Lyle House #2

This is the second Lyle House where you can role play in. It's the same basic lay-out like the Lyle House of the Darkest Powers.

Yay! Time to role-play :]

I got ready for what I knew would be torture. Both parents suddenly disappear and you become an orphan. Just like that. They taught me everything I knew now and I was pretty sure being sent to a house for disturbed teens wasn't good.
It's not good at all.
The nurse just smiled at me through the mirror and I avoided her smile easily by closing my eyes and pretending to sleep. Great, I get sent to a weird house and to bring me there is a happy-go-lucky nurse. Perfect. I turned to look out the window and saw a teenaged guy at the house window peering down at me.
I sat there at the window seat, bored and uninterested. I can't believe I'm still here I thought to myself, for the millionth time. I've been here a year now, that should've been enough proof for them to know I wasn't crazy. Then I noticed a car coming up the driveway. I spotted a girl inside the car. Great, I grimaced, another person. I watched her then had the feeling I could smell her. I shook my head. Maybe I am crazy. Ever since Raemon, I stopped and tried to forget. But I couldn't. Raemon disappeared after helping me. We mixed blood, like a blood pact to be blood brothers even when we weren't. Then he disappeared, 6 years ago. I sighed then sat down on the window seat again. Katherine- Damian-

Waking up, Chase felt he was going to get a major headache later today as he kneaded his neck as he sat up in bed. The sun was up and shining through his window, but that didn't help much. He preferred the night, the time when humans slept and when he ran, well use to anyways. Getting up, he got dressed as he peered out of his room window, seeing a newbie coming to join their little fun house. Or mad house as he and the other "special" kids liked to say. "Today's going to be somewhat interesting..." He murmured.
"You don't say?" The voice came from right behind him, from Kunn, though he wasn't surprised by the Native American girl's appearance. She was an odd one, a girl who's father was turned into a werewolf and she, by some freak chance, was given the male-lined werewolf powers. She was also a Shaman by name alone, not by power."You certainly know how to sneak up on a guy." He said softly back.
"You certainly know how to hold back to the lust female werewolves give off." She retorted, turning to leave the room. "Better get downstairs before Miss Happy comes and wakes you up with cold water again." That wasn't a tease, that was a warning for what has happened probably over a dozen times since he got into this wretched place. The nurses just didn't seem to like him at all. Grudgingly, he left the window, and headed downstairs, Kunn already gone.

"Here we are dear, Lyle House. I'm sure you can manage staying here while we look for your parents. Just be careful about what you say in there, sweetie, and you'll be fine." She gave me a sweet sugary smile and I could tell she felt sorry for me. She kept trying to reassure me I'd be fine here.
I'd probably die the first minute. I thought to myself.
Then I felt the same strange power coursing through me, the powers my mom desrcibed as the powers of a Fallen Angel. I knew I was a witch, but they told me, a day before they disappeared, I wasn't. "You're a Fallen Angel." their voices repeated over and over again, in my head. Fallen Angel. Fallen Angel. Fallen Angel. they chanted over and over again. I shuddered. I followed the nurse then I sensed something. I looked up.
I heard the nurse and saw the brooding expression on the newbie and chuckled. Maybe she won't be so bad. I saw her shudder when the nurse turned around and chuckled again. The new girl followed the nurse, cautiously, then stopped and looked me in the eye. I jumped off the window seat startled. What if she's like us? I thought speculatively, What if... I noticed a fellow werewolf roomate pass and then pondered on the new girl and her special abilities.

Stopping on the first step to the stairs, Chase turned to the sorcerer with a question, "Can you tell if she's a witch?" Usually sorcerers could tell witches from ordinary humans any day, but for some reason the ones Chase has run across with here at the Lyle House can't seem to realize it.

I looked up at the teenager while he was looking at me, so he jumped. I smiled to myself and, unfortunately, that's when the nurse turned and looked up to see who she thought I was smiling at. Then she gave me a look that said, Who the heck is she looking at? I continued walking to the door and she followed.
I heard Chase ask if she was a witch and I shrugged. She didn't really catch me as a witch,but there were millions of them out there. I looked out the window again, only to see that she wasn't there anymore. Meaning she'll probably be inside in a few minutes.

"Wow, for a sorcerer, you suck at you witch-detector abilities." Chase said, looking out the window to see the girl gone.

Downstairs, Kunn stopped in the living room, making herself comfortable in the disgustingly cheery room with her legs propped up on the coffee table even though the nurses hated her doing that. She was waiting for the new girl to appear.

The nurse opened the door and I peered inside, looking for the kid I saw earlier. I knew he was here but instead I saw a Native American looking girl lounging in the living room. I analysed her and that's when I noticed the window-seat teenager peering at me.

I chuckled at his remark. It was true I did suck at telling if they were witches or not, but I had an idea. I walked out and saw her standing there with a look on her face that said I'm gonna die any minute now. Then she looked at me and I felt as if we were connected.

You're a witch too aren't you? Yeah She gave me a relieved smile. Then I guess I won't die of boredom We both smiled.

