Ariadne

Ariadne edged herself further out of the water even after Owan lifted her out. She looked to him and breathed in deeply, she could hardly believe that she was about to do this. She calmed herself and then after Owan cut his finger she raised her hand and grasped his wrist and guided his finger to her mouth. Gently she closed her lips over the tiny wound and her tongue licked away the beaded blood. There was not much to it, but she licked his finger a few more times to be sure before she released his finger and swallowed. At first everything was calm and silent and her eyes widened with worry, had they done something wrong? "Owan I-" Ariadne started to speak and suddenly stopped as she felt a stab of pain rip through her being. She gasped as her heart slammed in her chest and then pain was all she knew. Her body went rigid and she cried out in pain. But her body was quick to change, her long tail shrunk and then formed into two legs it took all of a couple minutes for this to be done and she now lay slack in Owan's arms gasping for air.

Owan held her through the transformation watching in rapt facination, then as she fell slack in his arms he carefully checked her pulse. "Are you alright?" he asked softly as he pulled her into his lap so if she needed help calming her breathing he could help with an old technique he'd learned in school.

Ariadne blinked her eyes open and looked at at Owan as he pulled her into his lap and slowly she smiled to him. "Yes.... I'm fine now." Ariadne said and lifted her head and looked down at her legs and to her toes which she wiggled a little, and her smile grew, glad that it had worked. She then looked back up at Owan a bubbling laughter escaped her lips and she hugged him tightly.

Owan let out a sigh of relief as she opened her eyes and responded. He even followed her gaze, admiring her shapely legs, before he found himself being hugged tightly, his arms returning the hug in equal amounts of love and excitement. "So, I brought some clothes for you, seeing as well, you might need them..." he said with a slight chuckle and blush reaching for the clothes he'd brought. "Sorry their nothing spectacular, but I figured it was better than the alternative." he added continuing to blush as his mind was obviously thinking of said alternative.

Ariadne had a rush of excitement coursing through her and she grinned as he hugged her back and then slowly released when he mentioned clothing. For a mermaid it was natural to not want to wear anything but she knew humans wore clothing. And the night she had turned human and ventured into cities she had, had to steal clothing. But she wasn't going to share that bit of information. It hardly mattered now. She saw him blush and touched his cheek gently. "Thank you Owan, these will do fine." Ariadne said reached out and took the clothing from him and then moved to stand. She was wobbly on her feet at first but then she pulled the pants and his shirt on before turning to him and smiled.

Owan blushed as he watched her change, doing his best to not watch, but still finding himself glancing back at her. "Well, doing fine, is all well and fine, but I was thinking of... maybe going out with you to find some new clothes, a personal wardrobe for when your well walking on your legs." he said trying to take his mind off what he'd seen. "So, that sound good to you Ari?" he asked with a smile.

Ariadne looked to Owan and she breathed in deeply and sighed softly. She worried when he offered to take her to buy her own clothes. She knew clothes cost money and she didn't want to be a burden for Owan by letting him buy her things. "Oh Owan... you don't need too. I will be fine with these." Ariadne said gently.

"No no, It's fine really, I can get you whatever you want. Trust me, I've got the funds necessary to get you a wardrobe without bankrupting me." Owan said gently giving her shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "So what do you say, we'll get you some nice clothes, for going out, or just relaxing around the house, or whatever.." he said with a smile knowing he had more than enough money for whatever she might want.

Ariadne sighed but then slowly nodded in agreement, the idea of having something of her own was very appealing. "Okay fine, you win." Ariadne said but thn smiled to him and stepped closer, in human form Owan almost towered over her tiny form..

Owan smiled some before giving her a hug. "Well then, lets get going, We'll probably also pick up some food while were out, cause we might need some.. but we'll do that after we get the clothes, and maybe eat out tonight." Owan said practically beaming he was so happy. "Might need to get you measured he said off handedly as he broke the hug and went to get the keys to the boat, returning shortly. "Shall we?" he asked with a smile.

Ariadne hugged him back and watched him go and fetch the keys and when he came back she nodded and took his hand, she was always wobbly for the first little bit after changing forms so she used her hold on Owan to steady herself. "Measured? For what?" Ariadne asked innocently, she had only ever stole what was nessecary to cover herself, normally a party dress that she could walk around in and easily discard when she left back to the sea.

"Measure you for your clothes, and your under clothes... "Owan said trying not to make it to obvious he was thinking of her very definite lack of underwear, swallowing some as he unlocked the door stepping out with Ariadne, and leading her to the boat. being careful to make sure she didn't trip and fall into the water, before leading her into the captains cabin. " Take a seat, and I'll get us to the mainland." Owan said as he untied the moorings, and raised the anchor, before starting the boat, and heading towards the mainland, where he'd first met the mermaid who now sat near him.

Ariadne smiled as they walked down to the boat. She blinked as she looked over the vessel remembering the last time she had been on the boat, this journey she was sure would be more pleasant. "Underclothes? Oh... like bras and panties?" Ariadne asked gently she sat in the seat next to the chair Owan was steering in.

Owan blushed deeply at her frankness and nodded before speaking. "Yes precisely, well, unless your thinking of not getting any, which is fine." he said trying not to think about that to much, but finding it difficult.

Ariadne now realized this must be a uncomfortable subject to talk about and she became quiet and in stead looked out at the sea. This way certainly was a different way of looking at things. "How far until the main land?" Ariadne asked gently now trying to make a change of topics.
