QA - Confusion runs rampant around here... whee

Muse - ...wait, they come with TUTORIALS?! xd !!! I didn't know. I just plugged mine in and started messing with it. I guess that might explain a bit. o.O

I think I've only done ONE CG piece completely from scratch with my tablet...and it sucked, anyway. xp I seriously need to have a pencil in my hand to make anything look remotely human. Or physically possible, for that matter.

And, PSH! That's lovely work, especially for a first-time-tablet piece! I think you'll do just fine with your new toy. 3nodding

Oh, and for the record, everyone:

Tablets hate widescreen monitors. My tablet took one look at my new laptop and promptly went, "LYKE, OMFG WUT IZ DAT?!?! EYE REFYUSE TO WURK!! ZOMG!1!11failure!!"

Yes. Exactly like that.

AD>> xd Well yeah ... if I want them to be speaking in their native language. But I need to get these students to speak ENGLISH. lol

And, last I checked, I can't come in and scream at them, "ENGLISH MOTHER F*****S! DO YOU SPEAK IT!?"

Muse>> Pretty picture ... Mmm ...

So ... I learned today what it means when a Chinese man is wearing a green hat or is referred to as wearing a green hat ...

It means his wife is with another man. surprised

Wamuh~Woowoo! I knew my refusal to overwork myself would inspire someone, someday. xd
If I had a tablet, I would have been flying through commissions. I get lazy uploading and resizing. xD;;
Har, pull up a seat. There's always room in LazyTown. :'DD
*Shot for use of children's tv show.*
Oooh, I like it! :0 The pose is all wooshy and pretty. x)

Acksul~ Ebay the heat away.~ xd You know someone's tried it. Heck, they sold grandpa's ghost on ebay. xDD

AD~ Roffle. I wish my computer was as sassy as yours. ):

Ash~ Really? Wow...the more you know. o_o
Btw, your avitar wins my vote for bestestthingOFDUHYEAR. heart

Wait, I might have thought up an excuse now. The two stories that have been battling it out in my head have merged into one, and the only issue left to resolve is the one character roaming about. But I refuse to just get rid of her because she's nifty, and what happens with another character. Once I've got that set, maybe, just MAYBE I'll start drawing it all. W00T.

But I've suffered headaches. Hundreds of characters. GUH.

Of course, the age-old problem remains. I refuse to draw compy-style. However, my handwriting (while legible) isn't borderline calligraphy to put it nicely. But typing text in is always really weird... The bubbles and font seem too starch next to scanned ink.

Any suggestions?

Chibi Koji - ...I halfass did some back-reading. Theif. I happen to work for Wal-Mart. I enjoy making thieves cry. *throws a rock* The amount of money we lose to what's stolen counts in whether or not we get a bonus. Thanks tons. I could continue to rant, but there's not much point. *throws another rock* stare

At least Yume claims to have learned her lesson. xp

Yume - As I remember. =P

All the tablet talk. gonk I shall not succumb!

axel>> I still cheat with the tradigital use of pencil drawing scanned in. I couldn't draw it outright on the tablet. Ho sh%$! Are there people who can? eek I did all of the colouring with my tablet though. I did one piece of it at a time too, starting with skin and face. I found a cool leather texture brush too, but the grain size it too big. I must learn this thing called PhotoShop CS2. confused New toys are fun, but I bet they are more fun when you know how they work! whee

AD>> LOL! Yep, my tablet came with a long and boring Flash tutorial... rolleyes I did force myself (and I strongly emphasize FORCED) to watch it despite the fact that I'd rather count carpet fibers.

Yeah... Old habits die hard. I need my #2 too. Tradigitalists rule! Fear the #2! scream

And you liked my alien angel? eek Thanks! Maybe I'll fix her eyes by moving them close together. Now there's something you can't do with a #2. And the dress... Damn, I get lazy!

Ashram>> Thank you! heart I have a question though... Why would a man want everyone to know that his wife was with another man? eek I'd be devasted enough without making it public knowledge. gonk

Koji>> Yay! Inspire us into unconsciousness! Being horizontal and scanning my eyelids for holes is my favourite pasttime. Gosh I wish I lived in Mexico where they can do that every afternoon without guilt. sweatdrop Stupid work getting in my way of my qt with my sofa... stare

QA>> Sorry to hear about your headaches. sweatdrop *Hugs* Have you scanned the fonts on the web? I have one called Manga or Anime (gee, I better take a looksee...) that might be perfect for your artwork. Try Googling it maybe. I will try to find it for you.