Purple stands for both Katherine and Damian

**Oh...makes sense. Are they talking with body language though?**

"Hey, kid, who are you flirting with already?" Kunn asked, flipping through an out-of-date magazine, bored out of her mind.
"With Damian, Kunn, our boy's finally growing up." Chase said loudly, coming down the stairs like a run-way model and his blessed haven't-gotten-a-pimple-yet face and arrogant smile. "That means we'll have to set a earlier curfew for him." He got a sharp look from the the nurse, not Miss Happy, but Mrs. A**-hole.
"Right, so Mrs. Daniels, which room is the newbie sleeping in?" Kunn asked, changing the subject quickly before Chase was stuck with peeling the potatoes again. Room, two, your room Kunn. The bitter old woman said with a smile.

**Room Four was already filled, just saying (and was all boys), so I changed her room to Kunn's since Kunn didn't have roommate, hope you're not angry.**

I looked away, embarrased, but without any expression on my face. Inside I was screaming, I am going to die over and over again. I glanced back at the window seat guy and found him on the bottom of the stairs walking to the Native American looking girl. He rubbed her hair a little and then sat on the sofa's armchair. Ahh, so her name is Kunn , I thought to myself. Nice name. I looked at the nurse who smiled as if she was in pain. "Oh right!" The nurse exclaimed. "Everyone! Say hello to Katherine Winters, your new housemate." I glared at the nurse. I already hated her.

I rolled my eyes at Chase then walked down the stairs to ruffle Kunn's hair. I glanced at the newbie who was looking away, probably embarrased. I chuckled under my breath and sat on the armchair. The nurse announced that she'd be in Kunn's room. Then she surprised us all by saying,"Oh right! Everyone! Say hello to Katherine Winters, your new housemate." I glanced at Katherine wondering if she was thinking the same thing I was. When I saw her glaring at the nurse, I burst out laughing.

Jabbing Damian in the side as he laughed, Kunn said in a low voice, "Don't ever pet me again, got that?" She didn't like it when someone petted her, it made her feel like some human's dog. Chase stifled a laugh as Mrs. A**-hole turned to look at them. What was so funny? She asked, a small frown on her usually forced smiling face.
"Damian found out that Kunn still reads Highlights is all." Chase saved any of them from answering as he came over to her, pulling out a Highlights magazine from the couch, making it appear it was from her lap. She growled at him, he smiled back.

Great, people look at my face and laugh. I thought to myself, still glaring at the nurse, whose back was facing me. I heard the highlights remark though, and it cheered me up. My glare disappeared and I shifted away from the nurse where I could see everyone.

"I didn't mean to offend you Kunn," I whispered in resonse to her jab. She was a werewolf, and it kinda hurt. "I meant it in a brotherly way. But if that's not how you see it, I'll stop." I smiled at her apolegetically then looked at Mrs Daniels. "Mrs D?" She hated it when I called her that, but somehow, I always accidentally forget. She turned to me, obviously not a happy camper, and snapped, "What?" I gave her a teacher's pet smile. "I'm sorry I laughed. Highlights is just old." Mrs D nodded then left.

No wonder you all hate her Katherine's voice penetrated Damian's thoughts, which was good, because he was going to start laughing again. Aww, she's not that bad. Damian looked at Katherine. Katherine was raising her eyebrows at the nurse. Damian guffawed.

Once Mrs. A**-hole was gone, Chase broke out laughing, falling on the couch next to Kunn's. "What an uptight b*tch." He rolled to his side, seeing Kunn's face in a frown. "Awe, come one wolf-girl, you know, Dame did only mean it in a brotherly way, no sense in being mad."
"I'll be mad if I want to, and after still when I punch in that pretty-boy face of yours." She didn't raise a fist or her voice, but after living with her for more than a year, he knew her threat was as true as the sky was blue.
"Okay, okay, jeez, take a joke." He said, turning his attention quickly to the newbie, "So Kat, you what I think you are, or do I have to guess because it sure seems like you are what you seem you are the way you're making Dame go all moony after you." His sentence was so annoyingly confusing that he made Kunn snort, which was something he was getting better at, like some sort of acceptance by the only female of his kind that he knew.

The first thing I did was laugh at that b!tch remark . The second thing I did was laugh harder when he said Dame. "Yeah, I'm a witch. And no, Dame," I struggled to hold back my laugh when I said Dame. "isn't mooning over me." I glanced at the window seat guy for approval.

I made a peace sign at Kunn, and laughed when Chase called me Dame. I feel like an old eighties girl now. I chuckled to myself. "Yeah, Kat's right. Oh wait. I forgot my manners. I'm Damian. This," I gestured to Kunn, "is our friend Kunn." I pointed a finger at the other werewolf. "That, is Chase."

"Everyone here knows what everyone else is right?" Katherine asked. "Basically, yeah. Besides that b*tch there. And some other happy go lucky freaks." Damian replied. Katherine smiled in relief. "That makes this easier then."

Chase rolled his eyes, but he couldn't help smile at Kat. He meant Dame as in a nickname for Damian because Dam would sound like he was cursing.
Oh, by the way, my fully name's Kuckunniwi Kiwidinok, and if you're wondering, Chase's last name is André." Getting up, she stretch her back like a feral animal, giving them all a glance over her shoulder at them.
