He would never admit it, but it was actually pretty nice snuggling with Abel. He knew the man was only doing it because he was upset last night. Still, he found it very comforting. He was embarrassed to admit he liked behind held and the smell of his natural musk. It was nothing like Kieran who always masked his own under a thick layer of cologne. In his half-awake state he drifted closer to the man. Not ten minutes later he awoke, fully aware of his actions and whom he was trying to get closer to. Pulling away, Jakob blushed and greeted the man. From the corner of his eye Abel pushed back his hair and mumbled a greeting as well. Yawning he stretched his arms over his head and twisted a bit to help wake himself up while Abel stood and walked to the bathroom.
While he took care of things, Jakob glanced towards the clock on the night stand. It read a quarter to nine. They still had some time until he needed to check out, but he would rather leave sooner than later. He had no need to stay much longer. Pushing back the covers, Jakob stood up as well. He slowly went about collecting his things. Luckily he didn't bring much. Just some unopened snacks and a few personal items. While Abel was still in the bathroom, he quickly packed away the bottle of lube as well as the toy. He picked the plastic bag up from the floor and threw the snacks back into it as well as the forgotten drinks from the fridge. He then moved to pick up his pants and slid them up. He was just about dressed and ready to go, all that was left was his shoes and to Abel to finish his business. Jakob moved back to the bed, sitting on a corner as he picked up the remote while he waited.

Two weeks came and went since he left the hotel. In that time he had gone home and to bed, telling Cornelius he was feeling a bit sick to avoid going over to his ex's house. Jakob spent the first few days in bed at home avoiding everyone and everything. He was too depressed to really care about work. By the end of the first week he knew he couldn't avoid it much longer. He would leave the house just before sunset, wander the streets for hours on end, and come home before sunrise. Cornelius didn't need to know he watching Abel. So long as he appeared to be doing his job, it was all that mattered.
Jakob did miss Kieran, more than he liked to admit. He really thought they had something. But then he had to go and ******** everything. Every time he picked up his phone he saw the awful things he said and the phrase that ended it all. Each time he looked at it, he felt more and more shitty for even sending it. On the lonelier nights he would text Abel. Their texts weren't all that much, just a few hey's and checking in with one another. Not enough to really ease his loneliness, but enough that he didn't feel as though he were as alone.
Into the second week Jakob had had his fill of sulking. He needed to get out, do something. He didn't have to talk to people just being around them should suffice. Grabbing his wallet and keys, Jakob walked out of the house and into the night. He moved swiftly through the quiet neighborhood before coming to the main streets where he was able to hail a cab. Sliding into the backseat, he instructed the driver to head in the direction of the club.
About fifteen minutes later he pulled up. Paying his fare, he exited the cab and stared up at the building. He was a little nervous. There was no way of knowing if Abel or Kieran would be here tonight. After all, this was sort of their club first. He had only started frequenting it after he started his job with Abel. Walking past the long line, he used Cornelius's name as he always did. The bouncer let him through easily and he walked into the throng of thrashing bodies. As far as he could see the club was packed. Jakob weaved through the crowd until he was able to make his way to the bar. At last, he reached one corner and waved down the bartender. Ordering his usual, he waited.
Turning to look back at the crowd there was no sign of Abel and Kieran. The bartender tapped his shoulder and he soon turned around to see his drink. Smiling politely, he paid but did not move. Instead he moved down the bar so he was out of the way. He sipped his drink and watched people having fun. A few minutes passed before a tall, blonde guy came up to him. They talked a little, but it was nothing serious...at least for him. Jakob smiled and flirted, how he missed this sort of attention. Almost a shame that this guy looked nothing like Kieran, at least then he could pretend. All the same, he was polite and gave him his attention as they spoke.

In the half hour he was there, he was already cornered by another person. He indulged the man by smiling and flirting a bit. It didn't mean anything. He found the man boring and kind of dumb. The way he talked was irritating and he couldn't help focusing on the blemishes of his way. Jakob had always been picky about his men, but after Kieran it seemed as though it was going to be impossible to find somebody else. Not that he had plans of moving on so quickly. He was nowhere near that emotionally.
Taking a few sips now and again, he probed the guy with random questions to make it seem as though he were actually interested. He wasn't sure how much longer he could keep this up. This guy was awful. In what world did he think he had a chance with him? Or better yet, what made him think that he would even considering going out with him. After talking another ten minutes, Jakob knew he needed to make some kind of excuse. He thought about telling him he needed to use the bathroom but feared the man might try to join him.
Looking over the guys shoulder he still saw no sign of Kieran or Abel. He hoped they were both alright. But he didn't know for sure, Abel wasn't much for conversation whereas Kieran wouldn't contact him at all. Sighing, he downed the rest of his drink. The clear liquid burned his throat as it trickled down. Setting the glass on the bar he then turned to the man. "Alright, well this has been fun but I can't anymore....you're boring the absolute s**t out of me. So could you maybe, ******** off?" he said just loud enough for the man to hear.
Jakob watched as the man's face changed. His smile dropping and brows furrowing. Before it even happened, he saw him raise his fist. The force behind it was enough to make him fall into the bars, knees buckled and just barely managing to stay standing. <******** you, f*****t." the guy said angrily before spitting in his direction. Jakob forced his feet to stand properly and pulled himself together. "Yeah, sure I'm the f*****t but you hit on me." he muttered under his breath. Looking towards the bartenders, he flagged one down and asked for some ice. While he waited, he checked himself to make sure everything was still intact.

Jakob didn't even notice Kieran as he looked on to his exchange with the other man. In fact he wasn't really paying attention to anyone else. For the moment it was fun to just tease the man, but it was quickly becoming boring. Jakob was soon punched for his words. He took his time pulling himself together and requesting ice. While he waited he went over his mental checklist. Teeth were all there, jaw still worked, nothing broken, wrist was slightly banged but probably just from hitting the counter.
As he stood there a voice from behind made him tense. He knew that voice. How he longed to hear it these past two weeks. Forcing himself to keep a straight face, he turned to face Kieran. "Only when it's not sucking c**k." he replied. He had noticed the slight teasing in Kieran's tone, it worried him. When he thought about facing Kieran he imagined yelling, arguing, maybe a little violence. Not teasing.
Behind him, the bartender tapped him on the shoulder. Turning, he was handed a small ziplock bag with ice inside it. Jakob thanked him and handed over a ten, even though it was far too much for some ice. He didn't care. He turned his attention back towards Kieran as he lightly pressed the bag against his cheek. "So, how's it going?" he asked casually.
