About Us
Le Serment d'Ombre is based on a island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. It's outer edges are surrounded by constant waves on beaches and it's inner is full of a lush forest like environment. The forest is dotted with caves and on the very north side of the island lays the only graveyard with graves that date back to before Ancient Greece.
The population mostly consists of all sorts of creatures; Vampires, Lycans, Angels, Daemons etc. As well as with humans. There's a semi-treaty between the Humans that have knowledge of the creatures and the creatures themselves. The treaty outlines the subject that no human should be harmed by the Creatures, but that's rarely followed because the Creatures are so numerous.

The Rules
• Le Serment is a literate role-play. Proper English is to be used at all times, no exceptions. This means you describe your characters actions, how your character is feeling. What they say will be found between quotation marks (" " wink , and OC (Out of Character) speak with be found between either: [[]], {{}} or || ||.
• All basic GaiaOnline.com Terms of Service apply in this role-play guild. The complete Terms of Service may be found by following this link. -> Terms of Service
• We ask you keep your vulgar language to a minimum-- not every word please; It's ugly to look at. Also, overly descriptive sexual content will not be accepted and will be reported to the Gaian Staff if found. We do not advise you to take these 'intimate' scenes to PM, because that is also against the Gaia ToS (Terms of Service) and you would be doing so at your own risk.
• You will have to submit a sample of your role-play abilities when applying to join the Guild. Keep in mind, no matter how good your role-play sample is, if we find that you aren't keeping up literately; we will either ask you to fix it, or leave. Of course, we won't burn someone at the stake for a typo or two, we just ask that you read over your post to make sure it's readable.
• There is no limit to how many characters a role-player may have, we do however ask that you keep up with all your characters.
• If you decide you want to create a new place in the role-play, please clear it before hand with a mod-- that why no confusion will come out of it.
• If you're going to quit the Guild, give us a small heads up so we can adapt any place or any player that may be effected by that action.
• On the note of the above stated, if you're going to be absent for any amount of time: Please make sure you post a quick snippet in the 'Absence' thread so we know you haven't waltzed out on us.
• Please keep in mind, not all humans have knowledge of the Creatures, so a doubtful reaction from a human character would be good once in a while. Also feel free to NPC random people-- shop keepers, random passing people etc.
•• Be advised that these rules can change at any time without prior knowledge to the members.
••• In your Join Application please include the following: A paragraph or two of a sample role-play (written by you) and the word: Serpent (at the very end of the application) .
