"Mmmm about a day I guess but Suka is with my searching squad looking for who is responsible and once your fully rested in about two to three days you can look aswell." Ace smiles and sits next to her bed

"You didn't have to do this," she murmurs turning her head away. She felt ashamed that she had let her guard down enough to let herself be injured so, and more so that she had to use the aid of this man. He was both confusing and infuriating, but she couldn't find it in herself to hate him. Like most humans she came across, he was only trying to help.

"Wait, you said Suka is looking for our attackers?" she asked, looking back at Ace. She was suddenly very worried for her wolf's life, making the machines beep irritatedly from her raise in blood preasure.

Ace smiles and the doctors push her back in telling her not to move "Don't worry Senaka I have an armed gaurd with her and a dog squad so there is nothing to worry about so you can just rest alrite I mean there is no army or race that can defeat this city and its armor and weopons."

She fought futily as the doctors made her settle back down. With a huff, she crossed her arms and glared at their retreating forms.

"They are far from your city fortress's protection. Besides," Senaka sighed as she returned her attention to the man at her bedside. "It is not an army that I fear lurks in those dunes."

Narrowing her eyes, Senaka looked off into space, trying to remember the vague details of her mission. Normally, she wouldn't do these things, mercernary type work, but this particular adventure had peaked her interest.

"It is a relic. A symbol of an age long dead, before your people made settlements this far north." Pursing her lips, Senaka wondered how much to reveal. Ace, she thought, was a rather unpredictable character.

Ace sarted to laugh a bit "There can't be a relic there since before humanity bcause we would have found it or destroyed it by now since all species today came after the Human race when the war happened."

Letting her eyes focus on Ace, she let the weight of her timelessness seep into the room.

"Dear child, I am older than your entire race. Just because what you've been told is true, does not mean that it is so." Senaka narrowed her eyes and let them darken to a stormy grey.

"Of course you would not have found it, because it is hidden. And because it is constantly moving," she bit out.

Ace smiles "I'm sorry but I don't understand....are you an alian or something?" Ace sits down in the chair next to her as he laughs at what he had said

Senaka let a small quirk of her lips be seen, letting Ace know his joke was not funny.

"Of course not, silly child. I was born here, on this planet just like you. But long before you. Back when this entire desert was once a lush forest." Her eyes unfocused slightly as she recalled her early life and the vague images of the tall trees.

"Much has changed over the years, yet I have stayed the same. Many of my people were lost as your race began to grow. The oldest of us now hide away in underground temples, praying to gods long gone that we may leave here." She took a moment then to sigh.

"The younger ones, they are more restless. They wish to take this world back. That is why I wander. I believe that everyone has a right to live here. I try to protect the babe race from my own. For they know not what they do."

"Babe..race? I am sorry but we have not encountered them and how did your species survive the destruction of the rain forrests and the nucklear fallout? We Humanes hid in bunkers we had built just incase of such a thing but there were few of them only for the really important people." Ace wonders how such a race could have survived Humanes grip on the world as they further progresed themselves

"Oh, but you have encountered us. In one way or another." She thought a while as he mentioned the nuclear wars that had decimated the land only a few hundred years before. Though radiation had lowered enough to resume serface survival, she knew all too well the scars that remained.

"Like I said, many of us had retreated beneath the earth. We have entire cities there."

"Well its not like we still don't....." Ace cuts his sentence off and changes the subject back to the issue at hand "So what can you tell us about our new enemy?" Ace says as he pulls out some paper and a pencil

(seems a little much considering the technological level the rest of the world is in, which is more like the 1800's. Ish. . . I'm not sure, I haven't really tried to pinpoint the time, but nucs are far too advanced fopr sure. >.<)

"Firstly, destroying the whole desert will not only kill many innocents, it will also be futile. The creature that guards this relic has a hard outer shell that can protect it from most anything. Legend says it is harder than diamond," she addressed firstly, knowing that destruction was not far from the gernals mind.

"The relic alone is harmless. It is only when it is in the hands of another that it can become a curse. Though the exact nature of the relic has been lost to time, we do know what it loks like." Leaning over, Senaka slowly pulled out a folded parchment from a pocket in the cloak that was piled in a chair beside the bed.

Unfolding it, the ancient parchment held only a feint image. The relic, if gazed upon at first looks like a circular pendant with graven shapes along its sides and an enscripted mask in the center. This is only the surface image, tilting it in the light reveals that the outer rims of the pendant is comprised of dead or decomposing bodes and the mask in the center is actually a skull of an unknown beast.

"This is the relic known as the Great Despair."

Ace looks at the paper she had pulled out "Well we have drills that can break through diamond and all we have to do is use an electrical pulse sent straight through it. Any thing can be taken out by that even our own defences and yours." Ace knows he was being egotistical but he knew it was for the best and as people of all areass were watching him he had to keep morale up and hoped Senaka would notice it as he looked into her eyes with a show of sadness that came when he found out that Humans couldn't keep control of their planet anymore

"Indeed. We are all mortal in the end, for all our grandeur ideas of eternity and immortality. The best weapons, or the best fortesses will all crumble away. But I hope that we can work together to make sure that when the end does arrive, when the gates to the abyss, or when the waves of war threaten to obliterate all we hold dear, we will be united against it," she said with a reverence that indicated that these words were not new to her.

Senaka caught the scent of his worry and looked around at the others who wandered the recovery ward. Making everyone panik would not help matters. Taking this into account she lowered her voice as she continued.

"That is why I said the key words "legend" and "harder". I do not know what the beasts hide is made of, but it can withstand even a high caliber Diamond lazer. I know this, because a few centuries ago there was a black market cache on merchandise crafted from its shed skin. Someone had found where the beast's last den was and brought back scores of its skin."

Shifting a little on the bed, Senaka thought about the days when she herself had obtained an hourglass with some of the beasts' hide embezzled on the outside. "It looked like fools gold," she murmured as she saw in her mind the trinket. Shaking her head, she sighed before continuing.

"But that will not be of any help. What will is to know who would want to take the Great Despair from its shrine, yes?"

(sorry, I know these are gettnig kinda long. I hope you don't mind. But you have to admit these are some pretty important details, right? ^'^)

Ace smiles at her and looks back at his hand held computer doing something on it "This is a new technology we created that allows us t do things more efficiantly without wasting power. Also I got a message that says you can move around but not do any strenouse activities...such as fighting, running, and stuff like that so lets take a walk." Ace stands up taking his gloves off and holds his hand out to her to take "I'll show you around my city and give you a glimps into the Human's past before your species came about on this planet aswell as all the others but dogs of course."
