I am really glad you found this guild of mine! It's brand new and well on its way to becoming a great site for literate to semi literate Roleplayers! Even if you do not roleplay, and you hold a passion for dragons in general, you are still welcomed to join! We have a general chit chat forum that can keep you busy!
I understand there is a lot to take in on the front page. So if you are new, I don't expect you to read through it all on one sitting. Just be aware of them and remember all the information is right here incase you need to come back to it.
The premise of Dragons of Gaia
The basic premise behind this roleplaying is simple.
There is an elite race of Gaians, who poses the genes of being which can allow them control elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and Darkness) some, more then others. When these beings harness these abilities within their own bodies, there shapes changes, and they become what are called Gaian Dragons. Some have horns, tails, claws, sharp teeth, and even devilish eyes.
Amongst these there five who have learned to harness their elements to the maximum. These are the Masters, and it is them who keep the elemental balance of Gaia as best they can.
But, even these masters are uncertin about the Dragon's future now. Strange, and dangerous beasts are appearing in various areas of The Dragon's land. Attacking anything they please, and draining their opponents energy. So now...something, or someone is threatening the very safety of their land and disrupting the elemental balance of everything.
How do I Join?
To join this guild you first must fill out the form I give you below. Before filling out, please read everything I have bolded so you can get an understanding of or basic principals. you must remember though, the characters you roleplay as are based off your avatars!
- There are two roleplaying Subforums in this guild. The Literate, and Semi-Literate. Semi Literate simply means that you have a little while to go in develouping descriptive and long paragraphed roleplaying replys.
-If a Mod labels you as semi-literate after they have received and approved your roleplay example and submission form, this is not a bad thing! It just means you have a little while to go. You will only be permitted to the Semi-Literate forum to do your roleplaying if that occurs. If you feel like your skills have improved, please pm Whispers of the Shadows, or another mod to preview your new roleplay example.
-If you have been deemed as a Literate Roleplayer, you are welcome to roleplay in both roleplay subforums.
-If you do not intend to join this guild as a roleplayer, you do not need to fill out a roleplayers form and submission. Just PM a mod or Whispers of the Shadows stating you would like to join the guild to chat to others on the general forum.
-Of all the races of Gaians I have listed availible for the roleplay, you have to realzie to be considered a Gaian Dragon you must have something "Dragonic" on your avatar. It does not have to be all out mind you, horns, tail of some assortment, claws etc.
- If in the future, if you do want to be a dragon, there is a prestage for dragons called "The Unfound". Read more on them below in the race descriptions.
-There are no half breeds. Sorry folks, your either Gaian Dragon or not.
-Also, you may not be a wild Reptilian Dragon "tamer" and a Gain dragon at once.
-Please, this is not for roleplaying everything you want. So no FMA roleplaying, or Highschool roleplaying
- Keep your locations of roleplaying with in gaia, or with in the areas found in the land of the Gain Dragons. (You can find a list and brief description of locations with in our land that you may find of interest in your roleplays also below)

Type of Races
Gaian Dragons-The race the guild revolves around. Known to be strong element casters in fire, water, wind earth and shadow. It is usualy obvious what kind of elements they weild but the colors they adorn. Also, Gaian dragons have something on their bodies that make them more identifiable as this unqiue race. Such as Horns, a tail, claws, haunting eyes, or head fins.
( I am not too picky about what makes you a dragon, as long as you have something of the following above. Dragons are a wide varied race..so you could have a cat tail and still be a dragon) Below is also the explination of elements and what powers reside with them
***Note: The ability to use your powers increases with how long you have been here. so if you have been withthe guild for a week your abilities will be tiny, if you have been here for a 8 months your powers will be apretty great.
Fire-Flame wielding, and cojuring from dried and flamable materials
The Fire master has the abilities to turn any items to molten lava and also to summon the volcano's rath and causing it to errupt.
Water-The ability bind hydrogen and Oxygen atoms to create jets of water they can toss at their opponent, and also the ablity to freeze small amounts of water upon comamnd.
The water master has the ability to freeze and create massive bodies of water, while also controling waves and the area tides.
Air-Minor users have the ability to control gusts of wind to fling at their opponent and create spraks of electricity to jolt their enemies
The Air master, has the ability to create raging storms that include tornados, and also can create lightening bolts to obliterate (hopefully) their enemies
Shadow- Minor users have the ability to conform dark shadows to hide their appearence and also form shadows bombs which burn like fire.
The Shadow master also has the ability to form shadows into no faced beings which they control at their will.
Earth- Minor users can conjur jagged rocks out of the earth and turn hard surface into mud to trap opponents
The Earth Master can cause land slides, and create mountains at their own will.
