow me to review some of the main topics in Biology or medicine through questions and assistance to others, and study groups.
Purpose
A brief overview of what I hope to achieve with this Guild. I had a wise teacher once tell me, that the best way to learn, was to explain things to someone else. It is the best way to learn, you're forced to learn the topics so that you understand better. People actually go and review the material prior to explaining it to someone else, with fear that their information might e wrong or misleading. This is excellent!
The Guild
The guild will be doing several different things to enhance learning and explanation experiences. We hope to develop even theories on learning techniques to better help us in upper years. Through tutoring, lecturing, study groups and seminars we hope to achieve the best out of our time in Gaia. This however, we need people to come and Join to make this even more wonderful. Without members in the guild who are active, what we hope to achieve will cease to exist.
Are examples of things we will be doing in the Guild. Seminars will consist of information about certain topics that are applications to what we are doing in Lectures. This includes a list from HIV to Cancer research and medical applications! Lectures will consist of basically information of the actual courses themselves. We shall hold different courses throughout the years from different levels of studies and programs. Some will be crosslinked, where as others shall be specific to that certain area of study and will have limited seating. Information Sessions range from a wide variety of things, such as information about specific programs or graduate schools, or information sessions about career opportunities and benefits. Sessions are also established prior to establishing a lecture in which members who have been picked to make Lectures, make a thread and post information about what will be covered in the lecture, such as time, topics, or amount of seating. Study groups are the threads where everyone can partake and help each other in a certain issue, a lot of those are usually established in Universities or colleges PRIOR to a test and are sometimes helpful depending on the involvement of all of the students in the study group. Private tutoring is a new addition that my mother actually came up with. Private tutoring is for those who wish to offer their service to members of the guild in exchange for items/gold/art. Homework help is for when you have trouble with a certain assignment, or lab, or something and you wish to seek help from those in the Guild. This does NOT mean that we will give you the answers to everything, we want you to learn, so we shall guide you in the proper direction instead.
Subjects covered
There are so many different topics covered in the Guild. So if you are interested in many wide ranges of biological/biochemical/medical/chemical fields this will be the place for you. We offer help with several specialized courses designed for different programs at several universities. Courses range from a wide variety, such as Toxicology to Mammology, even to Pharmacology and Virology! We offer courses on Immunology, biochemistry, organic chemistry courses and our Guild members are very enthusiastic about these issues! There are several more, and more courses are being added each day. Help us make this guild the most amazing thing for everyone to learn from! Join today.

These are just some of the basic Rules and Requirements in our Guild. When you sign up, please be sure to glance through all of the Stickies and announcements. I tried to make them as clear as possible for everyone to read! If you have questions regarding any of these, please visit the Questions and Assistance Sticky on the Information Desk. We also have requirements on signing for courses such as Registering for the Alumni List on the Registration Sub-forum. More information about procedures is found inside the Guild and our mods are always available to answer any questions or concerns!

If you think you are interested in all of the things we do here. We'd be more than glad to welcome you to the Team. We hope to have a wide variety of exciting and interesting people in the Guild and with more people, there's more activity and certainly more advertisements for those who wish to find a guild up to their level!
