Laitue - You didn't have to see it. Although one can suppose the imagination would make it worse...
I know they can, another reason I don't like dolphins. xd They keep ramming the shark in the belly till it keels over.
I love old keys. heart I've got an old-fashioned replica key set of all the styles of basic skeleton keys. xd
Yume - Nothing shall ever replace my yeti. *snuggles the yeti*
At work, some time ago they moved the comp to the other side of the register. Right by the thing that deactivates security tags, which is basically a giant magnet. Since then, the comp's been much slower and having trouble. I finally decided to say it was probably because of the magnet.
The Department Manager didn't believe that magnets can damage hard drives. xd But then he thought about it, and realized that at his house, he's got a speaker with a giant magnet on it next to his comp, and that has lots of trouble. But he's still not sure if I'm just pulling his leg. rofl
Nyome - I have to agree with the Aiptek statement. The reason my friend had gotten a new one was because the pen cracked. His girlfriend convinced him I wouldn't care, because it didn't think it was right to give it to me with a cracked pen. *doesn't care* xd As for how well it works, *shrugs* my comp's stupid anyway so I can't tell. I'll hardly ever use it, and wanted a large size anyway, so it's perfect for me. surprised

Darkish - I'm not sure college is the "best experience of your life," unless he means the free time and summer vacation bits, because that's all I really miss. I do NOT miss drunken frat boys, overachieving geeks or frisbees. Damn the frisbees.
Nyome - I do hear a lot of bad things about Dell, but I hear a lot of bad things about every brand. I have to rely on personal experience, I guess. And PC World magazine. *geek*
I dled Microsoft Office off of isohunt, I think. Not too hard.
I'm keeping my silly little Wacom. heart It gives me trouble every now and then, but it's pretty old.
Laitue - Happy Gaia birthday, you old coot!!
QA - I SO want to rig my room with giant magnets so if anyone ever tries to remove my computer (say, in the case of being investigated for murder), it would wipe clean. So...um...no one could use my massive collection of...fandom...against me... o.O (I watch too much Law & Order.)

@Laitue----- Eek, congrats on three years! ^__^
@QA----- Ahh, well it's good that you aren't really picky and don't use it all the time. I use mine almost everyday, so I care a lot about the quality difference in tablets.
The pen still works even though it's cracked? Hmm.. well, the weirdness of Aipteks I suppose.
I think tablets are good at about a 6x8 or 9x12 range. > < when I was debating about getting my new one, I read a lot of comments from seasoned artists saying that anything above a 9 x 12 is just there for show, and can actually be hindersome because it's so tedious to move your arm/wrist so much. I had gotten so used to just twitching my wrist to move my little 4 x 5 that when I got my new tablet I forgot how to move my arm. XD
@AD----- Hmm, that's true. Can't please everyone, after all. PC world magazine? Aww, you're such a cute geek. XD
But downloading it just clutters my computer more. I'm not sure if I should risk the key cracks though. x_x;
Wacoms, especially the graphire series, aren't really meant to last /that/ long. I think the longest i've heard of was 5 years. But they're good tablets, and last much longer and better than any other brand.
@Koji----- THE SUNSHINE PEOPLE. 4laugh
T'chaa. I got it in Japan! 11000+ Yen, but it's still much cheaper than getting it off of J-list or anything like that. :/
It is so cute omg > w< heart
I have a kiki plushie too. :'D

Yume - You'd most likely only need to rig the door and window frames. If you rig every wall, your comp would have issues. It wouldn't even be that difficult to hide magnets in the frames. If you remove the top panel of wood on the inside, where the matisse lock goes into, you could easily cram a large magnet in there. Maybe even an electro-magnet if you tie it in with the electrical wires normally strung through the walls.
I take strange things apart in boredom.
Koji - I know. o_o; There was even this long investigation where they were finding dolphin bodies on the shore where ribs were cracked so badly it would puncture inner organs and thus the cause of death. Environmentalists were worried it was stuff from boat props to underwater radar. Everything was sloely eliminated until they came to the conclusion...dolphins were killing other dolphins. Fighting, for fun, any old reason.
o_o;;;
Nyome - It's only cracked along the side, not the tip. The pen, actually, works quite well. The only issues I've had with it so far was basic naiveté on how it works in the first place, and a comp that needs a serious upgrade.
And it was free, so all's well.
As for the size, I'm accustomed to regular paper. Granted, most of my doodles aren't that large, but there are some that can be. (I have one piece that's bigger than my scanner. xd ;; ) Add to that, the tablet's about as big as the screen, so my hand can actually move in relative to what I'm seeing.
Besides, I'm a little tramp about "space". When I draw, I don't just clear off the room I need. Everything gets shoved off of the entire table. sweatdrop (I STILL draw by hand.) Supplies are kept in seperate, wheeled "carts" with several drawers and organized top.
To each their own and all that jazz.
****** Lookie! Finally something in my sig. xd I didn't draw it, commission. I might wander that section of Gaia and buy some more. I saw Nyome's shop! surprised

