Axel - I wouldn't call it resolved, per se...
Yeah, dealing with technology means either things crash or become obsolete. Or crash because they're obsolete.
Yume - Well, I was intending to buy some pretty laptop eventually, so I was trying to hold out with the poor thing until then. But, no, my parents got a new one (with convenient timing), so I took their older one and plan to cannibalize my sicky.
I would fill things with viruses on purpose, just to have fun digging them out. No, wait, I have...
Drag Show. Men in dresses dancing and lip syncing. Typically prefer to refer to themselves with feminin pronouns. Drag Queens.

Yume - Extra RAM and harddrive space, how can I resist?
Why not? xd It's no different from seeing any other kind of show. Someone up there dancing, lip syncing, fun. *shrug*
Besides, if gay men always absolutely adore me, I figured Drag Queens would too. What can I say? I love attention. My gay friend was a little shocked when the Drag Queens were more focused on me than him, for once. xd And it's harmless, a kiss on the cheek, a little dance.
Not only that, I'd heard about the bar for years and years. Everyone would always mention going, then last minute decide not to. Or something would come up and I couldn't go. I knew it was a gay bar, but predominantly male, so I didn't have to worry too much about giving any girls the wrong idea about me. But all the hype was making it sound like THE place to go. Plus I've always wanted to see a Drag Show, why not?
Sunday, my friend had promised he'd take me. At first, he forgot and I got annoyed. sweatdrop A place I'd wanted to go for years, a show I'd wanted to see, etc. and he forgets. But he suddenly remembered, felt bad, and pestered until I agreed to go after all. Which is just as well, had he not, I would've taken a taxi there by myself if I had to this next Sunday. I wouldn't have had anywhere near as much fun, but I could say I went.
It was tons of fun, in the end. The girls put on good shows. There was a long intermission, well over an hour, I spent the entire time dancing with my friend. I've never danced in public before, and it was a blast. He was a dance instructor before and we were doing little competitions, and I was doing surprisingly well. xd There were even a few times we were center of the floor.
A few people did try to get one of us to dance with them instead, but we ignored them. whee
Plus I openly admit I'm a yaoi fangirl. Some guys like girl/girl, and then there's girls like me who like guy/guy. Being on a dance floor full of only men, them being jealous of who I was with and of my dancing, and then getting glares because Drag Queens are giving ME dances and kisses, as well as my friend doing the same? I was in Heaven. surprised So I'm a little weird? heart

axel - I didn't like Death Note too much in the beginning, but episode 24 was just so chock-full of awesomeness that I can deny my fangirling no longer. Evil Light is friggin' sweet. I even like Misa, heaven help me. She's one conniving little airhead.
Also, the opening theme sounds like...Japanese Slipknot.
I hope your mother's okay! Did they find out why she collapsed?
As far as MP3 players go... The fact that you want a small player opens up all sorts of floodgates. My recommendation is to do some research at Newegg.com. You can even narrow your choices by "Removable Rechargeable Battery" within the 1-4gig range. My coworker recently bought this and she really likes it. There's no software or drivers, from what I understand. Just good ol' drag and drop.
And technically, you CAN replace the battery in your iPod. It'll void the warranty, though. Check around tech sites - or even eBay - and find a match for what's in your iPod now. I don't know how much of a techie you are or if you're comfortable opening up your player; that's up to you.
And, as always, my general dislike for iPods overshadows any brand suggestions I might make. stare Creative is an excellent brand, as is SanDisk. I really do recommend you check Newegg, though.
