An age ago, Lucifer, an archangel and "leader" of the heavenly choir, tried to rebel against God. He believed that he would be as powerful as God Himself. Needless to say, the rebellion failed. A third of the angels, those who followed Lucifer, followed him to the Abyss, Hell. These angels were malformed into what humans know as the demons. Lucifer, as extra punishment, retained his former angelic beauty.
A vast majority of the other two-thirds of the angels remained faithful to God. They remain in heaven to this day, serving God as faithfully as ever.
A small contingency, angels who either did not fully joined neither side or refused to fight, were exiled from heaven for the remainder of eternity. They took refuge on Mount Karza, on earth. It is separated from the earthly plane, however. They serve neither side to this day, and Jaras, the First Exile, is their general. Also called the tainted, their wings were changed from white to black when they were cast out.
Thousands of years later, in modern times, the bitterness of Lucifer and his minions has come to a head. They are preparing on bringing war to the heavenlies, yet again. The Exiles and humans will be caught in the middle...which side will you choose?