I had to save it on my disks when I had my machine in the shop. I'm so organized... sweatdrop Yes, I have that particular font on disk on my desk on a spindle with a cover. Looks really neat and organized. But on that spindle lurks 50 disks with a billion files... What? I should have marked them? But I did!!! With a Sharpie, no less. But still... Did I think to write "Fonts" on the limited spaces of any of those disks... Erm... redface

I WILL find it for you though... I think you'll like it. 3nodding

Wendy - Rock! I'd love to see. And even if I don't use it on a comic, I always love new fonts! heart *makes LJ icons when my computer works*

But even with a decent font...how to do the bubbles? I can hand draw them in, but then there's possible problems of sizing. I may leave too much, or too little space. I used to just draw the pages, leaving areas where bubbles would fit and do them on the comp...but the talk bubbles I have on program don't always satisfy me. *picky*

One day, my perfectionist side will be my undoing. xd

No rush on finding the font, though. I know what you mean with the CDs. I stopped counting after 25, but neither music CDs nor data CDs really get marked. Sometimes I'll draw a small symbol, which will help me differentiate, but that's about it. And I'm still missing at least two CDs. sweatdrop

Oi...actually starting this comic will take some time. The first chapter will have to deal with a lot of backgrounds...my weak point. Three boys, moving to a house where they'll live as they go through college. I have to go from the car, to the outside of a house no one's lived in for a few years, and them go inside to find out someone's trashed the place since the one's Aunt died years ago (and left the house in the one's name). Biggest issue will be how to draw the inside of a house that's both got furniture and things tossed all over (I should record an ep of "To Catch a Thief"), and severe water damage. (Don't ask.)

Oh, and the headaches. Yay excedrin! But thankies. *hugs*

Red Bull tastes like electrified dog piss, but it gets you through a two-job day. xp

Ashram - You would be my HERO if you walked in and yelled that at a room full of extremely surprised Chinese students. xd

Koji - Everything I own is sassy, damn it. Not a single electronic/vehicle I've ever owned has been male. They've all been sassy, overly emotional, completely unpredictable females.

QA - Give in to the tablet...

Muse - You do not know the meaning of lazy. Trust me.

Lang - Just get a new one, ho. Give up already.

Qiiuaye~ gonk !

... cry
I'm not trying to be arrogant, but I'm not gonna lie. The only lesson I learned was to not be so sloppy, and never wait in a long checkout line. sweatdrop I'm pretty sure it wasn't your Walmart, though, and I wouldn't have if I had known it'd affect anyone I knew. x:
Urm akcksjhbgds. U:

Ash~ I'll totally vote for you, then! Just let me know! x)
If ya want, you can borrow my bat for a lil' while. :3
Isn't that shell underneath your golden leaflets a helmet? x_x
Umm...Commando Chomp'nMunch. xd

Wamuh~ Roffle, I like how you worded that. Think I'll steal that next time I fall asleep in class... x)
Har, hardly. xD I don't know who made that 'tradition' up, but I've never witnessed mass afternoon sleeping before. o.o And I've been in deep not-lame-border-city Mexico. x.x

Lang~ I drew something for my bootsy proportioned drawing thingie
and it kinda looked like your avi, thar. D:

EDIT: AD~ Well, you could fix your car. They have these, um, apendages you can buy for them now. But then, that could lead to testosterone problems. x:

Muse> xD There are a lot of artists who draw on the with the tablet! I know I do... mostly because I'm too lazy to scan things... >3>;;

But then, I used to draw with a mouse... so I'm used to drawing digitally. XO Though, a tablet is great, it not only helps you with digital work but with traditional work too. @__@;;

QA>> I'll find it. I had it just before the great crash, so it shouldn't be too far. I love fonts too. I try to collect the whole set. blaugh

And yes...join us...buy the tablet... xd

Lang>> Sorry to hear about your tablet breaking. Are they really fragile? Should I set up a shield with a 30m perimeter alarm system? eek What happened to it??? gonk If you haven't tried the Intuos 3, I'd recommend it. The buttons on the tablet itself serves nothing but decorative purposes for me yet though. rolleyes I cover mine in paper to keep it from scrathing and collecting dust/crud. Is there such a thing as a clear plastic cover for these?

AD>> Electrified dog piss... eek Yeah...I better stock up on some of that. xp

You mean there are people lazier than me? eek My mother will never believe it. xd I knew there was a reason I requested to join here... It's like group therapy for slackers. xd So what you're saying is Artist = Lazy?? I like it!

Koji>> Yeah, just tell them you're an official Quality Control Officer for eyelid inspection. Feel free to do a thorough job too. I mean... a job worth doing and all that rot. xd

I thought they had siestas in Mexico in the afternoons due to the intense heat. I looked it up for you, and I was wrong. It's done all over the frickin' world...accept Canada, eh? eek http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siesta Yay! heart I'm gonna move to China where 2 -3 hour naps are a constitutional right! xd

Seth>> I love my #2s. First I need to learn to master this beast and figure out which button does what before I ever try to draw with it. It looks harmless enough, but I was really disappointed to see that there is no degree appointment at the end of the tutorial. I used to clean up and colour with the mouse. My hand was always in this god-awful claw shape that made me writhe in pain, but I was too stupid stubborn to stop. Ouch! I had to buy the tablet. I like that everything is cordless in case that cursed mouse should go missing some day... ninja
