Fe: The Features of FeFiRo
Fe: The Features of FeFiRo
Do you want to participate in a good roleplay, but can't find anybody to write more than a one-sentence post? Do you want to be in a place where the people you're roleplaying with will roleplay with you again in an entirely different setting? Do you want the same people to become some of the best and longest friends you'll ever make....even if you never meet them, do you want to roleplay with not just friends, but a family? Then search no more: you may have just found your Fellowship.
The Fellowship of Finished Roleplayers offers all that and more: a roleplay workshop where your fledgling ideas can receive feedback from all members before you even post them, a fan quarter to express your interest in things that don't happen in the roleplays you're in, a reply journal to keep track of where you and others need to post, a specific one-on-one forum in case group roleplays move too slowly for you or just don't float your boat at the moment, guild-wide parties, a Chatterbox to keep your attention and make friends beyond the characters, and so much else! And best of all, if you're nice to the friends you make, the friends you make will be nice to you. We guarantee that.
The Fellowship of Finished Roleplayers is not so much a 'fellowship' as we are a family. Members must have respect for other members and be able to appreciate fine roleplaying and not be intimidated by a terribly long explanatory homepage. biggrin
Fi: The Firsthand tale of FeFiRo
A roleplay sample from one of our illustrious roleplays, hopefully to pique your interest!
New Realms; Manuel
It was early. Manny barely slept. Had he even slept, at all? He couldn’t remember. It was too early. He figured that maybe he did sleep, or maybe he didn’t. His body whined and ached that no, he did not sleep, but his mind blanked out on certain aspects of his night, indicating that, perhaps, he had indeed dozed off. But it was too early. Or maybe it wasn’t early at all. Maybe after his coffee he’d be able to have this internal and ever eternal battle with himself.
Lifting his mug, he swirled the black tar-like liquid three times, as he always did. One. Two. Three. He then would bring the mug up to his lips, and take one long sip, before setting the cup down in the exact spot he had gotten it from, not an inch off in difference. He swallowed. Manny preferred day old coffee. It was an acquired taste, of course, thick and practically undrinkable. But at least he wouldn’t have to fight over a freshly brewed pot with the rest of them. And no one dared touch day old coffee but him. It was a win-win situation.
Click. Click. Clickclickclick. His fingers expertly roamed the keys in the darkness of the room. He was the first inside the building, as always. He was never a minute too soon, never a minute too late. He hadn’t bothered turning on any of the lights, but immediately went into one of the little side rooms to test out some equipment that had been salvaged the day before. Pulling away from his keyboard, he spun his chair to the right and picked up the opened circuit board which contained a broken piece of motherboard that was attached with wires to the main computer he was using. He fiddled with the wires before setting it back down to try again. Manuel tried coding after coding. The piece seemed to respond, but there also seemed to be either a missing code or a corrupted code. The coding possibilities were endless, but there was another option: to give it to Adelaide and have her work her dumb luck hacker magic on it. Problem solved. Speaking of Adelaide, she was running late. This caused the man to give an involuntary twitch as he turned back to his coffee. Why did that woman seem to always purposely rub him the wrong way…
Three swirls, and the man took another long sip before setting the mug down again. More clicks. More wire fiddling. Three more swirls. One. Two.
His third swirl almost spilled some of the contents over the rim of the cup as an obnoxious horn sound came from outside, startling the programmer and his routine. As if that wasn’t enough, he could have sworn he heard “FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD COWBOY’S HERE!” being shouted.
If ever Manuel had any will to get up and investigate the going-ons, that extinguished it, right there. Manny was not particularly fond of the man. And so, rolling his eyes, he stayed where he was, glancing down to his keyboard in an attempt to try and remember where he was at in his routine before he got distracted.
“Sini, your boyfriend’s here!” he snarked, unimpressed, before remembering that he needed to take a sip from his coffee before returning to the keyboard.
He wasn’t sure if he was irritated or actually glad that it wasn’t Sinikka who got to the cowboy, first. He heard Adelaide’s voice- finally! How late was she, exactly?- as she strolled in, turning on the television, and walked down to the back room, right past the dark and closed side room, where he was sitting. Standing, he made his way over to the door and waited for the woman to walk in front of it once more as she headed back to the front of the building before he quietly opened the door and followed.
He wore white contacts that morning, which revealed his pupil and the faint exterior rim of his brown iris. He glared at the other man for a moment before finding it best to ignore him, and turned his attention onto Adelaide.
“Fifteen minutes.” He spoke, as a reminder that not only was he there, but that he had, contrary to what she wished, noticed her tardiness. “I suppose you’re going to tell me it’s not as bad as the last time, right?”
