A birth in the family.

This is for the Birth RP of *Washu* and Wen's new baby.  

[*Washu*]

Sitting at her terminal in her labs *Washu* furiously types away. Determined to get her current project done before... Well before the baby comes. She knows its getting close to time. True she probably should be taking it easy, preparing for the birth, sittting around waiting. Thats not her style though is it?

The closer it gets the more nervous she gets. When shes nervous she works. Helps to take her mind off of things. Plunging herself into subatomic equations and researching subspace anomolies. What better way to do it?

As she sits she suddnely feels a small pain which causes her to pause for a second. Shrugging it off as nothing she continues her work. its not long after that another pain hits her. This time her pause is much longer. "Not now. I'm almost finished." She loks down and lightly rubs her belly. "Please little one. Wait just abit longer" She starts her work up once again.

The little one obviously is not about to wait for Momma to finish her work and she lets her know it. "Oooh! I guess your not going to let me finsh are you?" She hits save on the keyboard and begins to get up when her water breaks. "Oh dear. You certainly are ready little one. Better let daddy know" She pulls out a small device and pushes the button. Beeping WEndigo.

Walking around the kitchen, Wendigo is checking things to make sure they have enough. Muttering to himself "Enough? Heck, we have enough for an army. But, it never hurts to make sure. Purified water....check. Formula....check. Comfort food for mommy.....check & double-check."

Sitting down on the edge of his desk, Wen glances around the kitchen seeing nothing but noticing everything. "Well, I guess it's gettin close to time. Woo, gonna be a dad soon. I never thought I'd be someone's husband, let alone a dad.....and here I am about to be both. I think mom would be......"

Right about this time, the little beeper Washu gave him starts to go off. His eyes get wider & he almost drops the little device. "Oh god, here it is, here we go." Dropping the clipboard on his desk, Wen quickly turns & sprints out the door.  

[*Washu*]

*washu* tries to make her way to the door of the lab. It would be so much easier to port but she's avoided taht while pregnant. No need to risk it. After a few steps she is hit with another labor pain. Leaning against the counter she breathes in deeply and lets it our slowly.

"ok little one. I don't believe we are going to make it to the hospital." She beeps Wendigo once more. "Where is that man!!"

Not wanting to wait much longer she sends a thought his way even though it has only been seconds since her page. {Wen hun! Whats keeping you??} She also takes a momnet to send one to Sajhiri {SOrry to intrude Lady. But I may need your assistance. It seems the little one doesn't want to wait any longer}  

[Sajhiri]

Sajhiri was standnig in the doorway of Rebecca's room, tapping her foot on the floor, arms crossed over her chest, as she supervised her and *Washu*'s daughter cleaning up the utter mess she'd made in there. Every few seconds the child would look over her shoulder and attempt a pout at her mother.

"Don't give me that look, young lady. I gave you 3 whole days to clean up your room. Now you're not going to the mall with Saedare until it's done." Sajhiri said sternly.

Rebecca sighed and went back to cleanup. "Yes Momma," she intoned melodramatically.

"Remind me to sign you up for acting cla--aaaaah!" Sajhiri stopped in mid sentence as *Washu*'s message arrived. "Oh dear, your other mother is having the baby it looks like. SAEDARE!" Jhiri hollered.

Her adopted Aduthule daughter poked her head in, looking concerned. "Mother?" she asked.

"Make sure Bex cleans this up before you go out, I have to go tend to *Washu* and our soon to be new family member..."

With that, the woman skittered out and headed for the laboratory.  

[Wendigo29]

*Flying out of the kitchen, Wen vaults the bar & crashes into a table* Ouch, crap.....dumbass, you put that table there yourself.

*Picking himself up, he heads towards Washu's lab, making sure he has everything* Suitcase is on the bar, keys in the pocket....ok.

*Grasping the doorhandle to the lab, Wen opens the door harder than he planned & bonked himself in the head. Shaking this off, he heads inside to assist his wife* Sorry darlin, a table & a door got in my way. Let's get you gone, M'Lady.  

[*Washu*]

Still leaning against the table when wen arrives breathing deeply and letting it out slowly she looks to her husband. "I don't think we'll have time for that dear. I called Sajhiri as well. I think our little one wants to come out now."

She groans with another contraction and slowly slumps to the floor. "Better get some supplies from the medical cabinet."  

[Wendigo29]

*As Wen drops to the floor beside Washu, he replies, talking rather fast and almost running his words together*

"Su..supplies, right. Er, what should I grab? Arn't I supposed to boil some water or something? Do you need blankets & pillows? You didn't hurt yourself just now, did you? Is it hot in here, are you hot, my goodness it's kinda hot."  

[*Washu*]

"Just bring the kit." She almost yells through gritted teeth. "And where is Sajhiri? Did you see her? I think we may need her assistance."  

[Wendigo29]

No love, sorry. I haven't seen her yet, but she should be here shortly.

I have the kit, what do you want me to do? *Wen asks as he clears off a table & preps it as a makeshift bed*

*Hoping he has enough blankets & pillows on the table, Wen gently lifts Washu up & lays her on it.*

Ok love, just...um....try to relax.  

[*Washu*]

"Relax!?!?! RELAX!?!?! I'd like to see you relax in a similiar situation!" She nevertheless tries it anway. rather unsucessfully. "I don't think it will be long. We may have to do it without Sajhiri."  

[Sajhiri]

Just then the door banged open and a panting seraph skittered in. 'Shu? Wen? I'm here? You Ok?" Jhiri slid over to *Washu*'s side, gasping for air. "Sorry it took so long...There was traffic..."  

[*Washu*]

"Traffic?" She chuckles slightly interrupted by her next contraction. after getting through it and catching her breath. "Good timing though. The little one is more then ready to greet the world"

*Standing to the side, much like the proverbial bump-on-the-log, Wen tries to stay out of the way*

Um....uh....w-what can I do?
