Merry Commercialized Christmas! More importantly, Merry Akahomas! heart
Many apologies for the inane rambling of the last posting. Some day, I will learn. =D
Iyou - Guitar Hero II is awesome. I haven't even tried playing a real guitar in almost twenty years, so I was stuck on easy for a while. I could finally decently play medium and threw a celebration.
At work, there's a display of it. For those working in Electronics, they are required, by company policy, to play with any and all displays to help gain attention. They are required and paid to stand around and play video games for some time. mad D
Must work. I became interested in it by watching two friends "battle", then caved and bought it.
Yume - I'd cheer it's over, but it's really not until maybe two weeks into January. *sigh* They tried to get me to do more overtime on Saturday, but I'd had so little sleep all week I was over-tired to the point of hyper. I laughed when management asked, and then clocked out.
Should I steal Hoshi's idea and post mini work snippets? I say, for Christmas, everyone tell fun Holiday tales. heart
Steal you a copy? How? o.o; I'd buy you the game, but alas, I am both poor and ignorant of your address. surprised
Axel - I liked "Night at the Museum"! It's nice to have a simple, cute movie once in a while. Not some poor attempt at an over-complicated plot. Not over-exaggerated computer effects just because they can. Not plots wrapped around some idiot couple falling in "love" on the spot with tons of make out scenes and lots of "action". Just a movie that's worth seeing.
And c'mon. Mickey Rooney, d**k Van Dyke, Bill Cobbs, Robin Williams, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan...that's just a whole bucket of fun right there.

Ok...argh. You ever fall in love with something but it's so outrageously expensive that you shouldn't even be entertaining the thought of buying it, but you do anyway? And no, I'm not talking about a PS3 (screw that). I'm talking about a chair. The La-Z-Boy Benton 357, to be more precise. I found it online and fell in love with it. There was no price on the site, but come on, how expensive can it be, right? I looked at some other chairs and guessed a ballpark of $400-500. $600 tops. Right? (link)
Hah. Hah and ******** hah.
I stopped by a La-Z-Boy store today to check. It's brand new, so they don't have any on the floor yet, but they ran the price for me and (wait for it)...
I could get TWO PS3s for the price of this one chair. I s**t you not. Retail is $1149. For a CHAIR.
What is wrong with me?
Anyway, I hope everyone had a good holiday. If any of you were lucky enough to get Nintendo Wiis, my only advice is to make your own wristband/strap to safeguard your TV.
Darkish - Well, I never played Tactics. I beat FFXII yesterday and was sorely disappointed. They dragged 4 hours of storyline into a 50-hour game. Still pretty, though. Go ahead and play it and let me know what you think later. I might very well be crazy.
Laitue - Computerz! whee What brand are you thinking? Or custom-built? Or building one yourself?
QA - A work snippet every now and then would be cool (any more than that, and I'd have to give you your own thread!).
Can't you sneak it out somehow? Using your wit and wiles? (That sounds...dirty.) And you could send it to...um...well, we'd work on that part. xd
Ashram - Melly... Oh dear god. xd Love that.
'Akahomas' is a long story. Don't ask.
Koji - Argh. I swear, that's one more reason for me to look at Stanford instead of Northwestern. Spoiled Californian.