The Uncertain-These are gaians who have wandered to the hidden Dragon lands on a whim. Upon their arrival, these people feel a strong presence with in them, and it is these people who are the uncertin. Gaian people who have thought to themselves to be normal, until they finally break free and realise their dragon heritage.
( You choose this if you want your chracters to bea dragon, but do not have the gold to make the appearence of one, once you have roleplayed your avatar so that it has become a dragon, and also changed their avatar to have something dragonic about them, I will change you to a Gaian dragon.
Retilian Dragon Tamers - These are otherwise normal gaians who have taken up the task to tame wild, free roaming reptilian dragons.( Reptilian Dragons= The picture that coems to your head when you think of dragns) Often this group of Gaian's are seen with Gwee's at their side. Reptilian Dragon taming is a rare art now and days and taming is passed from family generation to generation
Gains - Regular human Gaians who have somehow found there way here. Usualy the gaians that come here already have preexisting knowledge, of the Gain Dragons and their arts.
Locations to Rp in within the Gain Dragons land.
Below is a short list of the lands you have to choose to roleplay in here. In every land, for every element there are. Though I will say you are welcomed to roleplay at any Land, (ex. Wind Gaian Dragon...venturing to the land of the fire dragons) you may only live in the area you are repersented by. Tamers and regular Gaians are allowed to live where ever they choose.
The Flat Lands and the Great city of Algala-A massive field that resides between all five elemental lands. And Every Element is repersented in some way here. For those who are Tamers, Uncertain, or regular gaians, they usualy make there home here. And this is also the onyl place where untercains are allowed to make their home.
Their prosperous city stands in the center of the Flat Lands. Because of its location, The city of Algala is prosperus, filled with trade items from all elemental based lands. The Great temple of the elements is found here and also the grand hall where all governing meatings between each land is held.
In the Soutern region of the flat lands there is a large lake called crystal lake, where many find it to be a good place to relax.
The Volcanic Field & Citholo Town- The land of the fire elementals, it is from the great Volcano, Angaro where it is said the Gaian Dragons of fire are able to draw their power. The Town of Citholo is located at the lands southern edge, the only safe area away from the volcano and its lava fields. Its a hostile area, which makes its wages by fishing out of the ocean of fire for tasty Fire fish which live in lava, and also by mining for rare gem stones found in cooled lava rock.
The Lands of Water and Hydra Village-Thw lands of water are best known for their fishing, brining in fish from both the murky wet lands, and the ocean just beyond it which they gather their abilities from. The Town of Hydra found in the center of the land, is small, but well kept, humble even. Yet despite it, they usualy try to avoid people who live there from travelling to the marshes, recently there have sightings of monsters and hideous beasts that carry diseases found there, and they are trying to get to the bottom of this.
*NOTE: Though it never leads to huge battles, the land of fire and water are always under conflict, and if a dragon from either territory wanders to the other, they are often looked down upon, and even picked on.
Lands of Wind and Neo Town-Though most of the lands of wind is hilly grassland, from each direction of it, you can always see Daegorian Mountain. Where a thunderstorm always rages at its peak. At its top there is fabled to be a holy gem. And the wind Master rarely speaks of it, trying to avoid travelers from risking their lives to see such an item. Neo Town Is towards the southern of edge of the land. Agriculture is how many make their livings in the windy fields, but the more powerful of Wind Dragons assist with controling of rain supplies in other lands.
The Lands of the Shadows and Silver Town-Probably one of the more mystrious of the lands, mostly because a shadowed forest runs at the northern portions of it. Yet the forest is still where the dragons of the shadows conjur their strength. Like the marshes of the water lands though, monsters are saying to appear from it, and no one is sure why. The City of silver town lives with those, Located in the Southwestern portion is best known for its high quality potions and rare game animals found in the dangerous forest.
The Lands of Earth and the Steel City The land itself is trecherous filled with mountains, steep cliffs and areas prown to land slides. Though the city of Steel is not actually made of the metal of its name sake, it got it for that it it is known for its valuable minderal desposites used for constructing buildings. Also, the are is littered in caves which also are spawning monsters. Luckily, the people here are naturaly strong and like the other area experiencing these creatures they are able to stand up to the threat.

10/08/06-Ok, basicaly everything is up and ready now! Thread rules are complete, and we have started to do a bit of roleplaying..I hope to see some new applications soon wink
10/07/06- The guild is finally getting underway. Those who are itnerested in joining can now apply having full knowledge of what its expected. Though for now I still need to post the rules for the various forums with in the guild. Thank you, and I hope you have a great time at The dragons of Gaia!!
Also I am not accepting positions for elemental masters right now..when I do, I'll put up any guidelines for those who may be interested.
