What I must ask, as a complaint here, why exactly, when referred to as "British", do most people think that the subject is English? Of course, those from the United Kingdom are British, however in Britain (UK) there lies two minor countries, England and Scotland. Those from England are english, but, what a scottish gal like myself can't understand is, where on earth did Scotland go when the subject of Britain came up?!

Those from England are english, but, what a scottish gal like myself can't understand is, where on earth did Scotland go when the subject of Britain came up?! That's a good question, lass. Same thing happened to People born in the American Countries other than the United States. Sure, if they couldn't be called "American" what would they be called?. It's as if China declared that all Asians should be called Chinese.
