Noriko M. Chijinu Ugh I agree! It's so damn annoying so much crap that I explicitly do not care about being shoved into my face. I tend to just ignore them. Maaaan the speech mail bubble was legit. Granted I am not really as old on this site as some others, but I did get to enjoy the go-gaia. These achievement things really annoy me sometimes... : / Life tends to happen, as it has with me also.. I am in school still. :I Should be done in maybe a year. I am currently in Japan and spending my last 3 weeks here before I go back to Vegas to find myself a job of some sort lol How about you? Work? School? Underground dealings? Japan? God, I hope that horror with the earthquake and tsunami didn't affect you. That was gut-wrenching to see everywhere.
Good luck with the job hunt, naturally.
Work, yes. School, hopefully again at some point. Underground dealings...well, that goes without saying.
I work in IT right now, which is a far cry from my degree in psych, but apparently I decided I like machines better than people a long time ago. Eventually I'll get properly edjumacated for it, but in the meantime, my boss lets me learn whatever I want, so long as I don't annihilate the print server.
Oh. Still live in Cleveland, because I am a total fool.

Still live in Cleveland, because I am a total fool. I was not here for the Earthquake, but I I arrived a month and a half ago and it was such a change afterwards! I have not been to Touhoku but I have seen the pictures...In Tokyo just about every place has a donation box, and about half the lights don't turn on at night and there is not as many people in the streets as it used to.. But regardless, Japan as a whole is doing much better. Haha and I am having plenty fun. Do you have Facebook? I take pictures of my shenanigans and upload them quite often if you would like to see.
IT is pretty neat though! I wish I was any good at computers : o I foresee the same happening to me, I will probably end up working on something nothing to do with my major..
Cleveland is coolsvile isn't it? So I hear. Vegas is not better, hot, dry, strange sort of place. Can't wait till I don't live there any more!

I avoid Facebook like fire and rabies combined, but I'm sure you've taken some excellent photos!
Embrace moving away from your major. You can't do one thing all your life, you know. Most people just make sure you HAVE a degree, then decide if they want to hire you for reasons I still don't understand. Whether or not they like your name that day. I don't know.
Does Vegas actually have real, non-faux-glitzy residential areas? My understanding of Vegas is the standard generalization of casinos and restaurants and small replicas of famous landmarks.

Ahaha no no quite on the contrary, I look for the opportunity to take terrible pictures of people. 8D I am a great friend!
Vegas is completely live-able in. Honestly, the moment you leave the Strip it is dingy, weird and sometimes smelly-just like any other city in America. It even has loads of recreational, non-gamblingy things to do. There is of course the small Lady Liberty and the small Eiffel Tower, but apart from the Stratosphere hotel and the rest of the Strip's hotels outline, if you're not close to the Strip it's impossible to tell where you are and therefore just as boring as it can be.
