I'm going to complile a list of motivational music that gets people up and moving. It'll be great for people who love to listen to music when they're exercising.

So, what songs (title and artist) do you love to listen to when you work out?

I'll start off with my favourite two songs that get me off the couch:

LIST:
________________________________________

Poison - Groove Coverage
Fighter - Christina Aguliera
Tell Me Baby - Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Every Time We Touch - Cascada

I love Every Time We Touch by Cascada for that kind of stuff... there's so much energy in that song I just want to jump up and down!

Nelly Furtado was singing her newest song (I forget the name of it) on Jay Leno the other night. It was relly good and I usually tape Jay Leno since I'm not always able to see it and kept on replaying her song and exercising to it. I'd like close my eyes and be doing a bunch of pushups and squats. It's a really good song and she had a really great performance that night. 3nodding

Speed Over Beethoven by Rose

It's from DDR, but I'm pretty sure you can just buy it from iTunes. I don't know though. I haven't looked for it.

Oh, I am a real junkie for J-Rock so usually I work out to music from Plastic Tree (majooor love), Kagrra, Nightmare and Dir en Grey.

But you know what? Lately all I really want to listen to when I run is stuff off the Californication and Stadium Arcadium albums from Red Hot Chili Peppers (they are my all-time favorite band). Nothing gets me more energized than 'Snow (Hey Oh)' and 'Dani California'

It shouldn't matter what you listen to. You should be pumped by the fire inside you!! With that being said I listen to anything it doesnt matter to me.
I'd prefer heavy metal but i can get into it with mozart, folk music, classic rock, classic country, techno, old skool rap, hip hop, R&B, ect..... Although I refuse to lift, run, stretch, jump rob ect.... to pop music. thats a little thing that makes me tick.

It depends on the exercise I'm doing. For weightlifting I prefer classic and southern rock, if it's cardio/areobics I prefer modern rock and some fast-beat pop (if it isn't annoying), and for martial arts stuff, I like some fight music like "Down with the Sickness", "Break Stuff" and "Bodies". Oh, and "Duel of the Fates" from Star Wars... 4laugh

I usually like to listen to some music without lyrics when running. But it does really depend on what I'm doing at the time. Rob Zombie and Shiny Toy Guns are good