Nyo: Yeah, I'm procrastinating a lot right now.. I'll do my research at the end of the week.. or try to. XD Yeah, the rest of your life things.. I just can't stand the pressure anymore sometimes, I snap. XD And then.. uh.. people have to stay out of my way. x3; But yeah, my dad is one of those guys who thinks I can't get into university despite good grades, he worries too much about the SAT scores or something. Granted, mine's not the best out there, but it's not terrible. So meh, it's a bit of a downer I guess, it's like those "asian" parents never believe in you or something unless you're the best you can be.
Bleh. HP scanners. The light on mine broke already.. so the scans come in streaky. Granted, it was about $90.. but still.. seeing as how their computers seems okay, I thought the scanner would be fine too. Yeah, I've bad things about Vaios.. I've heard things about apple laptops being good.. but I don't really want to use a macintosh ahahah.
Yeah, the picture on the Wacom site isn't too attractive at all.. but when I saw the picture you took of the tablet.. it looked really nice! Yeah, I think I'll replace it when I go off to college. x3 I think my dad offered to buy me one as a send off gift. =)
AD: Oh my. I might become one of those overachieving geeks. XD But I think he meant the partying and the freedom.. or something. Yeaaaaah... but my friend told me a story about her college days.. every morning.. without fail.. a guy would run down the dorm hall screaming at the top of his lungs. XD
Koji: Soap opera? As in drama? That sucks. ;o; And so continues your obsession with hair. XD I'm thinking of cutting mine soon.. but I don't know what to do with it. ;D;

Nyome~ That much? o.o; They sell them in SF's Japantown for like $10. xD And they have BLUE AND GREEEN. 8^8 heart Every time I see one moving I get possesed into giggling. It's so horrible. gonk :0 Lucky. I didn't get to snag one of those at the con. I did get a Coco, though. And my friend gave me a grunny. ; o; <3 COCO PRIDE.
QA~ Murderous little gigglers. o_o I was always afraid of dolphins when I was little. To me they were just rubbery, funny shaped sharks. And now they're viceful. D: xDD
Darkish~ Yeah. It's all badrama. gonk Nothings even fun anymore, and my best friend is still in freakin' Mexico. >:U My hairs all long. It's almost girly. xd I have to cut it down so I can be boy pretty again. ; ; Do something rad with it. :0 But don't settle for that genero white girl bleach chunks thing. Just don't. xD
AD~ That was Shion!? I swore it was Mion. @m@;; My favorite Keii moment had to be the Satoko arc. If the little girl shoves you a few yards into a wall because you touched her, please repeat until you have her convulsing and throwing up.
As for DoC, I've only beaten the first level/scenario. 8D;; And I don't have much experience with shooty games, so I can't tell you if it's good in that area. But I can't really find anything wrong, except they murdered Cait Sith. He's not supposed to have a cruddy Irish accent. He's not! gonk And I don't think it's a very long game...if anything, get XsII and rent DoC. Or get your gamestore working friend to hack the system inventory and get you one for free. *Cough.*
Laichu~ x..o" OMAGAH SHAKEEL O'NIEL! gonk gonk
I like how my shirt has a different colored sleeve. xD
BTW, anyone here gone to Hawaii? I'm gonna be there for a week, and I don't know what to do there. I refuse to be a tourist. >''<

@QA------ Ahh, I see. Well tablets aren't too hard to figure out. You just use it like a regular pen and paper. XD It's hard to get used to at first, but everyone eventually adapts to it after two weeks at most. And then, it is love.
Yeah, I work big or small IRL. I stopped using the scanner much after I got the tablet, since it's just so much more convenient. XD
Ooo, you saw my temp shop? ^ ^ yay!
@Darkish------ Yeah, a lot of us go through it. A lot of parents, asian parents in particular, smother their children so much they're socially crippled. It's a shame, really. Your parents actually sound not as strict as most. XD I mean, my parents did the same thing. My mom started preparing me for the SATs when I was in 6th grade, and I had to take it 4 times ( two old, two new. ). But all in all, it could've been much worse.
Ahh, that sucks. Mine adds little specs of dirt, but I can clean those off with photoshop. iBooks are really pretty, but I'd rather just deal with a PC. They're much more practical for school stuff at least.
It's also that the picture doesn't do the glossiness justice. It's just so smooth and SHINY IRL. * w* And yeah, college is a good time to replace tablets.
@AD------Well office is already on my computer, so downloading it again would just give me doubles.. or some logic like that. XD
Cracks just don't really work that well. I tried it on my microsoft Word on this computer, and in the end Shiro had to send me his because none of them worked.
@Koji------ Ahh, I see. :3 i like the pink ones the best though.
You should get one~~ they're really fun to put at home. And just watch them shakkeee.
Aww, well a coco is nice! XD I gave Frej the coco and kept the kiki. I didn't know they were giving grunnies too. I missed the panel throwing and stuff.
