I have to agree with you in her negative points.

My hate for her began with the date. It really was a weird time to ask for one now I that I think about it. Though in Crisis Core it does explain that Cloud fell just like Zack through the ceiling, the fact that she just asked for a date after that....irks me, even though she was just copying Zack...since when he fell from the ceiling, he was the one who asked for a date.

Funny...I heard this one Cleris fan say that Tifa was a stalker. xd

When the party went to Gongaga, I was expecting Aeris to react more strongly, rather than just go out and think to herself and then flirt with Cloud. But perhaps here she was trying to forget. A point here might actually be that she still holds strong feelings for him. Also in "The Maiden" when Zack appears in the lifestream, she remembered why she loved him.

Of course...in Crisis Core....we can bet that her bad qualities won't be there. She'd be a perfect angel. However, her true personality will forever be engraved in FFVII...and most canon as well.

You are right, Crisis Core really changes her personality, I saw the end on youtube, and while I don't want to give away too much, it was OBVIOUS that she knew when he died. That completely goes against her actions in the game. When you put the two of them together it makes her, if possible, even more unappealing.

The fact that she saw Zax in Cloud makes it even worse in my opinion. You have no idea what happened to your boyfriend, so you replace him with the first guy that reminds you of him? Not only is that a disgrace to Zax... it's extremely cruel to Cloud T.T

Yeah....now that you mention it.....if you combine the prequel to the original game, Square is actually making her a lot more flawed...especially with seeing Zack in Cloud and flirting with him. In Crisis Core it's obvious that she loved Zack....she always waited for him...but now she decides to chase after Cloud.

What I don't understand, is that the ribbon she wears is from Zack. So when she flirts with Cloud and supposedly, has fallen in love with him by the end of VII, then why is she still wearing the ribbon? O_O She still wears it in AC. In Maiden. I don't get why she would still wear that, especially if she's giving Zack the cold shoulder in the Lifestream, anyway! I know that Zack and Aeris made some sort of promise... though I am not quite sure what that was. Perhaps it was that Zack promised to see her, but never came? But even if he didn't keep his promise, he can't really help it if he DIED along the way! And she knew....

She knew but in VII she acts like she doesn't even care. At first I thought it was denial, and then I thought hell, she really does know. But then in Maiden, she is surprised to see that Zack is dead. No, actually--- she wasn't surprised, but it seemed more like she just didn't care. O_O I don't have the direct quote, but I could get it if I wanted to. But the way she said it was kinda like: "Oh, you're dead too?"

And then she was mean to him for the rest of the time. I don't understand what Zack did to make her so ticked off. . . I really REALLY hope that Crisis Core can clear some of this stuff up, or else the creators really did a bad job or portraying Aeris' feelings. X_X Because, I don't even know who the hell she wants or why! XDD

I mean, in Maiden it appears that she truly does love Cloud. She says he's shy and timid and so unlike Zack--- and that's the good thing about him. I thought it was really cold, that she actually said that to Zack's face, though. I'm concluding in my mind, that Zack probably did something to Aeris in CC. And I think it involves that Cissinei(sp) chick. : O
Well, whatever he did--- if anything--- he probably didn't do intentionally. He wouldn't have a reason to. O_O

And it's not just Maiden that confirms Aerith loves Cloud not Zack.
There is a section that speaks of Aerith's feelings for Cloud in FFVII Dismantled. She says that she realizes that Cloud is nothing like Zack and that she likes Cloud more than Zack anyways. I believe she calls him dull and dense about women! heart xd
And what matters most is FFVII, the original game. Aerith says on their date that things are different and she is over Zack. Surely she still has a place for him as her 'first love' but people move on.

Taking CC into consideration you have to keep in mind that they are like what...15? And people change. Ideas changes. Love changes. That's life people. And they are only teens first 'experiencing' love. That's how I saw their relationship atleast. ^^
And alot of what CC says is confusing. Like Aerith wearing pink because Zack said. I mean Aerith wears pink in BC before she even met Zack. So that doesnt make sense. xD And most Zerith scenes are recycled Clerith ones. Square needs some originiality.

It's true....they do change (Wait, only Cloud was 15. Aren't Zack and Aeris...like 17? 18? So actually they are pretty close to adults.) So Pink, I don't know if "time" should really be a factor to how Aeris and Zack loved each other. You can't deny that she loved him. She may have come to love Cloud too, as she said, but also keep in mind that Aeris denies her own feelings too. In The Maiden, when she was actually "thinking" of Cloud, Zack appeared. That might suggest that she's still hung over Zack. I think CC can pretty much confirm this....because Zeris' love is quite deep. I mean, they made their own promise, just like how Cloud and Tifa made a promise to each other.

And yeah, Square does need to be more creative and consistent with their ideas. xp

Don't worry. I know it's not just Maiden. I knew that Aeris truly loved Cloud after she came to him in that dream. At least, that's where I started to see her true feelings shine through. I mean of course she flirted with him throughout the entire game, but she said she "saw" Zack in him and so... I think it took her awhile to really discover what she liked about Cloud. I mean technically I guess... you could say she really started to like him after the datescene (if you got her for your date) because that's where she mentions that she wants to get to know the real Cloud. Which makes it clear that she is more interested in his personality, than Zacks. ^^;

You know... it doesn't SEEM like Aeris has a place for him. I mean, she's still wearing his gifts, but she's totally cold to him the entire game, and in Maiden?! I don't get it. It makes me a bit miffed. xD

I believe Aeris was 16, since she's a year older than Cloud. (Cloud was 15, right? If he was 16, then Aeris was already 17...) I don't think it was just "teens first experiencing" love.
Recycled Clerith scenes? What do you mean? ^^; Technically, all the CC scenes came first, so wouldn't the Clerith scenes be recycled Zerith scenes? XDD
WAAH I JUST DON'T KNOW ANYMORE.
Though, the Zerith scenes have a bit more to them. Like Zack calling Aeris and angel, and HE being the one to ask her out on dates. Sharing a moment at the park. <33 That actually was Zerith's scene first. Because when Aeris goes to the park with Cloud in VII, she says: "I can't believe it's still here..." x3
ANYHOW, I didn't really consider Cloud meeting Aeris as a "Cleris" scene, and the same thing goes for the park. xDD

Yes well 'technically' Zerith comes first in the FFVII timeline but they made FFVII before CC (obviously). So the Clerith scenes were made before they even thought about CC. Make sense? xd

I think that Square recycled those scenes on purpose to highlight why Aeris was attracted to Cloud. (When they met, after she got to know him she loved him for him not for her memories of Zack).

Ahh, I understand. But it seems they thought of some Zerith scenes first, as well... They had to have at least thought about what went on between Cloud Zack and Aeris some-what while they were still creating FFVII, I think.

But yeah, KDD. That's true. They probably did recycle the scenes on purpose. xD

Anyway, how many years ago did the events of Crisis core take place? If it was 6 years ago, then Cloud was 15 and Aeris was 16. Not that I really think age matters some. You can be 80 years old an have never experienced true love. It's not likely, but it could happen.
