Knowledge is power; whoever said that must have felt like a god in this place. The only other room that equals or possibly even exceeds the size of the Grand Hall, this library holds hundreds of thousands of books, from the most current literature of the Upper World, to ancient scrolls kept in vaults many floors below the main level. It's simply staggering to try and even think about it, the sheer volume of paper kept within these walls. The library is sometimes just fun to walk around in, as it's more of a maze than anything, with level upon level of bookshelves containing every imaginable subject, and constant stairwells, slopes, elevators, and free-floating personal hover-platforms to guide you to out-of-reach books hundreds of feet up. The staff is in the hundreds, mostly students and some teachers, and lowly spirits called Bookworms that do most of the laborious work of sorting and returning books to the shelves.

Albiore, supposedly followed by his two compatriots, entered via one of the smaller ports into the Main chamber of the library, busy as always. He went over to the railing of the level they were currently on and looked down, watching all the students scurry about.

"Geez... too much studying can be bad for your health..."

Sorce watched a lowly Bookworm struggling to return a particularly heavy tome and waved his hand, his body growing dark for a moment. "They'll live," he said, as the surprised Bookworm found it's load back in the shelves.

"They'll need it if they expect to be anywhere near as great as me.."

Oisin seemed to say that more to himself than anyone else, as he peered over the railing.

'Coming from someone who doesnt own a book without pictures?'

"...that's not the point."

Albiore hesitated a moment before grabbing the railing with both hand and heaving himself over with surprising dexterity (that whole Selkie thing...) landing with barely a sound on the top of a large bookcase about 10 feet below, and started to walk along it. He looked about, an idea started to form in his mind...

Oisin watched curiously as Albiore leaped from the railing they were on to a bookcase, students below still unsuspecting.

He simply eyed him waiting to see what was to happen next. They came to have fun..so.

'Bet..he's gonna jump down and scare one of'em.'

'I bet he's not.."

Albiore turned and motioned for the other two to follow. It seems he had an idea....

Oisin raised an eybrow but complied nonetheless. He most definitely wasnt an agile person, but magic was allways good in cases like this.

Leaping from the railing he landed onto the bookcase with a very soft patting sound. After gaining balance the tall elf stood and looked about.

While Oisin was coming over to him, Albiore had bent down over the side of the bookshelf and pulled a book from underneath. Faust, by Goethe. He clasped the black tome by the spine, turning his shining gaze on the other two.

"Get ready to play hide-and-seek-kill-the-carrier-capture-the-flag..."

Oisin raised his eyebrow and just stared at the Selkie.

'We're gonna play...what?'

'hide-and-seek-kill-the-carrier-capture-the-flag'

'I heard that..I ment, nevermind'

He began to allow a mental picture to begin to form. So they were playing...with a book? He acted like he understood and nodded his head all the meanwhile.

Sorce's glamer overcame him again a for a moment, and suddenly Albiore was holding a marble brick. The academic in him-- and he did not mean Shade!-- twitched violently at the idea of using a real book. Landing lightly on top of the bookshelves, he wondered how this was "avoiding the Aesir's attention"...

Before the brick could break his hand off, Albiore surrounded the object in a small sphere of water, floating a few inches above his hand.

"Alright. This is what's gonna happen..."

Hide-And-Seek-kill-the-carrier-tag!

Your job is to find this book, now a marble brick, and bring it to the circulation desk and check it out to win. It shall be teleported somewhere into the library. Each players shall split up and search for it- every time you post, use the "Action- roll a die" and use an 6-sided die. A result of 1-6 yields nothing in your search, but an 6 means you've found it! Also, if you roll the same number as another person did in their last post, you find them! Now the carrier has to make it back to the circulation desk without getting the book stolen from them by the other players! Note: If you try to use any kind of magic to find or replicate the book, it shall be sent farther away from your location automatically! If that happens, you must roll a die one size larger- up to 8, where 8 is locating the book and then d10, where a 10 finds it, and so on. A d12 is the maximum die it can go up to. Once you have the book, you can't use magic at all, or the above penalty happens! Also, the final rule is that you can't use magic that would disturb anyone else working in the library in any way! That's it!

The brick lifted up into the air and disappeared in a flash. Alboire smirked, then dove into the aisles of books, shouting back, "Let the game begin!"

[to post, roll the die first, then go back and edit your post afterwards.]

Daisuke tore off down the narrow aisles of bookshelves, screeching to a stop at the main intersection, a foot short of a girl carrying a load of books. Nevertheless, she fell backwards, still holding the books, and landed hard on her behind. It was the same girl as before... Of course....

"Ach... sorry about that..." He paused a moment, to make sure she was alright...

Sorce sighed. "So childish..." he muttered, shaking his head. He turned away, already thinking of checking out a book or maybe bugging the front desk about whether his copy of Negi Negi Paradise: The Seduction of Evangeline had arrived yet when...

THUMP!

He looked down at the block of marble he'd exchanged for the book. "Oh, that's where it went..." he muttered, picking it up.

Damn, you got lucky, Shade giggled. Lady Luck is going to be pissed you've taken all her mojo...

Shut up, you... Sorce retorted. Well, might as well...

Now, which was was it to the desk again? Sorce turned in the direction he remembered it, and started to walk...

[any special dice rules for getting to the circulation desk?]

Oisin groaned as he landed, this time....no magic, with a thud near a few students who he simply ignored for the time being. He looked around seeing the familiar human holding what once was a book.

'You lost, Missy'

'No! I bet that we would find it!!'

'Exactly...the human did'

'And we found him with the book'

'Either way...'

'Just shutup! And go get it'

"Shoulda found it first.." He mumbled looking at the young man from a distance, he remembered that magic he used..'Reality'. Oisin sighed as he walked up slowly towards the human. His glamer appeared, more or less damaging his sneaky attempt, and in a seconds time the Maester had pretty much ran through the human, expecting to grab the book..er brick.

Well...he ended up with something heavy.