Alas, x-mas came and went... and I STILL haven't managed to end the second part of my fanfic crying ... myabe by my birthday? ... or maybe by jan 6. (which happens to be Three Wise Men day in Puerto Rico. Something similar to the Americans' holiday of the jolly fat man down a chimney, but with the hilarity of putting grass in a shoe box underneath your bed as offering to the camels of the three wise men who visited Jesus, and leave presents where the box lay. It's okay since it's a custom, but imagine what would happen if you wanted a go kart and left a box of grass underneath your bed? xp )
Maybe I'll just stop delaying the review for my mp3 player, seeing as it managed to survive being machine washed AND tumble dried. Too bad the display is now iffy, but what can you do about it? It wasn't an LCD for better than for worse at least. neutral
AD :: for a moment, during the very beginning of your post, I thought you were talking about your purchase of your mp3 [player and it scared me considerably. Especially considering the fact that it was Hoshi who suggested all of the neat things it had. xd On another note, I still think Wii > PS3 ... and no matter how many times Ken Kutaragi says that the PlayStation 3 is NOT a Video-Gaming console, I still say it is, and then laugh at the poor guy for trying to pull the rug from underneath my feet but ending up looking like an a**.
(and seeing as I said "a**" ... the reason the men follow the skirt has GOT to be the fact that it's a hot shade of pink. Oh the flaunty innuendos the male gender must suffer through... we tend to even see innuendos in the strangest of places... in color alone, for instance!)
and if I had to say, I could SWEAR you're positively, absolutely, irrefutably the Epistler in disguise. ninja (it wouldn't be surprising. We just go by Archetypes, and then use me as a secondary Latino character that just because he's Latino, he knows Santeria, and therefore can use voodoo powers to bring people from the dead. xd )
Laitue :: if your issue is just HD space, you don't automatically have to opt for a new pc. You can also nowadays opt for a portable HD you can own. I've seen them come all the way up to 6 terabytes, but you prolly would just like to stay with a 160+ gig HD for all your needs. razz (I'm planning on buying a 250 gig one, or just swap my old 80 gig for a new 350 gig sooner or later)
Hoshi :: I know I often miss your presence whenever you're around GASOC. This is more true nowadays with my conflicting schedule... Even so, I wish you a belated happy birthday to you, Hoshi! whee heart
and with that in mind I wish you all a MERRY AKAHOMAS! heart
-edit- ..... apparently I was the last person in the ******** planet to find out that James Brown died on Christmas day, in Atlanta. Go figure....the King of Soul died on X-mas...
-re-edit- also, for those of you who have characters or like creating characters and not fall into the paolini trend, you might want to check this site out. Do not fret much if your character goers past the 50+ points line... as long as it isn't reaching the 100+ mark, your character will not fall into the Paolini-Stu-Uberclone syndrome, henceforth known to all GASOC members as P.S.U. syndrome! xd (and no, this is not a shot at all who play p.s.u. ... it was merely ... 'coincidental' ninja )

AD :: not exactly. Writing fanfiction is harder than I thought. For some dubious reason that escapes my logic, I'm much more comfortable being able to fully express my world as I envision it. (which is the whole reason of my post in the GASOC projects, if you haven't seen it xD; ) To write good fanfiction though, you have to take into account the canon of which all of the characters involved portray, and what their own quirks and niches are, or as envisioned by their original creator (i.e. you, A.D.) and not how I envision them to be (i.e. me) ... although it was much more fun to get away at making you seem much more ranty/angsty/bitchy than usual. If anybody asks as to why, I can simply state that you were having one of your days of the month, and STILL get away with it, because it's totally believable. xd
If you're NOT the Epistler, then I sincerely tip my hat to that person. Seriously. (even if he or she is a zombie at this point in time, considering the faulty suicide brought on by someone resurrecting the Epistler for the sixth, seventh and eighth epistles so far written whee )
And yes. Not only does it have an actual 50-hour battery life (with max power save mode), it survived such a horrible ordeal. Unfortunately the screen now glows pretty much like a normal LED, instead of the brighter OLED screen it originally had, but at least I got a readable screen....compared to the Apple's shuffle xp
Hoshi :: You're more than welcome! ^^ I like reminding myself of special dates like that. (Besides, it's totally the reason why Akahomas is what it is...and it's part of the reason I wrote the fic. ninja )
sweatdrop actually I worked the 25th...from midnight till 8 am...and then worked a 12-hour shift from 8pm on the 25th till 8am of the 26th...
but at least I get to be here now, and that's what truly counts. 3nodding
