Whee!

Happy New Years alls!

... Double Gold Week? Oh gods. In rebellion I shan't be on Gaia. That sounds cooler than, "because this is my last week of true freedom I'ma be reading and playing video games a lot."

...well, I do not approve of your outfit. This kind of thing is what makes checking GASOC while at work really tricky.

There's a GASOC dress code? o_ o

...hmm. xd

Every time a Belanova song comes on, I think of Deuxi. ): I await your return. D<

Anyone see Pan's Labyrinth yet? I want to REAL BAD. x_x It fascinates me so. ; m;

seeing as i can't incite an underwear artists theme by myself, I'll resort to the next best thing: islander with a gun! BLACK LAGOON FTW! heart (don't know what that is? go ask Lang about it ninja )

Iyou :: yeah... a real-life Bullet-proof vest. Well, to put it simply, they don't call us "the gun shot island" by the locals for nothin' (and yes, it's a rough translation from the actual word, being 'La Isla del Tiroteo' ... I'll let Deuxia correct me if I'm wrong ninja

axel :: yeah, silly innit? xd and yes, we're okay thankfully :3

A.D. :: yeah, you read right... me + bulletproof vest + cafeteria + bullets in the air + me on the phone with Ryuuhou = happy new year 2007 :3

at least for me anywho. sweatdrop

Koji :: G.A.S.O.C.'s dress code consists of dark, mute, and opaque colors for clothing... unless you're a mascot xd

or unless any of the femmes incite an 'Underwear Arrrtists!' scheme xd (last time it was Iyou or akahoshi who called it if I do recall xDDD

OMG OMG OMG I love Belanova - Te quedas o te vas crying and yeah, it really makes me think of Deuxia everytime I hear it rofl

Shiro - But still, why the gunfire? Random New Year's celebration, or are people attempting to harm each other? o_O

And since you seem so set on having an underwear artist brigade, I changed my oufit. whee

...Yarrrr! pirate

(That's the first time I got to use the pirate smiley. xD)

AD - Your house wins.

WHY do the admins think that inflation will solve everything? It makes my brain burn.

Koji - Basic code: no flowers used as loincloths, as AyDee frequently checks GASOC from work and does not need the title of "pixel *****." (chibis look like children to the ignorant)

ZOMG I want to see that! But stupid old Cleveland isn't getting the stupid movie until January 19th. gonk

Shiro - Either tell the story or stop taunting us.

Iyou - It's all thanks to Lang. xd

I believe the GASOC dress code is thus - "If Ashram's avatar is adorned in such a manner that 1) is highly suggestive 2) is highly perverted 3) makes you want to gouge out your eyes 4) makes AD beat Ashram to a bloody pulp 5) is deemed unfit for AD workspace then do not adorn your avatar in a way that resembles or imitates said Ashram avatar adornment."

Ashram - Yeah, pretty much. Honestly, if I weren't so bored at work all the time, I wouldn't have much of an argument. It's just the fact that I.T. can see everything that passes through my browser (that sounded odd) and I'd rather not have images of very-nearly-naked avatars flooding my temp folder.

I apologize for my...selfishness? I dunno. I guess it really isn't fair for me to impose a dress code...

...I mean, yes! I am the supreme ruler of this guild! Ph34r my completely ridiculous whims!!1!1one!1obey!

Honestly I'm filled with a great sense of pride that my avatars could be considered workplace restricted. whee (or workplace unfriendly ... or some such term that sounds much snappier than what I'm coming up with at the moment)

Essentially ... I AM UNSAFE! BWAHAHAHAHA!

*ahem*

xD Sorry to hear that, AD. I guess I'll have to change out of my underwear-ific outfit to bow to the supreme guild leader's commands.

That would be pretty funny to see the faces of the I.T. people though. "What is this? Pixel...child...porn?"

-----

Ugh, I don't know why I've decided to do this. Maybe it's because I turned 19 a few hours ago. Maybe it's because I just got a nice fat check from my college in my bank account today. (Thank yoouu, merit-based scholarship overfunding. heart ) But for some reason or another I've decided to go out and get myself a Gamecube since my hopes of getting a DS Lite for Christmas were dashed to pieces when I found the package under the tree I was eyeing for nearly a month was not in fact a DS Lite, but a graphing calculator. ("Practical" my a**. mad You suck, parents.) And now the price of a DS Lite is upwards of $180 thanks to the Christmas rush. So here I am, stalking an ebay auction that ends at 1:30 AM in hopes to get a system that won't get any more games and is essentially dead because I'm too cheap to buy what I really want.

