I need to stop logging in, hitting reply, and staring at a blank screen before closing the tab. It's not particularly productive or healthy.
Er.
I have a new job. It's interesting but I'm still working out the kinks. That is all.
My friend's trying to drag me to see Harry Potter. On opening night. At midnight. I, not being a fan of Harry Potter (although I WILL grant that the movies, bypassing a good deal of Harry's Inner Monologue, are guaranteed to be better than the books), utterly refuse. The only HP movie I've seen in theaters was the one with Gary Oldman being a hobo.
This is the Cowon S9. I own one. AMOLED screens are fantastic. I highly recommend it for geeks and highly advise against it for normal types.
I'm still trying to beat Persona3, jenna. STILL. I'm 75 hours into it (some of those may have been spent sleeping while the PS2 whirred away nearby) and have just now reached the boss. And then I lost a 2-hour-long boss battle right at the end. You know what sucks? Having a party of four people, and if YOUR nameless moron gets knocked out, it's game over. What IS that? There are plenty of revival beads to go around, people.
In unrelated news, I nearly had a coronary at my desk today when some CNN.com writer used hyphens incorrectly. "When he was only two-years-old..." What? WHAT? Children are going without punctuation in impoverished countries, you b*****d interns.

In Which AyDee Does Not Shut Up
Koji – No, she did not. She found another poor soul to drag along. In spite of myself, I called her the next day to see how it was, and she said, to quote, “Awesome.” She still plans on dragging me, this time to hear my opinion. (I told her I could give her my opinion without seeing the movie, but apparently that doesn’t count.)
Does the MP3 player behave… Well, yes…and no. Being a Cowon, it’s prone to completely unnatural UI. I treat it like a big puzzle, but few people are willing to put up with that sort of nonsense from their gadgets. The S9 doesn’t crash or anything, though. The sound and video are top-notch, and the battery life is a reputed 55 hours for music and 11 for video. I can’t vouch for either yet, since I use a mix of both. But what makes the S9 so great is its hands-in-the-air resignation to users’ whims. The UI is totally customizable – meaning if you can code it, you can install it. Cowon is also really good about responding to consumer demands and releasing new firmware versions frequently. File transfer is still drag and drop, but you can now browse music by folders or ID3 tag. (It no longer has the “play this folder” option that I so loved on the X5, but I’m getting over it.)
One of the S9’s features that comes outta left field is its song speed function. For whatever reason, you can listen to songs a 50-150% of their regular speed. I don’t get it, but I did enjoy hearing Andrea Bocelli sing like a Chipmunk. There’s also a pitch correction option, which brings voices back to human range but maintains the speed. Again, I don’t quite understand the purpose, unless you’ve always had a burning desire to make a workout routine to Debussy.
I beat Persona 3 last night and, really, I was disappointed (and a little horrified). ~*Friends*~ are the answer! We can fight back mankind’s doom if we ~*believe*~ in each other! And on, and on. The stomach turns. The gameplay was fun, but as a story, it epically failed.
Re: The Answer – I started this last night, just to see what could possibly happen after the end of The Journey, and (spoilers hereafter) I’m DEAD? That ending scene from The Journey…was me passing the ******** out and then later GIVING UP ON LIFE? I didn’t accumulate 80 hours of gameplay just to die in an android’s lap. No. I REFUSE. And why is everyone back at level 30-ish? It’s taking all of my willpower not to hand the damn thing back to GameStop.

AD~ Lol, well I think GASOC is the perfect place for your opinion. Please, share. I don't bother asking anyone who went, since most of the people I know saw it while in heat. :u
The Cowon sounds pretty amazing. :0 I don't think I'd complain, especially with a battery life that long. :9 Anything that lets me drag and drop and isn't Apple I can get along with. Have you made a workout routine to Debussy? xD
Gosh AD, didn't you know? Friends are ALWAYS the answer, unless there are less than 4 characters. Then LOVE is the answer. :'D Well, the Answer does give a bit of closure, but I don't think the ending will make you any happier... or the fact that you stay stuck in the same area for a good chunk of the game. But you do get to kick the crap out of your friends. That's worth it, right? D: Just letting you know, the boss is equally as bitchy. If not more, since you fight it at a lower level.
Shiro~ Holy geez, you met someone from GASOC and the world didn't stop turning?? :U I wanna know who~ Btw, bared gums scare me. ;_;
