faeries are creatures first created by the universe itself, unique to the planet earth, but as humans destroyed and forgot their origins and the very force of the universe faded in humans, faeries' ability to live in a shared world between faeries and humans lessened. they knew that one day this would prove impossible and they would have no place to hide, so the faeries created the wild. the wild is the faeries' world and one day they hope to bring it back. faeries used to be naturally created parts of the universe, parts of nature, and occasionally humans--humans that wandered upon faeries and were not snatched into a deadly game. now, the new faeries are humans, usually children, but also adults, that have a shard of the universe within them that allows them to become a faery. these new faeries are defined not by nature, but by their deepest desires, darkest secrets, most coveted dreams, and strong ideas. they are bound not by morality, but by their whims and impulses. humans beware.