*sigh* I'm such a loser. gonk

Edit: Woohoo, got a Gamecube plus three games for under $80. Happy birthday to me. whee

Iyou :: random New Years Celebration which could have gotten from the American spaghetti westerns, shooting guns into the air when victory arises... I'll explain in aydee's post. ninja

(oh and btw, you getting a gamecube and games for $80 = YOU ARE MADE OF WIN! whee *makes no sense*)

[and sorry x__o; ... outfits like that only incite the wrath of our supreme ruler of this guild crying ... but yay! I made Iyou use the pirate smiley! xd ]

A.D. :: here it goes neutral

a week prior to new years, (if I recall, on the 22nd) during the Sargent's shift, he heard a 12 gauge shotgun go off, and a few fragments of the shotgun shell passing by trees nearby him while on ground patrol (a.k.a. patrolling around the premises on foot.) when I entered my shift on the 23th at midnight, he told me what had happened. Now, having lived the better part of 16 years in Vega Baja, the city where all this took place, I've seen my fair share of shootings, and have heard many MANY types of firearms munitions going off in the wee hours of the night. Tonight was no different, seeing as the factory is pretty much a block and a half away from one of three heavy crime-filled scenes in Vega Baja. I said OK, and to take care while driving. While doing patrol at around 3 am, I hear three shots fired by a .45 pistol. What shocked me though was that not only did I hear the shots, a few seconds later, I hear the bullets ricocheting nearby; one ricocheting a good foot and a half from where i was standing... and I has hiding for cover by this time. sweatdrop

on the 23rd at around 11:50pm when I arrived for my shift 12-8am, the lieutenant on shift was at the guardhouse. after explaining the situation prior to his arrival, he was about to talk when we heard gunfire erupt. It was an AR 15, most likely being tested out. Next week on the 30th he brought me his bulletproof vestt so I could use it...and lo and behold the police do a raid on the neighborhood. as you can imagine, there were lots of shots fired, including AK's, 9mm's and .45's along a shotgun blast or two. We both had to stay in the guardhouse till the skirmish subsided. and it lasted about a good fifteen to twenty minutes.

in new years eve though, although there was some rainfall, lots of people were shooting lots of fireworks which normally are prohibited. also a few shotguns and 9mills, along with apparently a revolver roared through the skies. (not sure if it was a .357 or a .38 since I was in the cafeteria at the time the clock struck 12 sweatdrop )

now I'm actually thinking of owning a gun...so I might solicit the permit and everything... and the bulletproof vest costs around $300+ so...I need to save in order to invest in all of that. sweatdrop

...s**t... between here and my journal I've written a whole ******** lot tonight xd

-------------------------------------

talking about journals, have you guys read Jakobo's journal? he's been having "weekly writer" events since last week, and this weeks seems quite promising sweatdrop

Ack! I had no idea you had such a dangerous job. I don't need to tell you you better be damn safe down there, Shiro. sad I think you'd better invest in that vest before anything else, including a gun. Having a gun won't do much good if you've got a bullet hole or two in you.

Rar... BE SAFE OR ELSE! ninja

And... thank you. I think I got a pretty good deal myself there, too. xd

Edit: Woohoo! I think I got post 19000. whee

I saw Pan's Labyrinth in November because I'm a naughty little pirate that doesn't like to wait.

The movie is very good but is not for everyone, but for me it had a great story and it was visually pleasing.

That's my take since it was brought up.

AD - That dress code doesn't apply to me does it.

Ashram - More like...workplace inappropriate. I'm pretty sure I signed something in the employee handbook along the lines of "I agree not to view pixellated pr0n."

Iyou - There's a difference between Gaia underwear (cute) and a strategically placed flower (just kind of creepy). You're free to underwear around. (It's a verb now. Deal.)

I've already given the IT team enough grief by actually taking care of my computer (Mozilla, AdAware, AVG virus scans). I don't want to torment them further.

Happy birthday, btw. heart Gamecubes are awesome. Totally worth stalking ebay.

Shiro - Are skirmishes that normal where you live? o.O That's crazy. I'm interested in the bullet-proof vest, though. Did you attempt to steal it afterwards?

Akahoshi - I want to see it in theaters, so this pirate will wait for a couple more weeks. Impatiently, mind you.

No, it doesn't. heart
