I'm using one called Poser and you start off with preset models so you can learn how to pose them, and change their textures. I'm still figuring that out but I got a good hang of it. Here's a render I did with James, he's the Poser v6 preset male fig.



After that you learn how to make your own faces, body morphing and then you can animate them, but I don't think I'll go that far in a while. The most disturbing thing is that male models include penises gonk I don't want to do 3D Porn! at least not yet, my dirty mind can go many ways.

I hate Gaia. Hate. As far as I'm concerned, GASOC is sacred ground, and everything outside of it is overrun with n00bs, admins with bizarre fetishes (hello, Gaia comics), and bad coding. Has anyone else noticed vertical borders showing up where horizontal ones should be, and vice-versa? Bah! Get yer CSS in order, Gaia!

So it's been a little over a month since my last post but I haven't had internet for all that time so not my fault, I had to choose between food and internet for a month. But all is good now and and I'm just about done playing internet catch up. And I'm sick today so it's helping, but I get dizzy after looking at the screen for 10 minutes so, this is pretty much an I'm still alive post. Now back to the comfort of my blankets and pillows.

• Enchanted was such a terrible movie. The princess wanders around and generally behaves like a 6-year-old, and this entices the leading man? Isn't that...I dunno...akin to *****? Just asking.
  
• There is something very, very wrong with your life when you start listening to the soundtrack from Super Mario RPG and thinking, Damn, this isn't half bad!
  
• FYI for you non-office types: Calling a fax line and then bitching that you got a busy signal will make me ignore your whiny email for three days.
  
• The number of coworkers turned to the dark side (aka, Grammar Nazis) is growing. Now I've got other people sending scathing corrections to CNN.com. It's like outsourcing.

I'm officially a hoarding b***h, we control the freaking marketplace lol

I celebrated my birthday on Monday, when mom and Shiro sang me happy birthday and we ate ice cream cake! biggrin On Tuesday (my actual birthday) we went to the beach with a bunch of friends at night and drank and smoked 'till we forgot who we were, on Wednesday I went to the movies with my friend and drank all the way there, and on Saturday we went to hit the clubs and drank like bitches. I'm 23, It's my week to get wasted so it's OK. twisted I had a blast, my mom gave me for my birthday a bottle of Bacardi, she's kind of cool. 3nodding

All this talk of Elfen Lied seemed to coincide very nicely with a dull weekend. After a marathon of all 13 eps, I have to say: that was a ******** and a half. It was like...Chobits with gore. The nudity got very old very quickly, but Nana losing limbs at random was a lot funnier than it should have been.

BTW, Gaia seems to think that "*****" is worth blanking out with asterisks. I'm going to have to start using that as a default cuss, since Gaia has deemed the term inappropriate. (Seriously. WTF?)


Ryuu - I'm glad you had an excellent birthday. Your mother rocks.


Koji - Ahh, yes. There's nothing like a fever to make already weirdass anime all the stranger. As I recall, I started watching Higurashi for the same reason.

Enchanted was creepy. CREEPY. Giselle was fairly intelligent in her animated form, but when she got plopped into the real world, it was all, Ooooohhhhhfishies! and Ooooohhhhpizza! and Ooooohgravity! Not necessarily in that order.


Lang - Who're you cosplaying, ho? It looks familiar, but I can't think of it.
