Lang> Hey hot stuff. How've you been?

Oh you. xD

I've been okay. How about yourself? (Aside from the obvious new habit of lady killing.)

jenna - Sometimes a little jostle or static is all it takes to send a laptop over the edge.

Lang - Why...did that sound like the start of a Disney song?

Oddly enough, I wasn't thinking of the pic from a "fail" standpoint. When I saw it, I just saw the car bearing down on two innocent bystanders like "GWAAEERGHH!" Or...something. That's seriously how my brain processed it.

I don't know, but now I feel dirty for saying it.

Lol.... I see. Well I hope they managed to escape the hungry/angry car, cameras intact.

Lang - Hah! Serves you right.

I imagine they did. Er.

I feel like I should start a conversation or something. So... Anyone see Transformers 2? Was it as bad as I've heard? Does the name "Witwicky" ever stop being funny?

Lang> I see you haven't lost your way with words of the tiny text variety biggrin

Yeah, I saw Transformers 2. I actually kind of enjoyed it despite the horrible script/voice acting of the robots. And no, AyDee, no it does not xd I still don't know how I feel about Shia LaBeouf apparently becoming the new sort of go-to guy for action movies involving a random kid that all of a sudden a bunch of stuff happens to. I can't really take him seriously
PostPosted: Tue Jun 30, 2009 11:29 am
AD - You're so mean.

Alucard - Of course not, I've got to maintain consistency for you.

I also agree with you about Shia of the Beef. He's a really expressive kid, but he just looks like a rodent.
My brother used to watch some terrible Disney show on the Family, starring Shia LaBeef. It's hard to look at a kid try to be serious when you've seen him at that point in his life.

I saw Transformers 2, of course. The first one was better, but the second one had a LOT more action/robots murdering one another. So I enjoyed it from the CG eyecandy standpoint.

As far as story goes, well what do you expect from Transformers? The cartoon was about a failure bad guy robot trying to steal ______ [insert item of the day] from the good guy robots.
Repeat for a million episodes, and there you have it.
Movie was about the same. But yay, robots transforming into cars!

Alucard - This took place in the office:

AD: Anyone see Transformers 2?
Surly Webdesigner Dave: God, YES.
AD: And?
SWD: Awful.
AD: Mm.
SWD: Shia LeBouf goes to Transformer heaven. TRANSFORMER HEAVEN.
AD: What?
Network Guy Dennis: What, he died?
SWD: No, not...not really.
AD: Did Megan Fox call him back?
SWD: ...YES.
AD: Pft. She's such a skanky ho.
Joe Cool: Ooh, Megan Fox?

I rest my case, if I in fact had one.

Lang - I don't expect much from Transformers, I guess. I think I'll investigate the soundtrack, however.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 30, 2009 9:21 pm
Lol... yeah the movie was kind of like Transformers: Revenge of Megan Fox.

Those guys have probably not seen Twilight, though.
Twilight has really taught me how to appreciate the little redeemable qualities in an otherwise plotless film. (There were none in Twilight though.)

Oh god Twilight.

Yeah, I think I've seen clips of the same Disney thing. I expected Eagle Eye/Transformers/The Indiana Jones that Doesn't Exist to be filled with many more crazy faces and wacky double-speed Yakety Sax-ish running based on that. But yeah, plot? Not so much. But 2 points for eye candy for both giant robots and Megan Fox. Almost reminds me of Bakuretsu Tenshi xd

AD> Yeah, they really need to come up with another/better way for people to come back after being presumed dead other than dead people imparting some revelation on you and you waking up suddenly full of energy. Sadly I'm drawing a blank.

Lang - Transformers: Megan Fox in Shorts!

Did you ever get a chance to see Twilight's DVD menu? The one where still cut-outs of the character slide around the screen? It's fantastically amusing.

Alucard - There are only two reasons for temporarily killing a main character: shock value and OMG LIFE LESSONS. What's so hard about leaving characters dead?

AyDee - ACTUALLY, YES!!! I DID! I had to watch it repeatedly just to be sure that I saw what was happening correctly.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 02, 2009 7:54 pm
Lang - I couldn't believe Twilight outdid itself by making the DVD menu screamingly funny.

AyDee - It's Twilight. Anything is possible.

Speaking of anything being possible, have you seen the photos of the 'best' and worse Twilight tattoos recently??

I keep laughing at them.

This is the first year I actually spent the 4th of July with my friend's family (she offers, I decline; it's a ritual), and ohmygod, what possessed me to eat all that? I never want to see another spoonful of macaroni salad as long as I live.

Lang - YES. That was on ONTD, wasn't it? That one of Edward Cullen was one of the funniest and saddest things I've ever seen, all at the same time. And one girl had that horrible opening phrase of New Moon (Eclipse? I don't know) about the passage of time tattooed on her back. Seriously. Of all the prose in the world, she chose THAT?

Oh god, macaroni salad... no... anything but that. There was a recipe for that on a Something Awful thread... ugh...

Anyway, yeah, it was. I think. I loved all of the shitty prose stuff that took up BOTH forearms or someones ENTIRE back/side or whatever.
It was all just HUGE terrible quotes. And badly rendered tattoo versions of the book covers. ugh.
